It started off by, oh I don't even remember but someone wanted to know what their member number was, which you can find if you press your profile and look at the address and you'll see it at the end. Then it got around to talking about how many people have posted on the boards and that there are only X amount of people that have actually posted and the X that have posted over 25, X over 1000 and so on and so on. (avg of 34 a day) The album was in the shops from Feb 5th, so you would think that would explain the massive jump...however...because I have no life, and I like doing these things.... (I am sure deano has a way to pull up these figures more accurately without doing what I did:mf_rosetinted:) we can see no significant surge in numbers at this point.... MFCs memberships went sort of like this (Jan 6 - )1st month 885 (Feb) 2nd month 937 (March) 3rd month 876 (April) 4th month 938 (May) 5th month 781 (June) 6th month 885 That is an average of 883 new members a month for the first half of MFC's first year of life, pretty amazing growth! The second half slowed a little, with an average of 562 new members per month. TOTAL for the first year was around 8676. Current total is 9442 members. Only 3539 of our current total members have ever posted, but even fewer... 2588 pople...have posted more than once, and only 998 of us have posted more than 25 times. And only a select 236 members have posted over 1000 times. and of thse 236 an even more select 146 are over 2000 posts and then there are just 61 members who have posted more than 5000 times and the really really addicted people are actually only 15 of us, who have cracked the 10,000 post ceiling. No, believe me, no free time here, it took me all day on and off, to collect and compose those numbers, doing a little bit here between lunch and dinner and taking kids to music lessons and everything.... I did it because I like looking at these kinds of things, I (myself) think it is interesting!! If you look waaaaaaay back, I did a set of figures for Grace Kelly downloads compared to Scissor Sisters once, and I did another one when Happy Ending was getting ranked as one of the most viewed videos on youtube at one stage.
