That is horrible. I had a b/f who's parents offered him a new car to dump me - and he did!!! The only thing I can say is - if he chose his parents over you then he would have beena difficult life partner - too tied to the mothers apron strings!! It will hurt like hell for a while - but don't forget you are a unique person, with a whole lifetime ahead of you - and after the pain, I hope you find someone who deserves you!! The only thing I can say is - if he chose his parents over you then he would have beena difficult life partner - too tied to the mothers apron strings!! It will hurt like hell for a while - but don't forget you are a unique person, with a whole lifetime ahead of you - and after the pain, I hope you find someone who deserves you!! You're so right! It sounds like a very cruel ultimatum from his dad!! He may take a few days/weeks to decide he actually DOES want to be with you - it was such a sudden decision that he may still be reeling from the shock as well.
