can't get enough, each time i discover the meaning of MIKA's lyrics I get surprised, it's stunning, so deep meaning and truthful, it makes you love the song more than ever
-
Exactly! I remember that when I was younger and started to listen to Mika I didn't think about the lyrics (the hidden meanings etc.) and later I was really surprised that there's always a true story or experience behind each song. Unfortunately I think it's how most of the people see his songs, just superficial, but there's so much more than only nice tunes... What song (or better its meaning) did you discover now?
-
Yes exactly, I remember the first time i looked for the meaning of "toy boy" i was amased, it's just genius and sad, it makes me cry, he's honest in every single word, it's magic, how he projects his life through his songs, i got obssessed with this song for a very long time, and these days, i discovered the meaning of "Tah dah" and "stardust", i'm not a native english speaker, so when I heard a song even hundreds of times I don't pay attention to the meaning. I'm so pleased

me too I didn't understand everything
his sister "yasmine" as a teenager was completely in love with a boy, and mika was conviced that he is gay, so he didn't say nothing and wrote this song, he sang it to his sister and invented the rest of the story. He wasn't accusing this young man, because he saw himself in the future, at that stage no one of his family know that he is gay.

have you ever known about that???

Hello girls!!! as you might have seen, Mika is about to release his album next year qnd he wasn't contacted by his label and they haven't yet heard any song from the album. And you remember in an italian talk, Mika asked us his fans to support him on twitter. So, I was wondering, is there a way, something we can do, an action plan, to promote him. If many people participate, I don't know we can achieve something. If you have any idea or remark let me know.
Kisses

Yes, it seems his record label gave up on him and he does this album by his own... but at least he said he gained a lot of freedom, so let's hope everything will be fine in the end
I've also seen that interview and I understood that he asked to Twitter as social media platform to promote his album, in exchange for the promotion he did talking so much about Twitter in that interview, not to his fans... it was some kind of joke But I am sure that when the album will be released, his fans will make some noise all over the media

I don't care what anyone else is talking about, all I wanna talk about you
I don't care where I am, I'm gonna come back to you
I don't care what language I'm speaking in, all I'm gonna hear is your name

I don't know but I feel like like greg wells is throwing some shade to Mika

I saw an interview of MIKA in 2015, he said that he recognises that he made a huge mistake when he didn't put promiseland into the original version of the album I thought that he wrote it after the release of the album
And now I've just noticed that promiseland, rio and porcelain don't figure on spotify france, what a loss

I think there'll be still a standard and a deluxe edition (and I actually like deluxe editions, I still buy physical copies of my favourite albums) but I'm not really a fan of repacks and regional versions...
I've already heard that he regretted not putting Promiseland on the standard version of the album and to be honest I like it more than the title track TAY and even SATS, but who knows if it would be more successful, it's always hard to make such a decision...

I'm supposed to go to sleep, but I'm just spending the night watching MIKA's concerts videos, I found this one, and apparently MIKA is talking to Andy, if you 've never seen that
Also this video, MIKA is interacting so much with curtis, "newbies we're just discovering new things", anyway, here he even sang for him LYWD.
