Here in Portugal, both KA and EMD didn't have promotion AT ALL, they never played at any radio, and on TV I don't think I ever heard them either. But the weird thing is, on facebook people keep sharing the videos! Especially EMD, it's something I had never seen with any other Mika video. And during the gig in Coimbra, where 80% of the audience was not composed by Mika fans, people went crazy with KA and even sang along!

yes, I understood that! I'm just saying that, even for some us (fans) it sounded like playback, so...

The thing is...I know Mika very well (his work, that is) and to me it sounded playback in some parts, not just the backing vocals. It can be just an impression, but that's what it looked like... (and I'm not the only one thinking the same, so I'm probably not nuts) Anyway, I loved seeing him on stage, he looked happy and I'm still very proud of him! About the dance...it seemed an NRJ thing, not exactly 100% Mika (especially with the dancers there) OMG the lady who sang with Seal was SO out of tune at some parts!!! But he was great, I agree! Oooh...maybe Mylene Farmer, yes! I remember noticing it, but there were so many performances that I couldn't remember who it was!

Yes, shocking! There was at least a singer (can't remember her name, tho) who seemed to be performing 100% in playback, but others like Seal, for example, sang live.

Thanks everyone for the pics and videos! I must say it was really nice to watch the live stream and comment with everyone on twitter I missed those virtual parties! I'm really proud of Mika, if with ONE song he wins a "best male artist" award, imagine what it will be with the whole album! Congrats, boss! As for the performance...well...it was weird seeing all those dancers on stage and even more seeing Mika dancing! (he did great anyway! lol) But the worst thing for me was the playback (or the partial playback, don't know). It sounded weird.

Haha Maybe... I think Jeff's version is more..."painful" (does that make sense?) His voice, the pauses he makes, his breathing, all of that makes his version more emotional, IMHO. But hey, I've never heard Rufus singing it live (yes, the bastard didn't sing it when I went to see him! )
