Léna Machu Posted August 6, 2015 Share Posted August 6, 2015 I was there I loved Mika's outfits! Classy jacket and white jeans, he was gorgeous with his smily face. It was a wonderful sunny day. We arrived early (too early) but that brought us a picture on "Toerisme Mol" hahaha. We jumped a while between backstage and the queue at the entrance but Mika arrived just when we were about to come in so ... we missed him. He told Sophie that he'd come out after the show but after having had a look out and having seen the big big crowd, he stepped into the car and went away in Brussels' direction. We spent the whole day singing, laughing, jumping and dancing what was great! Rehearsals were nice! We watched Mika working relax with a smily face. The funny moment of the day was when Christoff forgot Talk about you's lyrics. Thanks a lot to Jolien who gave them the booklet of No Place In Heaven what saved them ^^ That was a nice nice day with Mikafriends and Mika. Saw some pictures with Mika in the front and myself as a tiny person in the background, really happy with those pics! There are some fans (most with a crown) on the picture I attached to this post... (you can spot me just above the performers (Gers Pardoel a Dutch singer) left foot). I'll try to upload some of the pics I made during the rehearsal and the tv-recordings. There isn't much else to post about, cause Mika sang only two songs ("Talk about you" in a duet with a Belgian singer and "Staring at the sun") and Léna already posted some info. The only nice thing to mention might be that during the rehearsals Mika was wondering how he would get into the front when the dancers were on stage: he made a 'zig zag' motion with his hands and his body language gave away that he thought that he had to squeeze himself through the dancers. After the producer explained that he had to walk to the end of the stage (catwalk) just before the dancers did, he tried that concept during the next rehearsal... the only problem was that he forgot the exact moment and had to run in panic to make it in time (it looked really funny to me). IngievV Posted August 6, 2015 Share Posted August 6, 2015 Okay, so short report: I had a great day. The weather was lovely and the people were great too. So thanks girls for the nice day! I brought my friend who apparently looks like Mika as some people even ran to get their camera just in case it was really him. He was super flattered. When we were allowed to go in, there was a massive run to the stage but I think all of us managed to get good spots. Mika was rehearsing at that point and turned around. His face lit up when he saw the people he recognised so he was happy to see us there. During rehearsals they handed out boards on which you could write. I wrote: Mika I <3 you more than Unicorns with a fabulous drawing of a unicorn. He saw it, read it and pulled a face then laughed so that was funny. After his rehearsals we spent the time chatting and having fun. They handed out frisbees and because my friend was so tall, he caught all of those which were thrown our way so we have a life-supply of frisbees. The other artists were good. I really enjoyed the show and the presenter was very funny. After the show we struggled to get through the crowd (having been there so early meant I did not realise how crowded it really was) to the backstage, to find Mika attempting to come out, but there were way too many people and it would have been way too dangerous for him and his (and our) safety is the main priority. By this point I was so hungry too that my main priority was finding some chicken mcnuggets. Anyway, it was a lovely day filled with old friends and new plus I got to practise my French! Statue_of_Liberty Posted August 6, 2015 Share Posted August 6, 2015 (edited) I'm so easy to get! After Lokeren I moaned a lot and was worried I wouldn't want to travel anymore. Well, now he's got me back. I was very lucky because I decided to leave my good spot after the rehearsal to catch him at the backstage exit. And all it took was his warm 'Hi, how are you?' to get me back in full fangurl-mode. Since I had left my spot in the audience I witnessed his first performance staring at a white wall and the second standing around somewhere near the backstage exit. But I don't mind, I got more than I could have asked for! During rehearsals no one cared if I used my system camera so I did that and took some nice pictures. After a while my memory card was full so I had to switch and use the normal camera.
