Oh...I CAN SOOOOO PICTURE IT! All these shots from "over the shoulder" into the mirror, and close up-s, and his dramatic way of dancing, and the set must be brilliant with a typical teenage-like Mikaish bedroom. Not so full of toys as HE, though, but more simple yet sophisticated, with a golden light coming through the windows, curtains flowing nicely, a colorful lebanese-like carpet, and a messed-up bed, and a chair staying there not right a bit out from under the desk, on which there will be all these books and sheets of paper, and on the walls there will be some framed pictures/drawings, and the color of it will be either a mild golden yellow with gentle highlights of green and blue, and there will be a clock on the desk aswell, and there will be this smell in the air of dust and a tacky perfume and the mirror, oh the mirror, a wooden-framed one! As long as the set is supposed to be as small as a room, the details are a HUUUGE thing apart from the protagonist. They're the spices of a movie/video. Evrything in that room has to share that vibe of freedom and excitement even if it's a closed space, you know. Just watch an ordinary movie and you'll see that nice, happy moments of it take place during day time and crimes/fights, take place either at night or in really dark places. It is the job of the Art Director to make the scenes fit with the sets, in order to give that scary/enjoyable feeling of a movie. If you've seen "Benjamin Button", there is the colors scheme that remains on your retina after you leave the cinema: all those shades of beige makes the movie look oldish in what time-placing is concerned. "Slumdog Millionaire" all those vibrant colors of India. Latika's yellow scarf/dress pointed out that she was a free-minded girl stuck in the circumstances of her hard living. All those inclined shots also gave the movie that certain motion that makes unforgettable an Oscar-worthy. "Star trek" mainly white with highlights of red, blue, yellow, that give tthat certain feeling of the raw future image. the horror movies "Saw" are all set in this horrible places very dark that make you want to get away as soon as possible.
