None of them look familiar... maybe it wasn't who I thought it was...

I might have to ask Sean Connery (aka our Pipe Major :naughty:) what towns they went to... whereabouts what that filmed?

That was in Pitlochry - on a Monday night - which locally is called

Highland Night - they march to the recreation ground, then play for

the crowds, along with singers and dancers! :thumb_yello:

You're forgiven! :das: (esp for the last pic!)

I must admit, I don't post as many pics of men in kilts as I should... but I do do it occasionally (okay, when I get a good pic of Adam basically! :naughty:)

Wendi?

I found out where the band went in Scotland...

I mentioned Pitlochry, and he said about playing at Nethie Bridge.. (I think that's how it's spelt!)...

Sounding familiar?

Nethy Bridge is further up country, near Aviemore!! :thumb_yello:

It means nothing to me, but yeah.. .they went pretty much all over...

I know they were in Glasgow, Edinburgh... ummmm.... I can't remember anywhere else!

Oh, I cracked the sh!ts at the Scotsman in the band... he can't go around speaking so rudely to people and expecting people to turn up on time to practice when the pipers start tuning up 1/2 hour after they should have... :sneaky2:

Cranky bastard... he's learnt not to piss off the bass drummer.

Well done!!! :roftl: I don't see any need for rudeness at all!!

The bands here have the pipers arriving half an hour before the

drummers, so they are tuned up ready to go!!

What they do here is practice on their chanters, then get their pipes...

This is what we're supposed to stick to...

7pm - Pipers arrive and practice on their chanters

7:45 pm - Start tuning up their pipes

8 pm - 8:30 pm - Whole band practice

Though the pipers don't even think about their pipes till 8pm, then they're ready at 8:30... then play for 15 mins...

And here I was under the impression that band practice time was for the whole band... with their instruments... People should be learning the new pipe tunes at home... (not that they should be learning too many new tunes... I think they should be perfecting the tunes they already know)...

But of course, if I bring that up, they dismiss it cause I'm only the bass drummer... :sneaky2:

Bass drummers rock!!!! :punk: You can put the whole band out if you

decide to put the finishing double beat in in the wrong place :roftl:

You get them told Tegan - I don't like it when its unorganised, and

it wastes so many people's time!!

Oh yeah! :punk:

I hate it being like that... I could go to work and not get out till after 8, and still wait around for then to get themselves organised...

The strange thing is, they got these fancy drone reeds that they would tune up once and they'd be pretty much good to go (I think thye might've needed a wee bit of fiddling)... yeah right... bloody pipers... always have to fiddle...
