1. Creeping and translating. Good Mika, learning Portuguese.
2. One of my favs either! Cute melody, smart lyrics that I wish I could throw right at some people I used to go to school with...
3. @Rose Thanks for the train info!! That will be mostly useful I shall speak about it with Saskia and Laura and... *sleeps on the train*
5. For those of you who can't watch the vid, have you tried to download Silverlight? I'd say that's what's missing.
6. I LOVE IT! He looks genuinely happy there and it really makes you wanna dance and enjoy the fun. Well done, M!
7. Not me. Yessssssssssssssssss, happy can't even describe it. But, Mika, please, give me time to recover from this year's madne$$. Oh, by the way, let me add that it's Milton Nascimento, and not Milton Nascimiento. And it's Mariza, not Marizia.
8. Actually there are quite a few festivals in Brazil, but they usually happen between October and February. Guess he's not coming over for festivals then... I hope it's a TOUR as we know it.
9. He couldn't have done it better, it seems... It's like he had it all planned since ever, just waiting to be thrown at us all.
10. This is brilliant. MIKA is an indie/pop contradiction understood by only his most addicted fans the world over. Too bubblegum in his singles for the East Village hipsters, too intellectual in his symphonic arrangements for the Midwestern tweeners, and perhaps just a touch too flaymboyant to be fully understood by the largely conservative American audience, MIKA fits best with people who, like their idol, don’t fit into a niche.
11. Mika, honey, go back to bed. Sleeping in the middle of the street isn't helping enough.
12. I always feel so stupid when he so brilliantly talks. And he mentions Beirut!! Aaaaaaaw, I love them since they were part of a Brazilian series soundtrack. That's very crazy indeed, but also brilliant! I haven't heard of her before and simply loved this song. She makes me think of a Brazilian singer called Rita Lee. They have quite different styles and maybe it's me, but their voices sound very similar. EXACTLY.
13. I was waiting for someone with good English to do that for me. Thank you!
14. Yes, that's what made me think it was "machismo" in the first place, but then considering it... only Portuguese (and maybe especially Brazilian people) speakers can confirm what I say, but e-v-e-r-y t-i-m-e I hear an English speaker speaking Portuguese, "T" sounds like txxxxxxxxxx. It's like saying "batxismo" instead of "batismo". We actually do that a little as well, but it doesn't sound so "strong" (can't find a proper word here), and it seems that when an English speaker tries to learn words like these, they try to reproduce the sound we make but it doesn't work. I'm with you.
15. See, Rosa? Yeah, could be that, but I prefer to think that it's all in Latin since I can't get a freaking word.
16. I hardly know Portuguese and English, don't ask me about Latin grammar. Ok, I give up. For now.
