I know it's not the New Year yet, but I have begun accomplishing the first on my list. I finished my drawing of Mika.

OK, I had a few suggestions of what to draw, but I found myself drawn [no pun intended] to one particular photo, so here is my latest drawing.

I hope this thread hasn't already been started and I've missed it? If anyone still makes a New Years Resolution, what will it be for 2014? I'm curious about serious resolutions. Things that are attainable and possibly improve either yourself or your community. I will start... 1. I plan to draw regularly. I am currently drawing one now, but I am going to try and draw with new techniques and mediums to broaden my abilities. 2. I want to try to go out socially more. I'm a bit of a homebody. I go to work and then go home. 3. (This one is weird) I want to try and unclutter my world. I have acquired things (physically and emotionally) that I feel I do not need. I will try to clear them out of my life and lessen my burden. Now it's your turn, if you wish to contribute. Happy New Year!

Chicago was my first. My daughter won tickets on his Facebook page. We also saw him in Minneapolis on his Intimate tour. I wrote a review on that thread if you want to read it. We stayed and met him both times. Chicago there were about 100 people so it wasn't very personal, just signed our tix. In MN there were only about 25-30 so we actually talked to him. We also met Curtis and Max. No one else saw them so I ran over and chatted for a few minutes.

I was also at the Chicago show in Oct 2012 with my daughter! Where were you standing? We were up front.

Deb, we're not old if we're Mika fans. Old people couldn't stand in line for hours, then stand and jump around through one of his concerts and survive! I forgot to mention, that I am married [26 years now],also. I have an almost 24 year old son who is a theater student in college and a 20 year old daughter that goes to Mika concerts with me! And I'm the one that turned her onto him, not the other way around. I have met a few MFC people at shows in Chicago and Minneapolis, but I'm hoping that I will get the nerve to meet up with some more of you great fans on the next US tour. I haven't even met with Dee and we live in the same damn city! Why haven't we yet?

Hello, My Fellow American Mika fans! [and everyone else] Nicóla Ronaa [#99] is my given name, but you can call me Nikki. I am also from Nebraska, but I was born and raised in Minnesota. I have been working in music retail for over 25 years [yes, I'm that old] and I don't know if I could do anything else for a living. I also love to draw. You can see some of my things here. I will add more as I finish them. I have been a Mika fan since before he was released in the US. I discovered him through the Brian May website brianmay.com when the guitar god himself defended him against the critics. And you can probably guess, I am a HUGE Queen fan as well. I have seen Mika twice in concert, but wish I had gone to more shows. I have also seen Queen in concert. Once in 1982, with Freddie and John, and again in 2006 with Paul Rodgers. I have also seen Brian May in concert in 1992 and met him backstage after. If you want to chat about anything, I'm open to telling stories or listening to yours.

In Omaha we had a couple of inches snow last week, but nothing since. It's also supposed to be up to 40 degrees today. The winter here is always a contradiction. It can be -30 with no snow, or we could get dumped on with 14 inches, but 5 days later it would be 45 degrees and melting away. Coming from Minnesota, I found it difficult to get used to.

I have seen him in both Chicago and Minneapolis, so if you need a concert buddy for the next tour, I'm sure I would volunteer! Here are a couple of videos my daughter and I took from those shows.
