  1. You need to book in advance to go from Toronto to Montreal. You don't need to book to go from Oakville to Toronto. It's just a local commuter train for people who travel from Oakville to Toronto all the time for work, etc. It can get crowded but there are no reserved seats. You can't book a place on it. Here is the schedule to get from Oakville (13) to Toronto Union (2). Your family in Oakville will be able to help you with this part http://www.gotransit.com/publicroot/en/schedules/pubsched.aspx?table=01&direction=0&day=1&page=1&new=

  2. It turns out flights are $187 so I am going to fly instead of taking the train. It's a small airport right in the centre of Toronto so you would just have to take a local train to Toronto or get someone to drop you off at the terminal.

  3. You know what, just look for trains from Toronto (Union) to Montreal (Central Station). You can get to Toronto Union on a separate train and you don't need to book in advance. It's about $155 for a return ticket Toronto to Montreal at the moment. You want to pick a train that goes direct (not via Ottawa). The less "total travel time" the better, it means you will get there without stops and detours. The "economy - special fare" is the best rate I think.

  4. Ha, I wanted something to make us smile :wink2:

  5. Ah good, hope it works out well!

  6. Oh sorry I just saw your message now but I guess we are talking about it already in the thread. :)

  7. Happy Birthday!! I hope you are keeping well. :flowers2:

  8. Heya, we only have one thread per artist and you're already using the Lady Gaga thread, correct?

  9. Thanks Holly. You've always been very supportive and it's much appreciated :biggrin2:

  10. Hiya, I will ask Guylaine to help you since she can speak to you in French and you might find that easier. Have a good day too :bye:

  11. Yes of course it's reciprocal!! :huglove: I don't know if or when I'll get to Europe again but it would be great to meet you. I am still wary about going to France for a gig but I've got a couple of good friends in/around Paris so it might happen :wink2: Would you ever go to the UK? Are you right in Lille so you can take the Eurostar?

    Do you use Twitter much?

  12. Oh hiya, sorry I didn't see your post yesterday. I'm just discussing something on a similar topic with the other mods so I'll let you know soon. :thumb_yello:

  13. Some things are really expensive, like cars and quality appliances. Other things that involve local labour are cheap like produce (they can grow everything in SA) or getting someone to mow your lawn. Housing wasn't bad in Johannesburg but I guess it varies around the country. You're not moving there are you?

  14. I live in Toronto. How about you? Does Mika ever do gigs in your hometown?

  15. Hiya, I'm good how about you? :bye:

  16. Hiya, if you want to send Mika a gift you can send it to his management's office (I would use the London address):

They will make sure he gets everything.

If you get a chance to go to one of the concerts you may want to wait to give it to him then because he often signs autographs after gigs. It's not guaranteed but there is a chance.

  17. Sorry I couldn't do it earlier, was having trouble getting online.

  18. I meant to tell you about the Mika/the Y&R thing. One of the characters said they saw Katy Perry open for Mika, which would have been a reference to one gig they did in LA in March 2007. There were only 300 people at that show so I think one of the writers must have been at the gig because it was such a strange thing to say :lmfao:

  19. I hadn't been reading any spoilers or anything. I think this season wasn't as interesting as some of the others and I would forget to watch an episode for days! It's funny when I found out Dex and Deb were married IRL I just kept thinking how weird it was that they were brother and sister on the show and now that they are pairing them on the show I just keep thinking about how awkward it must be because they are divorced IRL :aah:

Why does no one talk on the Dexter thread? :lmfao:

  20. I just watched it now!! I really didn't see that coming :lmfao: Not really digging the incest thing

  21. I was looking at the Who's Online and saw someone reading this and thought of you. You see, it was forever thus on MFC, not a new trend :wink2:
