G'morning/afternoon, all.

Thanks, Bec, for waking me up at 8am. :mf_rosetinted:

In other news I've decided that the best way for me to lose weight is to become a vegetarian (which is something I've wanted to do for years anyway).

No problem Scut

You can blame Mike for it

(and hey, I got woken at 7... thats far worse :naughty:)

So no Nandos for you on friday (if we were going to get Nandos that is)

I saw that there were only 3 pages since my last visit in the old thread and thought '3 pages? For shame!' and then I saw that there was a new thread.

Cause you all really wanted to know that...and for some reason it deleted half of my MQs carried over from the last one...

SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!

OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!

I AM THE MASSIVEST STUPID PROCRASTINATOR IN THE UNIVERSE!

I had that stupid evaluation essay to do! And it was due today! And - and - and I can't even find anything about it on the website! OMG I never even looked at it! I have no idea what I am supposed to do!

Well done...don't worry, I'm just as bad...(well, maybe not QUITE. I at least know what my assigmnents are before I start them the day they're due...but I'm all out for summer so NA NA NA NA NA)

Guyyys, What goals did I set this year and how did I go about achieving them???

D: D: D:

This was due yesterday and I haven't got a single sentence to write! I didn't set any goals and I didn't achieve any goals! D:

*goes to bed instead of trying to come up with anything*

We-ell, you got your post count up a fair bit :naughty:

You could say how you've fundraised for Costa Rica. Ramble on about that for a few pages.

Well, I come back over 2 hours later and still none of you are up!

Silver, I just wanted to apologise to Dances for that whole cake discussion. I'll try and be more considerate in future...

Oh and honey joys are a delightfully sticky little treat, beloved of children's parties everywhere (but adults do enjoy them too). Basically you melt together some butter or marg, some sugar and some honey and then add that to cornflakes. Mix together, spoon into patty cases and bake. I'll try and find a pic....

Here you go.

ChristeningSavsbday014.jpg

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I was priding myself on not craving any...and then you had to post a picture...*cries cause we have no cornflakes*

Hidey-ho neighbor!

Umm... distant neighbor....

Okay... very VERY distant neighbor.

Well if the Adam and Eve theory is right than we're all related anyways

And as per tradition, Part 13 statistics:

1) Kelzy............................367 :winner_first_h4h:

2) Oakie Doke....................362 :winner_second_h4h:

3) silver............................179 :winner_third_h4h:

4) happikali.......................172

5) im_stuck_in_the_middle...152

6) SuperTwat.....................145

7) chickadee......................133

8) Tanya K........................100

9) englishrose.....................96

10) sweet-dreams................74

For sixth place I get 2 x :winner_third_h4h:

Woooot, then I should get 3 x :winner_third_h4h:!

Hey, ER, I just put some questions on your Hot Seat. Get to it!

Kelz, the recipe I did yesterday i was doing for the first time and I didn't actually get to eat any, so i can't tell you if it was good. On the plus side, the reason I didn't get to eat any is cos it got swooped on by everyone else and they all said it was good. So maybe that recipe will do to start? I'll pm it later tonight...

Thanks!

And here's the sesame street one.. It's Big Bird's Banana Bread (not cake).

*copies & pastes*

The recipe is from a 1970's Sesame Street Library book, Volume 14.

Here is what you will need:

3 peeled ripe bananas

3/4 cup honey

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1 big bowl

1 big wooden spoon

1 fork

1 bread pan (rub some cooking oil around the inside of it)

1 wire cooling rack

1 measuring cup

1 set of measuring of spoons

##################

Here's what you need a grown up to do:
:naughty:

1. Turn the oven on to 350(F) degrees.

2. Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a pan.

Here's what you do:

1. Put the peeled bananas in a bowl.

2. Mash up the bananas with the back of a fork.

3. Add the melted butter.

4. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour, 3/4 cup honey.

5. Stir everything in the bowl with the big spoon. Stir until everything is mixed together.

6. Pour the mix into the oiled bread pan.

7. Bake for 1 hour.

8. After 1 hour, put a toothpick in the bread. Is there some bread on the toothpick when you pull it out? If there is, let the bread cook for a little while longer. If there is no bread on the toothpick when you pull it out, the bread is done! Ask your grown up helper to take the bread out of the oven. They need to take the bread out of the pan and put it on the wire rack.

10. When the bread is cool, cut it up and share it with your neighbors! (AS IF..
:bleh:
)

Hey All!

Hi Suzanne. I read your thread earlier saying you were back. I didn't even know you'd gone. I just thought our paths hadn't crossed lately. Any word on the MFC theme song yet?

I've never once in my life gotten on the front page!

And omg, we're on a new thread before page 200? Why do we even need new threads?

Are these general goals or course specific goals?

If you didn't set any goals, that means presumably nobody asked to see them, so you can lie! And usually with this type of work, you get marked just as highly if you can show that you know why you didn't achieve a particular goal, as showing how you did achieve one.

*Note - writing "I didn't achieve anything because I couldn't drag myself away from the MFC" will probably not be viewed favourably*

What! But that's the truth :bleh:

*sigh* I don't know, I guess they have to be course specific.

"Write a paragraph or two (as if giving advice to a younger veterinary colleague) that demonstrates what you have learned about the process of successfully achieving goals while maintaining or juggling a life-work/study balance. (approx 800 words)"

:naughty:

G'morning/afternoon, all.

Damnit! 5 posts!

Most of them have milk solids, but there are dairy-free brands of it. Non-vegan cakes (which is the majority of cakes) would also be a no-no. It'll take time to work my way up to it.

Homemade cakes and stuff like that is easy to make vegan, but just the thought of like ... general cookies and snacks is :boxed::naughty:

1. To postwhore as often as possible.

2. To ramble on as often as possible.

:roftl: Achieved!

And omg, you know I was dying to have that viva la vida song? Pink totally sent it to me! She burnt a bunch of cds for me like a week ago, so before I even became addicted to it, and I was playing one today and was just like :jawdrop::groovy:

Also, I had a fantastic adventure today. I hate driving home in my break just to drive back for a 30 min shift in the afternoon so I decided to stay and explore around Halls Head/Mandurah. Of course, it was horrific weather today, but it stopped raining occasionally, and I discovered lots of exciting things :biggrin2: most notably: a run down theme park :biggrin2:
