I'm kind of jealous that you even have a choice, I had like 3 options – plane (2 hours), bus (13-14 hours), train (16-17 hours)... I really wish the trains in Europe were faster.

I think that while traveling between different countries only EU QR code is valide.
Scanner in France (for example) can't read German (local) codes. Only EU codes.
So EU QR codes are universal.
I think we only have one QR code, the one on the Covid certificate which you can also use in the national app.

Honestly, I don't know how you do that. I very rarely dream about Mika.
A few days of Mika withdrawal would probably help, but is out of the question.
Or maybe you need even more Mika so your brain does not have a way to escape it!

The clothing was really cheap, colourful suits and dresses from £3 each!
Tbh, I found your whole dream (both of them actually) pretty realistic, this was the moment where I stopped believing that it could become true...

Me neither, I couldn't High heels are not good for your feet and back if you wear them often. Beautiful of course but not healthy.
I was actually thinking of changing my shoes before the event... Maybe even right before the venue.

So I guess I have to visit as much as possible on both Friday and Saturday...

I guess I'll end up in ballerinas anyway... But no platforms.

I've bought new pumps and the heels are 3" so I guess I'll be about 185-186 cm with them? That would be only 5 cm less than Mika. If I dare to wear them... (And I know I said before that I don't wear heels and that's TRUE but I really liked the shoes and the other heels were even higher.)

You don't need necessarly to be rich, having enough healthy food already helps.
Yeah I know, I wasn't complaining at all, only making fun that although I live in one of the tallest countries and my family is even taller than the average, we are not super rich...

A subfield of economic history research considers body size as an essential measure of a country's biological standard of living and economic development. The more prosperous a community, the taller the people who live in it. This branch of research is called anthropometric history.
Tbh, I don't think it's just that because if you look at the list of countries with tallest persons, not all of them are the most prosperous... So there has to be more factors, also people in the north tend to be taller than people in the south.
Btw, I'm 10 cm taller than the average woman in my country and about 4 cm taller than the average person. And I wish I was rich.

They got a bit boisterous, but a couple of home-made confetti canons quickly subdued them.
I cracked up at the home-made confetti canons... That's hilarious!

Last week I was in a nice boutique and looked for a cocktail dress. The owner of the boutique came and asked me if she could help me, I told her I was looking for a nice dress for October and she told me " for October? You don´t need to look for October because we will be shut down again by then!" I left the shop at once, I don´t want to think about things like this.......
That doesn't sound very customer friendly, she should have been happy about the possibility to sell a dress, I guess she wasn't the owner of the shop but with this attitude she can close the shop right now...

But, currently sat in Tesco cafe with a hot chocolate, and they're playing Queen's Lover Boy
NO WAY, last week I've been to the mall and there was a café that serves hot chocolate AND THEY PLAYED LOVER BOY!
But it wasn't a Tesco café, it's called "Mondieu - Organic Bistro & Chocolat". It seems that Lover Boy & chocolate is a well-known combination all over the world.

I'd love to have that dress, and an occasion to wear it! My wedding dress was a bit like that, and I gotta say it's not very practical for anything except standing around and looking pretty, but it's nice anyway. During the photoshoot outside I had an exquisite selection of insects in between the tulle layers (including spiders), my husband kept stepping on the dress while we were dancing, and I won't even start to explain what "fun" it is to use the toilet with such a dress... 😅 Anyway, you feel like a princess. And you realize why princesses need help for everything.
I had a dress like that for my prom night and I really felt like a princess even though it wasn't easy to get dressed, there was even a crinoline for the huge skirt so I do get why princesses needed servants...

Update: I've received the certified copy of my birth certificate. Rang the passport helpline and was told the name difference would be queried, so I have to get a 'statutory declaration' from a solicitor explaining the discrepancy.
So now I have a solicitors appointment for tomorrow afternoon. For which I need to provide evidence of who I am (utility bill, bank statement/card, id card from work, etc). Cue running around gathering documents.
It'll be worth it in the end. Mika, I hope you appreciate all this!
I'm sorry to hear that, sounds really complicated and exhausting, hopefully you'll get your passport soon!
Btw, wouldn't it be easier to have an ID card in the UK? Just saying because without it, everything seems even more complicated than having one extra card.

I love both!! Though I do think the colour on the right suits you best of the two.
I have to admit that the colours appear a bit different in the photos due to the bad lightning conditions – the dress is a bit brighter and on the other hand, the blouse is not as bright as it seems. Maybe it's better in this photo I took now:
(The dress is new so I still kept the labels on in case I'm going to return it but I think I'll keep it... )

As for the mask, I have respirators in the colour of the first dress, for the second outfit I could probably buy a black one...

And since there is no dress code for the location, they don't really have the right to do that, do they?
I'm sure they don't really care about it so it's up to you. I think that your clothes are appropiate, personally I'd prefer the black trousers with the blue blouse, I think that would be a really nice combination. The shoes are fine too.
So far I'm thinking about these two outfits, of course I'd need a jacket and I'd wear tights with the dress. The silver clutch would be the same for both outfits and I have new black pumps with tiny black rhinestones (but they are just a bit shiny so it isn't anything over-the-top).

They told him to wear jeans and t-shirt and he appeared in suite with tie.
So how about we appear all there with jeans and t-shirt?
As the experts say, it's always better to be overdressed than underdressed so I wouldn't take the risk tbh...

That's a good point actually. How expensive is Paris generally?
I've never been in Paris but from my experiences from France (last time I've been there was two years ago in summer on the French Riviera, which is probably also a more expensive area), for example average restaurants were far more expensive than in countries like Italy, Spain or Germany. The cheapest options for lunch/dinner was a menu for at least 25-30 € and of course, these weren't by far the most expensive restaurants. So it depends on your budget, but I would expect it will be rather expensive.

That's actually my plan, to eat in the creperies, as it's usually the only affordable way for me to eat in France. And they offer both salty and sweet crepes. I remember being in Strasbourg with a friend, we wanted to eat a Flammkuchen (sorry, I only know the German name for it) and the restaurants were all super expensive. Then we found a nice creperie, where we ordered both a Flammkuchen AND a sweet crepe as a dessert for half of the price of the Flammkuchen in a restaurant. And it was both really delicious.

Now I checked the trains again because it seemed too much and today I found trains with less stops that take about 12 hours...
I've indeed done 10 hours bus trips to Mika gigs before but I guess 10 hours is the limit for me.
