  1. wherever the drag queens get their outfits from, i'd guess? but yeah, i could as well imagine that his mum made it.
  2. since it was a motto party, i see it as a carnival outfit, and as such i find it funny. if he seriously wears such stuff for going out, like, usually, that's a different story though... but who knows, after all he often says in interviews that he has a lot of secrets... see my post on the previous page.
  3. no, it just means that it's very tight... google catsuit, then you'll know what i mean. guess that doesn't make it better than an animal costume though, does it? anyway, somehow i'd love to see a pic of mika in that outfit. he's neither asian nor in his mid-thirties though. hey, was just thinking, i could provide at least one of mika's requirements, i'm in my mid-thirties, lol! y'know, job descriptions always just describe the ideal candidate, you don't necessarily have to fulfil ALL of them to get the job. is that so? i never was a very disciplined person, but from what i know, i can't agree with mika there. if i bring up the discipline to do something i hate, just because it has to be done or someone wants me to do it, it doesn't make me feel better at all. of course it's true that you feel better if you have the discipline to achieve your own goals, but that doesn't mean for me that discipline as such makes you feel better about yourself.
  4. thanx for that, i should've tried an english-english dictionary instead of english-german, you're right, this explains it a lot better. so i guess it's like i thought from the context, kind as part of your personality, nice as just a superficial behaviour. we don't have different words for that in german, so no surprise that the dictionary couldn't help me.
  5. loved reading the original, and now i also don't have the feeling anymore that he was drunk while writing this... but just his adorable self. btw, i noticed that there were some of his usual spelling mistakes in that article, didn't notice those in the other original texts - maybe his proofreader was on holiday? anyway, i love it, cause it's so typical for him. so, that kind vs. nice thing, what exactly does it mean? kind isn't the same as polite, which was translated before, is it? does it mean, being kind as a part of your personality, vs. being nice as a mask you put on? it's hard for me to understand the difference between those two words, since the german translation doesn't really make a difference.
  6. well, i like his being polite instead of nice resolution - and i wouldn't mind having a footman either, my resolution should rather be, earn enough money so i can afford one! which would get me to the "work more" resolution... but i don't like that one. (well, not for me... for mika it's ok if he wants that... might finish his album sooner then. )
  7. thanx nezza and christine! i wonder if he was drunk when he wrote this. the bit about his start into 2011 surely can't be true, we know by know that he writes those articles 1-2 months before they are released. but it indeed might have happened to him at some point of his life of course. as always, can't wait to read the original version
  8. aww! that gucci handbag on the table isn't his i hope?! nice costume! lollipopgirl-skirt! t4p!
  9. thanx for posting and translating, fab interview!
  10. i agree with him there... an extremely goodlooking guy who won't cheat on you or run away or anything like that? perfect! the problem is just that i like it warm in my flat, so wax mika wouldn't last long with me. another way of "running away" - dammit! btw, in that english interview when you see both mikas from the side, i really think the wax mika nose looks bigger than real mika's ... weird though if they made a 3d scan of him. maybe he moved during the scan.
  11. wow, the wax statue really turned out well, it looks like his twin! and i love the feathers. marion, happy that you managed to get inside in the end. thanx everyone for reports+pix+vids!
  12. yeah, it's always a question of what you gain and what you risk by protesting. i was just thinking when i read that, that during the 3rd Reich in germany, i probably also wouldn't have protested, as it'd have cost me my life. those who did protest back then, like sophie scholl, are heroes now and have a place in the history books, because there were only few who dared to protest against the nazis. but it cost them their lifes. they did set a sign, but in the end it took several armies to stop the nazis. it's shocking to think that if enough people had protested early enough, it wouldn't even have come that far. but then, anyone who has read the book "the wave" by morton rhue knows that it isn't really that surprising that most people didn't protest... (btw, interesting read, i can highly recommend it ) i guess the reasons why people do or don't protest, and in what situations, can fill several psychology books.
  13. i guess people not protesting against bad politics is a general thing in the western countries, not just in italy. i don't know what exactly the problem in italy is for the students, but fact is, most of us have a good life - we might not be super happy about everything the politicians do, but as long as it doesn't bother us too much personally and directly, we don't feel the need to do anything about it. the second problem of course is, that if anything bad happens or is decided by the politicians, the responsible people try to keep it quiet. because a huge protest can only be organized if the topic is all over the news... so they try to avoid that. but when it happens, you'll get more people interested who might not be directly affected but support the topic and then take part in the protests. if something is a big topic in the media, you kinda are forced to have an opinion on it, because it's discussed everywhere. just it takes a LOT of energy by a group of people to start this... and yeah, what's really worth investing this time and energy, when you generelly enjoy a good life, like most of us do? in germany, there were/are 2 big protests recently, that did get a lot of media attention. one is about the transport of nuclear waste, which happens every few months or so. but this time the protests were a lot more, because the gouvernment decided to keep the nuclear power plants in germany running for a longer time. but no one really knows what will happen with the nuclear waste in the long term. and the second reason for protests is the rebuilding of the stuttgart central station - they're cropping lots of trees and basically are changing the way the heart of the city looks, that's why many locals are protesting against it. the reason why this became such a huge topic in the media all over germany is mainly that the police acted too violently against the protestants, so over 100 people got hurt, also some children. i guess this also was the only reason why the responsible people agreed to talk with the protestants to try and find a compromise. looks now like they won't find one, but well, the protests keep going on... i must admit that i've never been to a demonstration in my life. although i do support the protestants in these 2 cases. but the problem with protests for me is, that if you just have a normal demonstration, it won't change a thing. if you want to change something, you have to do something extraordinary... and this can get you in a lot of trouble, because it's often illegal - like occupying buildings, for example. getting arrested for doing something like that would hurt me a lot more than the politician's decisions. anyway, can't wait to read mika's opinion about it!
  14. i've seen a white shirt like that today on an H&M advert poster. loved his jackets of the 2007 tour. ESPECIALLY the yellow one and this one. the one i liked least of the 2007 tour jackets was this one... but for a stage outfit it's ok.
  15. MikwaX or wasn't there an evil twin brother of mika? what was his name?
  16. i'd say that depends on what outfit he wears in the vlog. a blog would be safer for him.
  17. yup. like i said, apart from the holes i like it too.
  18. just remembered something else, but can't find a pic now... that blue moth-eaten shirt. i like the shirt and the colour, but not the moth holes.
  19. i'm just thinking that when i see him live, i'm so busy admiring him that i probably wouldn't even notice if he wore anything hideous! on the pix+vids i notice though. btw, i'm still not a big fan of the red striped shirt with the tail. kinda got used to it because he wore it so often, but it's definitely not my fave piece of mika clothing.
  20. i should've known those birds were an expensive designer shirt, it's like the sunglasses he wore in ibiza (pic has been posted a few pages earlier), they looked like cheap children's sunglasses, but in fact they're ray bans! the journalist who wrote about the gig said the same in his article. i love this outfit, and if it's just because it's what he wore when i've seen him live for the very first time. actually i don't mind the bright colour mix that much, if he wears different items of clothing in those colours (like the orange jacket + green tie) - i just don't like it if it's all in one piece of clothing. dunno why.
  21. yes, please let the press take a few pix of it first! and let's hope it's not that ugly that it'd give the fan who steals it nightmares! i'm really curious bout that wax figure - there are wax figures that look totally awful and scary, but there are some really good ones too. yup, something like that.
