  1. not working, despite refreshing the site several times. but thanks anyway for posting, will try again later. thanx also for the report ce_mika! love it!
  2. ah anthusa, only just read that you are world rep for turkey now, happy to hear that! and welcome to the world reps team!
  3. i am surprised, because kick ass wasn't very popular in germany! this is fantastic, you can find a lot more videos of people dancing to kick ass in all sorts of places, if you search for "ruf clubdance 2010"! i especially like this one, it shows many people in many different places in one video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0CIxkv08tc&feature=related thanx for the link dermoment!
  4. i doubt that this really stopped anyone from getting tickets for his tour. the fans would go anyway, maybe hoping he'd recover til then. and many of the not-so-big-fans wouldn't have seen the press conference. like me. i haven't seen it. but if i had lived in/near london, i'd have bought a ticket too.
  5. yup it was mad. took me 4 hours of refreshing different ticket websites to get that ticket. because the sites either didn't open at all or crashed at some point during the order process. i even read somewhere that it was a bigger run on those take that tickets than it had been for the michael jackson this is it tour!
  6. i'm not in the top 20 anymore, and i also decided not to tell my points anymore til this is finished, as people will just try to get more points than me if they know. i'll only say that it's more than 100.000. :wink2:

  7. ah, found it. i knew there was a thread about take that somewhere, but it's hard to find because the forum doesn't accept "take" or "that" as search words! so, who is going to see them on their stadium tour next year? i'm definitely going to munich, got a ticket for one of the wembley dates, and wanted to buy one for sunderland (opening night) too but failed. don't know yet if i can go to the uk, depends on several things... but i thought if i don't buy tickets now, the decision is already made. i'm sure i'll find someone who wants them if it turns out i can't go.
  8. you're right, but the other problem is, the better you know yourself, the more you expect - and the harder it gets to find a guy who meets your expectations. and it's the same for guys, so... well, it doesn't get easier over the years. whereas when you're together from a younger age, you can "grow" together, if you know what i mean. everything has its good and bad sides. well let's say i needed some distraction after the relationship ended. a LOT of distraction.
  9. not for the last year or so. true, but my post was about what southeast said, that EVERYONE can read this forum. so for example a friend/colleague of the husband, who'd tell him. though i guess that's very unlikely. like i said before, if the husbands stalks his wife here and she posts here that she'd leave him for mika, i think it can't hurt if it comes out, so they can talk about it.
  10. the grass is always greener on the other side... i wish i had found the man of my dreams already. but then, i'm also glad that in my 20s i did a lot of partying and learned a lot about guys - if i had already been married back then, i might not have the strength now to go through hard times in a (long) relationship, because i wouldn't have known how hard it is to find true love, and would've believed that i'd find another, "better" guy.
  11. i was just referring to southeast's post, not to you... like i said, i haven't read much of this thread, actually just the first few posts, so i have no idea what you've written. just meant that it's everyone's own responsibility what they write. and in case someone posted without thinking about possible consequences first, southeast's post should have reminded them, without the mods having to take action by moving the thread.
  12. i haven't read much of the thread, so i don't know what they write - but unless they have a pic of themselves in their signature/avatar, it's not very likely that anyone would recognize them. in any case, i guess people who are married are old enough to know what they're doing, and if they "get caught", they'll learn from it. i don't think one should protect people from themselves, because that means they'll never learn. anyway, maybe your post makes some people think, so they can edit their post(s) if they realize that it might be a danger.
  13. i'd say if someone posts here that they'd leave their husband for mika, and the husband stalks her here and finds her post, it IS time to talk - why hide that fact in the members only section?!
  14. wow, i never saw this thread! i'm single, so of course i'd go for it. apart from that, my answer would be, it depends on my partner. if i truly love him, and he loves me too, i wouldn't leave him for anyone in the world. not even be tempted. true love is too hard to find to throw it away that easily. ... ok, wait, let me rephrase that - it would be enough if i loved my partner, and thought he loved me too. i wouldn't have left my ex for mika. but my ex left me, so let's face it, i'd be totally screwed if i had gotten the chance but said no to mika because of such a guy!
  15. he didn't always do it since then, but in cattolica he did it too, really beautiful. thanx everyone for the reports/pix/videos!
  16. i also nominated him, and kick ass. and posted the link on the german forum, hope they'll help us with this. please also vote for me once per day, it'd be nice to have a mika fan amongst the top 10 of "europe's greatest fans". it runs until friday. http://www.swift-fanaward.com/en/vote/profile-vote/detailv/mellody/all/0/
  17. yes, correct. thanx. wow, i only just noticed that the german mika fan club is also on the voting for best fansite! and has a screenshot and already 60 votes... i wonder who put it there, was it someone of you? and also fab that a mika site is on no.1! good promo for him.
  18. thank you. you can vote once per day. well, the site asks you to register with your e-mail-address, then you have to click the confirmation link in the e-mail (they're also sending you the password for future log-ins with that mail ), and then you have 10 votes per day, which you can use for 10 different people. so in case you find any other mika fans on there, please vote for them too! i have 7 votes so far, and am NOT in the top 10 yet (that's what the site tells me when i log in). those fans who get to the top 10 will be featured on the site (that's why i want a mika fan to be in there), and a jury then chooses the first place who'll win a trip to the mtv awards in madrid. i doubt they'd choose me (the TH fans are a lot crazier, lol! ), but like i said, i took part mainly to promote mika, not to win that trip.
  19. so, have any of you registered as a fan there too? it's a shame you can't search for artists, but just for fan names on the site! dunno if any other mika fans are on there - if any of you are, or you find any mika fans on there, please let me know, then i can vote for you/them... everyone who registers with their mail address can vote for 10 different people per day, and i'd love to see some mika fans in the top 10, who get in the final round. in case you wanna vote for me, my profile is http://www.swift-fanaward.com/en/vote/profile-vote/detailv/mellody/all/0/mellody/
  20. hmm, maybe that's true for those whose parents were really strict catholics, who teach their kids that god will punish them if they ever leave church, or anything like that... i guess stuff like that might stick with you. or if you're part of your local church community, you have friends there, and although you don't agree with everything the pope says, you don't want to leave this community (not every priest agrees with the pope either...). but i was brought up as a catholic, and left church as soon as they wanted taxes from me. i had to go to church every sunday as a kid, and from age 6-10, i even went to a catholic school, where 90% of the teachers were nuns. but i stopped believing in god at some point, like i stopped believing in fairytale figures like santa claus or the easter bunny. i must admit though that i'd probably still be a member of the catholic church, if i didn't have to pay taxes for it. so in a way, you might be right. it's just such a common thing that you grow up with, that it feels weird to leave - like a club you've belonged to all your life, even if the purpose of the club doesn't have any meaning to you anymore, you still feel some sort of loyalty. it's childhood memories (i remember how happy i was at my First Communion, because i got to wear a pretty dress, and got many presents), it's the celebrations that i wouldn't want to miss (like christmas or easter), it's the things you grow up with that you always think you'd be doing some time in your life, because it's just "normal", and/or a family tradition (like getting married in a church in a white dress, or having your kids baptized). and well, tbh, i wouldn't want to miss childhood memories like that, and i don't know yet what i'll do if i have kids. it's just traditions, and something you can hardly get away from - like, try to ignore christmas, guess that'd be quite hard. especially for children, if all their classmates and friends are celebrating it.
