Kates
I thought since The Outsiders is such a terrific book/movie it should get a thread dedicated to it It's by S.E. Hinton. I watched the movie today at school, and I've been crying since, it's so sad, but amazing at the same time! Anyone heard of it?

RosinaKiwi
I love the outsiders!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Nature's first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf's a flower, But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf, So Eden sank to grief. So dawn goes down to day, Nothing gold can stay." "Where did you learn that? That's what I meant. " "Robert Frost wrote it. I always remembered it because I never quite knew what he meant."

Mika4Life13
This was the saddest book I've ever read except for black beauty. I'm not a fan because i love happy endings.

I remember reading The Outsiders and watching the movie in year 10... really enjoyed it! Actually, I'd heard of it a few years before... considering it's set in Tulsa... and a certain group called Hanson come from there
