  1. Ok... I've been looking for the right words to describe this concert since yesterday evening but I'm still in a kind of "shocked" state so I'll Come back later if I ever find words ^^ The only thing I can say by now is that it was out of this world! I've been Dreaming of hearing Mika with a symphonic orchestra from the Very beginning of my love for him and his music and it clearly goes beyond any expectations I could have Had about it! I want to listen to this for ever!!! i was a bit worried because, as a classical music lover and being myself part of an orchestra, I knew this kind of performance is reaaaally difficult and that Mika Had no Space for any possible mistake because one can hear everything in such a venue and in such conditions. Not only everything was perfect but the émotions that every song provided was unbeleivable!!! I Feel like I've rediscovered every single song as if I was listening to them for The Very first Time and this is an amazing feeling, really. I was also a bit frustrated not being allowed to stand up and dance as wé usually do at gigs, especially on love today. Anyway it was absolutely worth it to be a bit frustrated but get to focus on listening to this perfect performance instead.
  2. I'm not a Local at all but as I've already visited the Biodome I would say it's not to put on a top list of things to visit in Montreal if you only have little time to discover the town (to my very personal opinion of course). However it's a warm place (especially the "tropical" part ) and it's a great way to get a better idea of the very various and interesting faune living in Canada
  3. Be carefull with the sim cards because I've experienced some trouble when I bought one the first time I went to Montreal. I guess it depends of the phone you use and mostly if your actuall phone is locked or not. For instance, Iphones are "simcard locked" in Switzerland, which means that whenever you try to put another one in your phone it won't work because your phone is protected (a very clever way from Apple to make sure you can't give your phone to anybody and to force you to ask for their services and pay for it here you can only "de-simlocked" your Iphone if it's 2 years old or more....). Be sure it's not the case with German phones too before bying a card in Canada. I ended up with a bright new simcard but no way to make it work in Canada except for trying to have it de-simlocked calling Apple in Switzerland but I gave up before that eventually their are small shop that de-lock you phone if you pay for it but it depends of the version of your phone. My phone was too new and they couldn't change anything on it... I've seen several of those shops in Montreal, their must be some in Toronto too i think. Anway, I guess it's only an Apple thing so if you don't have an Iphone or if your phone is not simlocked you won't have any trouble changing the sim card I guess
  4. I have a spare ticket for the 2nd night. Ticket is parterre rank K, right next to Deb and I Of course I sell it the price I've paid for it Feel free to write me if interested
  5. Of course I'm in it sounds so great! I'm really looking forward to see everyone there
  6. that's the biggest problem with gigs in Switzerland: you're always far too close from the border wherever you are
  7. you're very welcome well..hem... it's Switzerland... you know how it is But it's not in the most expensive part of Switzerland. Hotels and meals for instance may be far less expensive there than in "big" cities such as Geneva or Zurich
  8. I've just seen the news It's a very small festival but the location is beautiful and there is generally a good atmosphere there (actually I've only been there once ). here is what the main stage looks like (there are only 2 stages actually and the 2nd one is REALLY small lol): and an idea of the landscape there: If anyone is planning a trip to Switzerland please feel free to write me
  9. the thing is that french spoken in Canada is much more "friendly" (= less formal) than french spoken in France or Switzerland as far I could compare both during my few weeks spent in french speaking Canada. also in Canada they use a lot of "old french" words which are not used anymore in Europe. Not speaking of the accent and their tons of very "local" expressions But anyway, if you have some notions of "basic french" just like "bonjour" etc... you won't have any problem to get what you want AND people mostly speak both french and english over there
  10. yeaaaaaah!!! a party in Montreal wouldn't be a real party without noodles
  11. What a great idea!! It would definitely be pretty cool to have a party all together I chose wednesday because it looks easier for everyone to be there but I don't really care as I'll be here and available on any of the 3 day anyway Also, if you need any help to organize things, etc... even though I'm not a "local", I'll be happy to help if I can as I'll be in Montreal during the whole week (And I've already passed my "can you understand our canadian accent?" exam thanks to Guylaine )
  12. I did watch a part it!! and tbh all i can say is that it was booooooring... people (well, mostly Céline actually...) kept talking and talking and talking. They only sang at the very end of the show. I think it was a "special" one as everything was quite based on Céline, maybe (I hope so!) it will be different for the one with Mika and others. I'm not a big fan of Michel Drucker (who I've always found very boring and a bit too much playing the "good old grandfather" with everyone...). But I have to say that what made this show so uninteressant is that both Michel Drucker and Julie Snyder are too much friends with Céline to be in a position to make a good interview of her or of the other people there who where absolutely inexistant even though the production tried to show some reports about what they're doing, etc... basically the structure of the show was smthg like "Céline talking, Julie and Michel congratulating her and telling the world how wonderful she is, a small report about Céline, a small report about someone else, 2-3 stupid questions to that other people, Céline talking, etc...). As céline won't be there with Mika, it will surely be different. But I'm not convinced the structure of the show itself will lead to anything very interesting....
  13. Don't know what is happening this time but I'm totally in a worldcup mood Go Switzerland!!!
  14. When I was there with my sis' a few years ago we've spent 2 nights in this hotel: - http://www.hotelquartierdesspectacles.com/fr/ People were very friendly and helpful and our room was great. The only negative point is that you have to climb some stairs with your luggage when you arrive and breakfast is not in the hotel itself but in a small café right next to it (but it's very close and the café was fine ). I would absolutely recommend it
  15. No?? oh I'm so disappointed then!! I was secretly hoping that Mika would sign it and it's going to be more difficult for you to localize me in the crowd without it
  16. so this sale was epic (as usual ). But I got the precious tix for both nights and I'm so happy everyone has too I'm so glad I'll be part of those amazing gigs!! a big thank you to MFC, Mika's team and everyone involved! I can only imagine how stressfull it should have been for you all I'm soooo looking forward to see you all there. I guess it's the very first time in my life that I'm so excited about going to a freezing place anyway, I just can't wait to be there with you all
  17. Orchestre symphonique + Mika = OMG :wub2: Orchestre symphonique + Mika + Canada = diantre! z'aimerais y aller Orchestre symphonique + Mika + Canada + Mikacopines + 2 dates + concert assis = j'arriiiiiiiiiive :woot_jump:
  18. They're just perfect tbh I was afraid of being disappointed since I've been waiting for such a long time to see them (and my tastes in Music changes a bit, even though I still love them) but the exact opposite happened. They totally rock!! I'll totally run to see them again if the come back to Switzerland once
  19. I'm so much in a "Hanson" mood that I need to come here The reason of my crisis is the following: after 15 years of patient awaiting... I'VE FINALLY SEEN THEM LIVE LAST SATURDAY!!!!!!! It was only their second time in Switzerland and, tbh, I'm not sure they'll come back very soon re how disrespectful the audience was (everyone was speaking out loud, people were getting in and out the place very loudly and it's been very difficult for them to catch everyone's attention.... until they sang Mmmmmbop which everyone was waiting for obviously ). Anyway, IT WAS GREAAAAT!!! The show was great and quite long (almost 2 hours!!) and their choice of songs was just perfect to me!!! they even sang 2 songs from "Snowed In" at the end of the show which totally drove me crazy Anyway: I've seen the Hanson live and I'm SOOOOO happy about it
  20. OMG can't beleive we finally managed to find it!!! This was a torture to me!!!
