Jazz Concert grows in stature every year – more musicians,

more styles, and better atmosphere – driven forward

by the insuperable figure of Mr McAllister, who

organises the whole event, leads two or three groups, and fills in

on any instrument you can think of. For the two opening numbers

he conducted an enlarged Big Band, mastering the different styles

of the ‘St. Louis Blues March’ (featuring a splendid march-rhythm

drum solo from Ben Irving) and of the rocky ‘My Life’. On the latter

the band was so loud that even Mica Penniman’s huge singing

voice was drowned out!

:naughty::lmao: hahaha!

Dryden’s excelled in running, coming third in the Bringsty

Relay and eighth and ninth in the tow path, whilst reaching the

final stages of various other house sporting competitions. We

produced a superb house song which thanks to Mica’s

inspired direction ensured that we were all ‘too sexy’, manag-

ing to choreograph over thirty of us at once whilst the costume

choices of stockings and short skirts for the girls only

increased the audience’s attention! The house cake sale was

a brilliant success. It sold out in under half an hour and the

offers of help and the proliferation of cakes baked made all the

organisation worth it, and definitely proved that Dryden’s

house spirit does exist!

:roftl::roftl: "too sexy!"

I know! I really don't think that Mika was as hated as he says he was. :wink2::naughty:

I think it was only when he was younger.

When he was 18, he was really cute and talented. People could have been jealous but i think very few of them could have hated Mica!!!

How could they hate him?! I don't understand.

When he was 17, i was 18. My friends and i would have fantasized about him and have had a lot of fun inventing stories with him. :roll1:

when he was 18, it was my 15th birthday...(feb 2002)...I would have loved him but I'd have to start a competition with all the girls and boys from 8th,9th and 10th to get to him...In my school, cute senior boys had the eyes of the WHOLE school on them...

It took me long, but I got the cd! :biggrin2:

For those of you interested, this is the download link for the MP3 (the part where Mika sings, the whole opera would be too much), and I also put a link with the lyrics (Mika is the boy!). I hope this is ok, it's not like the demo-mp3 is it? Well, if I'm not allowed to do this, then I will hear from you mods and I will take it off.

The MP3 :

Everybody remembers that. :wub2:

When I was 18, i decided to do my last year in a Lycée again (i wasn't ready to go to University) and i decided to go to another school and what a year!

I was new and my classroom was full of beautiful, nice, funny and intelligent guys. Unbelievable!!! And they took care of me. We were just friends. It was so cool!

It was funny because later when i showed the picture of my classmates to my friends, they were :shocked: and then everytime i talked to a beautiful guy, my friends asked me if he were in my classroom! :roftl:

He said in an interview that it happened up until the age of 18.

I think that if I were to have gone to school with him, even as children, I would've found him interesting and would've liked him, then of course I would've been in absolute love as a teenager. :naughty:
