David & I are about the same, but he's been depressed lately. He hasn't told me why, but I don't push him. I just tell him that I'm here for him if he wants to talk, and that he should know that Aiden & I care about him. I think he might be depressed that he doesn't have a job. But I just encourage him, and try to make him laugh, cheer him up I really love him, and just want him to be happy again How have things been with you? Has there been anymore weird snow storms? Aiden's been sick coughing & needing nebulizer treatments for his breathing all week, but thankfully he is much better today He's still energetic & happy, and he's really looking forward to Christmas (so am I ) School is a lot of fun now! We learned saute, shallow frying, and deep frying so far. We had a chicken wing contest (wings are a very big deal over here in America...especially hot wings dipped in blue cheese dressing or barbeque wings). I did something different. I just made the chicken wings how I make my chicken tenders! I added some lemon juice to the egg wash, and breaded them in panko breading with my favorite herb, dill. My sauce was just hot clarified butter with garlic salt in it. It was yummy, and the judges loved it, but I wasn't the winner. Haha it's okay, my family still wants me to make them sometime

Hey hun! First, I sent you an email with 2 soup recipes. The cookie recipe is on it's way! I left the conversions at school, so they'll be in your email tomorrow. I'm sorry it's so late, but I hope you still get to make them for school! As far as your internet getting taken away, it's always the bad ones that seem to ruin it for the rest! It's pretty late in the day, but I haven't eaten yet. I'm going to try french toast on the grill! I hope it doesn't get too sloppy lol but it might be nice and crispy on the outside, but soft in the middle...that's what I'm hoping for Last night my dad invited my 19 year old nephew over and David to watch an Eagles game. I was upstairs cooking with Adam, but after Adam left, I went downstairs and watched the last 12 minutes of the game. It was intense! But the Eagles won I let everyone go upstairs except David and I decided to give him his Christmas presents early. I just got him some Axe body spray and a gift certificate to a seafood restaurant called Red Lobster. He walked over, put his arms around me, and gave me a very romantic kiss Haha I was not expecting that! Well, I hope you continue to get well, and I hope you have a great day at school

Thank you for translating the sous-vide & euros for me Yes, you vacuum seal it, and cook it in hot water, and once the meat is the same temp as the water, then it's done. It's supposed to seal in a lot of flavor, and I thought it would be a good idea to try. If it's not too time-consuming then I might sous-vide my center of plate items in my restaurant, unless the customer wants it at a different done-ness. Last night I made veal cordon bleu, but I only had applewood smoked gruyere, so I used that and it was SOOO good! I also made a hollandaise sauce and it turned out very well I made my famous strawberry pastry tarts lol, lobster/butter/cheese stuffed white mushrooms, and angel hair pasta with a buttery vegetable oil, garlic salt, & dill weed Mmm..it was yummy!

Next week I start a new class called "Rudiments of Cooking" where we'll learn every single type of cooking style such as saute, braising, roasting, grilling, etc. I hope we learn how to sous vide! We've read about it, but I want to try it I'm glad you get to have peace & quiet while you do your school work At least that will help you rest, and let you concentrate too Well I hope you feel so much better soon hun!

Oh hun, I am so sorry to hear that you went to the hospital! I'm glad you have medication though...I just hope you shake this sickness soon The tv show I love is called Top Chef and this season they have "All-Stars" it's a few people from all of the past seasons, and they are all fighting for the chance to prove themselves as Top Chef, and the winner gets $250,000!!! Sorry, I don't know how to convert that to euros I'm so sorry I've been behind on sending you those wrapping paper pics and the cookie and sauce recipes :/ Today was my practical, and I've been stressing about it for a while! But, I passed my tests! I got a 90% on my hollandaise sauce, and a 100% on my Cheddar & Leek soup

Today in school we learned about meat and where certain cuts come from on cattle. Tomorrow we'll learn about pork & poultry. I got to try to cut a 12 ounce steak off of a huge hunk of beef....I wasn't too far off...I had a 14 ounce cut lol but luckily there was some fat to be trimmed off, so that made it a little less lol. It will take practice, but I didn't do too bad for my first time Haha I guess that makes 2 of us today We both tried something new and didn't do too bad of a job I hope you have a nice day off tomorrow

My favorite cooking show started last week and the 2nd episode is tomorrow night Your hummus sounds really yummy! I like certain flavors of hummus, but not all of them lol.

Today my sisters Chelle and Ava came over and Chelle brought her kids- Johhna and Dillon. We all decorated Christmas cookies as a family and we had so much fun! Normally it gets really hectic because usually all of my nieces & nephews are sitting around one table, and all the adults get in the way...it's just too many people in one room. But this year there were only a couple, so it was much more relaxed and fun! LoL Aiden had fun putting a ton of sprinkles on the cookies! lol I made some Christmas Mice (it's basically like a peanutbutter cookie log, then you add m&ms for the eyes, a mini chocolate chip for the nose, and licorice for the tail, but you can be creative too!) They are yummy, but I don't have the recipe lol. I'll see if I can get it from my mom. Tomorrow after church I'm just going to relax and wrap some presents How was your day? I ended up making him cream of broccoli soup last night, and my parents came out and ate some because they said it smelled so good! The funny thing is, they already had supper and they STILL ate my soup! I'll make the onion soup the next time though, so I'll have to let you know how that turns out! I'm also going to practice my Hollandaise sauce, because I'm still not very good at it yet I'll tell you what, if you give me a few days, I'll send you the recipes for the 3 soups I made in school, and the 2 cookie recipes I just have to sit down and convert them Which I don't mind...I love math! LoL I'll have to take a picture of my wrapping paper and bows and send it to you! They all match and they look really cool! The paper is shiny silver with green circles, & inside the circles are different colored snowflakes! LoL The bows are different colored green and blue, & the ribbon is a sparkley blue/green color I like to make everything match, but not look too tacky.
