  1. ah yes, my post was deleted due to the mfc crash... well, the wouter hamel gig in munich last week was fab! i just uploaded my photos, you can find them here: http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/mellody76/Wouter%20Hamel/
  2. hmm, i thought we only see the back of the screen, a dark laptop with the apple logo.
  3. that way he's just encouraging fans to send him stuff to his home. oh well, the poor boy must suffer from presents deprivation, as he hasn't been touring for ages.
  4. now that would be a nice rainbow effect! maybe it'd work by spraying it together with coloured powder... i'm sure the security guys at the stage would be thrilled by that idea! edit: thinking more closely, spraying glitter hairspray in the air would indeed look great, with the small glitter particles falling down like sparkling raindrops. on the negative side, the smell of glitter hairspray isn't that great. we wouldn't want mika fleeing off stage to escape it!
  5. i have a feeling that the new theme might have something to do with tribal stuff, like african masks and/or native american feather stuff etc. but you're right, so much has been done already, it wouldn't be special if we just repeated sth old or did something just for the sake of it if we don't have a fab idea. we could spray mosquito repellant in the air all at once.
  6. just bought tickets for mariposa & myself. we're coming from munich by car (arriving some time in the afternoon i guess...), and then on to vigevano.
  7. i don't think it's that strange if he premiers the new songs there... seems like he has a special relation to those circus events, and they also wrote that he'll set up a unique club show for this. it's a small special stage within a big event, so lots more people can watch than if he performed at the circus venue ... i'd say it's a perfect setting to present new songs. (you hear me, mika?! )
  8. i just booked my flight. now i wonder if this will really be the first gig where he'll present his new songs. IF there are any before that, i have a feeling that they'll be in france, and i don't wanna go there - so i guess london isn't such a bad choice. actually i wanted to wait a while to see if there's anything else announced (which probably i couldn't afford now anymore) - but i waited for a week now, and flights are getting more and more expensive, so i decided to book before they get too expensive. looking forward to see you all there!!
  9. entered. winning would give me a reason to go, i still haven't decided yet! btw, thanx for posting those fb news on mfc, i have trouble accessing fb from my phone, so i love it that the important news are posted here as well!
  10. not in summer though, because then your country is busy invading germany with caravans.
  11. exactly my thoughts. if i was rich, i wouldn't hesitate a second... but in fact, i'm broke and will probably have to decide between switzerland & italy on the one hand, and london on the other (though, who knows what other festivals/gigs will still be announced!). i'd definitely choose the former in this case, although i also really really wanna go to a gig together with statue, who doesn't have time end of july. arrrgh!! i've also had a look at those vip tickets... they have an extra entry lane, which sounds good - but if they don't open earlier or at least at the same time as the normal entrance starts, the money would be wasted. btw, did you notice the comment "album, out later this year"? so, does "later" mean later from now on, or later from the festival date on?
  12. getting there by train isn't the problem... don't think queuing early is necessary for this one. but if you wanna be in vigevano the next day before 11am,you'll need a car.
  13. lol, i already joked with graciosa that we should all dress as ghosts, by hiding under mosquito nets.
  14. oh believe me, people do that in europe! for teen stars it's totally common. i'm glad that mika isn't justin bieber!
  15. i know what you both mean, but when i made my comparison, i had smaller gigs in mind, not the huge choreographed ones. i don't know how many people were at the mod club, but i'd guess it's nothing you could compare to arena shows. if you play in a big arena with thousands of people, there needs to be some "circus", so also those far in the back can enjoy the show, because they have no chance of "connecting" to mika during the gig, as they cannot see his facial expressions etc.. or only on screens, which isn't quite the same. anyway, i'm talking about gigs like some of the small ones in 2009 and 2010... the radio gig in munich, the concerts in stuttgart and helsinki. those times when mika breaks out of his usual rehearsed show, jokes with the crowd etc. - THAT is what i mean. i wouldn't trade one of those shows for the "old times". i definitely would trade something like pdp though!
  16. interesting, in german we call the water inside the coconut coconut milk, though it really looks like water. it's drinkable, though i never had more than half a glass at once. maybe the side effects only appear if the coconut is foul, or if it has been standing in the heat too long?
  17. not going to this one, but it's lovely to see rsvp lists for upcoming gigs again.
  18. who knows, maybe you'll have to drink a pint of coconut water to understand it. i don't get it either, but uh, whatever.
  19. besides, mika tweeted: in sunny London working on a Pharrell track, which is making me smile, then working with Greg Wells tomorrow, in London for the first time have really enjoyed recording a lot of this record in London, totally different feel to LA. much happier working atmosphere & less lonely good to hear from him - that's much better news than the facebook ones.
  20. you're right, but i wonder what stopped them from doing that today. probably it's this typical "keep up the suspense" thing that they have on all of those stupid tv casting shows - one reason why i don't watch those! if they hadn't posted anything about "exciting news", or if they had just written a list of the dates we already know, with an info like "we confirm that mika is going to play at those", i wouldn't have complained. but the way they do it just sucks.
  21. new on facebook: "There have been lots of rumours flying around about shows, the album and other things going on with Mika this year. The best place to hear about all this and more is here on Mika's official Facebook page! We have many more announcements and a couple of competitions to come this week and over the next month, so stay tuned..." LOOOOL! looking forward to the competition though. (they still didn't give away the fab eye ball shirts in a competition yet, or did they? )
  22. lol, you could think that it was a private gig for martin. it makes me a bit nostalgic to watch this old video, which reminds me of the early 2007 gigs... ... but on the other hand, i find it amazing how much better his performances are now! i already found him fantastic when he used to perform with his back to the crowd, but since he gave that up and now that he has a lot of performing practice, he's just unbeatable!
  23. thanks christine for the explanations, i had no idea this morning what he meant! never heard of the song, and google's pallet translation made no sense either. i actually thought of owen pallet for a moment too. let's say it doesn't make it easier to stuff your thoughts into 140 characters if you can't spell and most of your followers aren't native speakers of your language.
