  1. So disappointed for Mika and all the fans who got tickets to Boston, but it's important that he gets plenty of rest. Wishing him a swift recovery.
  2. Midnight Sky - Miley Cyrus This is one of my new favourite songs. I love that it sounds like the 80s!
  3. Yeah, there's a whole series of them - I think I actually have most of them! What I like about them is that they're really quirky and I would never have thought up some of the prompt ideas on my own.
  4. This is some great advice! I'll try it next time I'm looking for inspiration I often find that writing prompts help when I'm searching for new ideas. There are plenty of them on the internet and there are also some amazing books. One of my favourites is 642 Things To Write About by the San Francisco Writer's Grotto. I'd definitely recommend it to writers of all genres and abilities!
  5. I've never watched Eurovision before and, to be honest, I've never had an interest in it... until now, that is. Needless to say, I'll be watching this year! Personally, I'm happy about the announcement. I'm sure he'll be such a charming presenter and it might even introduce him to new fans.
  6. Yeah it's not always easy - I wish it was! I have a few novel ideas and have started planning for them, but the thought of actually writing them seems a bit overwhelming at times. Still, I'm determined. My main advice is to never give up! I don't know if you've heard of Goodreads? I think they may have forums where you can talk to other readers/writers. There's also Wattpad, although it seems to be more aimed at fanfiction writers. The Mika related project sounds exciting! Glad you enjoyed university and have finally found a full-time job. I didn't go to uni but I did go to college and, while I liked the experience, I didn't feel it prepared me enough for job-hunting. Maybe we should all team up and start our own writers' forum together?
  7. I relate to you both so much! Although I currently have a part-time freelance job, I've been looking for something full-time since I left college in 2018. Countless applications later, I'm still looking. Good to know I'm not alone! My family are moving house soon to an area where there are more job opportunities, so hopefully this will help me in my search. What I really want to do is become a novelist some day, but it would be nice to get a full-time job to help pay the bills in the meantime. Hope you can both achieve your goals of self-employment!
  8. Don't worry, I know what it's like to overthink too but I'm sure you'll be just fine. As Prisca said, there are fans of all ages (I'll be 24 in May) and everyone is very welcoming regardless of your age. I've only been to one MFC meet-up so far (10th anniversary in London) and although I didn't know anyone well and came by myself everyone was so friendly. I'm sure you'll have a great time and it might even boost your confidence
  9. I love this idea! Not sure what day I'll be arriving in London yet but I'll definitely be there on the Saturday
  10. Happy birthday Silver! :happybday:

Hope you're having a good day :original:

  11. Oh, well that's even more ideal - hopefully you can get a room there! I'm hoping to stay at a more central base as I'm planning to do some sightseeing, but also one that isn't too far away from the venue.
  12. I'm thinking of staying at the Travelodge near London Euston. Stayed there before for concerts and it's only three tube stops away from the Roundhouse, so it's another option if you're looking for somewhere to stay close by.
  13. Got my ticket now - so excited!! See you all in July
  14. Thank you so much Deb! It seems to be working for me now
  15. I'm also having trouble. It's constantly loading on Ticketmaster and the code is not valid on the Roundhouse website.
  16. I'm sure it will be worth it... if we can actually get tickets, that is!
  17. You guys have no idea how excited I am about the London date! After such a difficult couple of years, this is fantastic news for me
  18. I was not expecting to see this today, this is such a pleasant surprise! I'm literally shaking with excitement. Here's hoping I can get tickets!
  19. This is all so exciting! Can't wait for more dates to be announced
  20. It's a behind-the-scenes pic from a photoshoot he did in 2019 for Style Magazine Italia.
  21. This is all so exciting! Hopefully this means new music is coming soon
