Can I just say how much fun this is? (Yes, I know, I'm easily amused:mf_rosetinted:)

Hubby and i have a game where we just play the intro of old songs from the 80's and we have to guess the song and artist. And I love having the hippo of memory stir in the mud of my mind (a not-quite Pratchett quote).

"Coffee" by Supersister, another one from my collection of assorted Eurotrash disco. 'I like my men like I like my coffee, hot strong and sweet like toffee... but never give me instant 'cause baby he's too quick'. It's some of the most kitsch sh!t ever written. :naughty:

I can't believe it took 3 women to sing it!

Did your telepathic link notice the sudden disconnection just now when I fell asleep in front of the pc? I've been up till around 1:30am the last 3 or 4 nights in a row, but unlike some of the rest of you, I've still had to get up at a decent hour in the morning to take care of my family. Sooo, on that note, I really need to go to bed and will say good night.

And I'm gonna presume that i've stumped everyone with the last lot of lyrics and so will try some more...

Hahahahahaha! Yeah, I noticed :naughty: I CAN'T go to sleep before 3/4 no matter what time I have to get up *slaps stupid body clock*

I have no idea with any of them. I know barely any songs, that Love Shack one was a fluke. :naughty:

Mika has a weird accent, doesn't he? :naughty:

Thanks for telling us, that was awesome! The new website sounds like it's going to be really cool.

Oh right! That's what I really came in here to say!

Is it just me or does he suddenly pronounce his "owe" sounds fully Australian-like? I know he says he picks up on accents around him, so which Australian has he been hanging around with recently?? *looks around suspiciously*

Ha! found you (:sneaky2: sneaking off and hiding on a new thread)

In other news I've decided that the best way for me to lose weight is to become a vegetarian (which is something I've wanted to do for years anyway)

Um .. I've been vegetarian for years and I wouldn't exactly describe myself as slim

Been there ... done that :naughty:

I hate the quadratic formula.

Oh, SD, I wish i could do your maths for you. I loved quadratic equations when I was at school.... Actually, you wouldn't want me to do your maths for you. I remember not a thing about them (except that I loved them) and you would fail.

VIDEO ON MIKASOUNDS! VIDEO ON MIKASOUNDS!

AMAZING VIDEO ON MIKASOUNDS!

Where's the link darling? Gosh, do I have to do everything myself?!

A Pratchett fan! *huggles OKD* You're only the second one I've found on here. I keep going to use Pratchett quotes but was sure no-one would get what I was talking about.

My favourite author. He taught me all I know about drop bears:wink2:

Yay!!! Another Pratchett fan! *huggles Silver* And you make number three.

Ah, yes, drop bears. I particularly loved the Ocker slang Rincewind encounters when he runs into Clancy and his gang and all the different ways you can describe vomiting.

Do you ladies know about L-space and the annotated Pratchett files?

Hey girls!

Have just rescued Mackenzie after she sprayed perfume in her eye (such a drama queen!) and now she is curled up on my lap making it extremely hard for me to type!

How's this- I had someone from 92.9 (our Austereo radio station) ring me cause I had made a couple of requests and he wanted me to intro some songs (embarassing cause I sounded dumb) anyway we got talking about Mika and he was saying not many people were requesting it (I put it down to the fact that they haven't actually played it really for anyone to even know about it!) but yeah, the dj's over here are a bit so-so about it, which really sucks......

It would also help if the shops actually got copies in of it so people could buy it.....

Aww I hope she's okay.

HAHA.... Jols, you are such a star.:punk:

I officially dub thee Aussie Mikamites Media Personality.

I hate the quadratic formula.

The what? No... don't answer. I really don't care. :roftl: Maths sucks.

Hey Teegs.

Almost missed your MQ!

You missed my MQ???

Slackerrrrgh...

Eh, who else is gonna do it around here?

Yeah, I did click on a more recent related video after the mmmbop, and changed my mind. Well, they still look like girls ten years ago, but they don't look like girls now

An excellent point...

And they def don't look like girls now...

I reckon they're jam packed full of awesome! :das:

Yeah, I was just watching this:

cos Bono's in it..

Yayness...

Oh, and I just made Honey-Joys.. *licks lips*

And ate 4 of them already.........

Mmmmm... yummy...

I ran out of time to check them and it wasn't a priority today. Sanity did still have some singles on the wall, but limited range.

I want to be a mod for the perks, without the responsibilty!

I'd check them out, just in case... they sell singles in Big W and Kmart... but only top 20... maybe in Virgin too...

And so do I...

Thanks!

And here's the sesame street one.. It's Big Bird's Banana Bread (not cake).

*copies & pastes*

The recipe is from a 1970's Sesame Street Library book, Volume 14.

Here is what you will need:

3 peeled ripe bananas

3/4 cup honey

1/4 cup melted butter

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1 big bowl

1 big wooden spoon

1 fork

1 bread pan (rub some cooking oil around the inside of it)

1 wire cooling rack

1 measuring cup

1 set of measuring of spoons

##################

Here's what you need a grown up to do:

1. Turn the oven on to 350(F) degrees.

2. Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a pan.

Here's what you do:

1. Put the peeled bananas in a bowl.

2. Mash up the bananas with the back of a fork.

3. Add the melted butter.

4. Add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda, 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour, 3/4 cup honey.

5. Stir everything in the bowl with the big spoon. Stir until everything is mixed together.

6. Pour the mix into the oiled bread pan.

7. Bake for 1 hour.

8. After 1 hour, put a toothpick in the bread. Is there some bread on the toothpick when you pull it out? If there is, let the bread cook for a little while longer. If there is no bread on the toothpick when you pull it out, the bread is done! Ask your grown up helper to take the bread out of the oven. They need to take the bread out of the pan and put it on the wire rack.

10. When the bread is cool, cut it up and share it with your neighbors! (AS IF..
:bleh:
)

I totally remember that book!!! I remember that!!!

Actually... I remember when Bert and Ernie were telling a story and Bert cross dressed and was tied to the railway tracks :das:

OMG!!!!

I totally know what you are talking about!!

omg I wonder where all of mine have gotten to. :(

*wishes for them to magicallly appear*

We had to share ours... they were split up between the three kids...

I still have most of my set!!

I don't think we had a full set to begin with...

An 18 year old female homosexual who can't spell.

I'm gonna say that they won't activate them...

Come on, it's 'Crying at the Discotheque' by Alcazar, I literally gave the title away.

I got it... and it's in my head...

VIDEO ON MIKASOUNDS! VIDEO ON MIKASOUNDS!
