Y'all are so silly... I am having a far too weirded out feeling to be silly here... a numb pins and needles feeling waiting for the winner to be announced. Not like it's going to be me or anything...I mean, the chances of that are....well, you know....not that great. But still....I feel like flippin' Charlie Bucket here. Poor, Bedraggled...not a chance in all the world...then, a glimpse of coin, a message from a website...ENTER....and I'm sitting here with my chocky waiting to peel back the edge. Is there gold in it? I don't KNOW. Ughhh....just end the suspense already, announce the winner, let me eat my plain chocolate and go on with my life!!!!!!!!!

When are the ticket winners going to be posted. I want to be able to sing, "I've got a golden ticket..." and believe me, if I get one I'll be singing it from the rooftops!

I'll cut Boy some slack for not remembering Mika and confusing Big Girl with Fat Bottomed Girls....Gotta remember he's an oldling, and he's lost some brain cells to substances....but on the whole, he's lovely. hello all. Haven't been on the oldlings for quite some time....just been hanging out at the latest news threads. Hope all is well with everyone here and that you all are revelling in the mika bloggedness as I am. I'm not going to the Paris show (unless by some miracle I win tickets) but am looking forward to hearing about it and seeing pics. It sounds like it is going to be a big night for the boy and therefore for us as well.

I know I'm an old lady here...and I feel a little lecture comin' on.... I remember the days when I was a young thin g, loving Queen and Freddie. (this'd be 'round the time our boy was busy being BORN) I adored Queen, and waited for hours for their videos to randomly come on to Mtv (which hardly ever happened). I saw them live TWICE. They came on national ONE time, on Saturday Night Live. As a fan living here in the US there was NO information to speak of apart from a blurb here and there in a rock magazine. A true dearth of info...a desert. I had the album sleeve to look at when a new album came out. No internet. No blogs. No word from Freddie or any of the other members about what they were doing or how they felt about anything. And for heaven's sakes, I never actually MET any of them. Yeah, that was in the olden days. But living without something or having the experience of not having something DOES make one grateful when something is given. And I am grateful for all that he's done to connect with us. I'm sure there have been things he'd like to do but couldn't for whatever reason. I'm pretty certain he doesn't like to disappoint people, as evidenced in Salt Lake City. I appreciate his intentions, and the things he does to make us happy. From what I've seen, he goes out of his way to do so, God bless him. I'm pleased.

Well. Sorry for Luke...you know, when one door closes another opens, right? Perhaps this will all be to his good in the end. I hope so, 'cause Luke seemed like a very decent sort when I met him in DC. I wish him all the best. That said, wonder who the new guy/girl will be? Looking forward to whatever the future will hold...

I feel the same. I like Amy...she's got a beautiful voice and rare talent. But she's throwing everything away by being an addict. It's going to kill her eventually if she doesn't stop. It's a shame really. She surrounds herself with people who are users. It affects her art too...when she has to cancel tours and appearances because she can't stand up, let alone sing. Did you hear about her recent performance in Brazil? She apologized for it. She knows she's being sub standard. I am not being judgemental, I like her...it's just that this behavior leads nowhere but the cemetary. It is too bad there is no one who has enough control over her to get her to stop.

I certainly would go if I could! I would love to be a part of that momentous event!!! I am dying of curiosity to see what he's got up his sleeve. I always knew, right from the very first time I saw him, that seeing him in small venues was not going to last. He can't be contained like that, and as dynamic as he is, he naturally will be wonderful in a larger venue. I just hope and pray we will be able to get good seats when the time comes! I hope Mika always sets aside seats for his faithful fans here at the MFC.

I forgot...I don't know if those of you in other countries get Animal Planet or Jeff Corwin. For those of you who don't...Jeff Corwin is a naturalist along the lines of Steve Irwin. He goes out in the wild and shows his audiences creatures living there. He has a quite an element of humor to his show, and he isn't quite as "out there" as Steve was.
