    Still asking for information... I am such a shameless beggar. Found today a video plOuf24 put on dailymotion, in June 2007, an interview where Mika, sitting at a bar, talks about Lollipop. It seems to be part of a much longer interview on Virgin 17, shot on a special Mika day or something. The first image of the video is a black and white still of a band ; who the hell are they and what are they doing there ? Tried to find plOuf24 among the MFC members but if she is one of us, not under that name. In the July 2008 Madrid interview I was mentioning in another post Mika said he liked Kurt Weill, adding he didn't think many people had heard of him (don't be so patronizing, man, not everybody is musically illiterate), which made me want to listen again to ‘Mack the Knife’ and –talking about illiteracy- I discovered Bobby Darin and his wonderful ‘Simple song of freedom’. There is a kind of snowball effect with music which makes you meet artists you had never heard before. So that, once I have traced them, the mysterious band at the beginning of plOuf24 video might well become my favourite musicians.

    Thanks for sharing. :shocked:He's got to do something about his hair. Not experiment like mad as he has done these last few months but find some kind of hairstyle. What was wrong with the one he sported till late February ? OK, it's his head, but people are watching, Mika !

    I definitively am a nuts and raisins milk chocolate person. So I am despised by true black chocolate lover bigots who think that mixing milk and chocolate is like putting water in Roederer Cristale. But the criticisms can't prevent me from enjoying !

    Next album to be released just before Xmas for marketing reasons, Mika and the band on the road again winter and spring of 2009… and you in London for their first gig, soaked after hours of queuing up in the rain but on top of the world because believe me, it’s worth it !     Front row center, yes, that must have been great but don't be jealous of me : from where I was standing the whole experience was so frustrating.

    I can't wait for the PdesP DVD to be released either... to the point of starting a new countdown thread.

    Then we can move on and dream of the next winter and spring tour (hopefully after a December release of the second album) and of venues where we can be really near Mika and the band. After queueing up for ages but who cares !

    I have cracked and put a -selfish- post to find a video and a new thread to count the days to the release of the PdesP DVD. I literally can’t wait after the frustration of being so far from the stage and seeing hardly anything of the show.

    Just found an interview on Dailymotion, partly in Spanish, which I don't really understand; the funny thing is that when Mika, who speaks Spanish quite fluently, can't find a word, he often comes up with a French or Italian one (bloody Latin languages !). During that interview he half promises an Argentinian fan who has come just for the FIB gig that he will probably tour Latin America next year, for the second album. Good for them, they were beginning to feel really frustrated. Id3

    Tough ! It's The "Looking for something thread". I am looking for the video of the interview (VH1 as far as I can make out) where Mika picks his nose while answering questions. Oh dear, we already have so many Mika's feet fetishists, now a Mika's big nose obsessed... we really are a bunch of weirdos, no wonder he hires so many bodyguards. Seriously it is rather cute and unselfconscious and nicely echoed by the "I don't want to grow up" mug in the last blog.I don't particularly mind the Peter Pan syndrom -in small doses though. Id3

    You are one of the few Mika fans who have never been to one of his gigs ? Don't worry, he is bound to roam the planet next winter with his new album, hopefully he will stop by a few dozen miles from your place. And if not, you can go to London, the music capital of the world. Perhaps we will meet in the queue, after a couple of days waiting outside the theatre, in the cold and rain but warm with anticipation.

    We are friends now, I like that but I have a confession to make I am as Leo as Mika is and Leo and Aquarius don't really get along well, I am afraid... Kidding, of course, I am delighted to be one of your numerous MFC friends. Have not had time to read your threads but am going to before the end of my short holiday.

    Yes, I know but I have taken a few days off, am a gentleman of leisure at the moment and thought I'd have a look at the MFC site. Not to post though, some of the posts are weird, even borderline hate mail about Mika... Not wonder a few fans have become bullet dealing stalkers in recent history. Oh well, maybe it's because some fans are furious to be so obsessed and blame the object of their obsession for it.

    How is the weather like in Turkey ?

    There is a mansoon in France and we have now the same temperature at noon as we had at dawn a few days back. Bleak !

    Let's see... he was at the Serpentine party on the 9th, I think ? He said somewhere in a blog that he couldn't wait to see Madonna's show (Wembley, 11th) ; everybody to their own tastes, I know I could wait. Not much of a clue, I'm afraid. It doesn't take days to cross the pond and he could very well have filmed the studio tour video before coming back to the UK and gone back to Los Angeles after Wembley... Anyway, thanks for posting a photo of the hairy shirtless drummer of long ago. It reminds us of how good he looked before he took to shaving his chest. Let's hope it's just a phase !

    No, silly, not his sister ! I am not even sure she was with him that night. His other guest. He got so many awards these last few months that I may well have got mixed up. But the night he received his award from Rihanna and Johnny Halliday, the night he presented Kylie Minogue with an award for her career, the night he was wearing a cherry red satiny jacket, in Cannes… wasn’t the event the NRJ music awards ? Anyway don’t forget the second clue : Yasmine is not on that photograph. I am sure Romis knows who I mean. Looks cute to me, Romis !

    Hello ! Happy to be here with you guys and thanks for the welcoming PM. Mika dating Adele ? No way ! First his family would have a collective heart attack and he seems to be a devoted son, nephew, brother, etc. Second he has been in a relationship for nearly a year. If Adele is a red herring, let me give you two clues : - 1/ NRJ music awards, one of Mika’s two guests ; - 2/on Google => ‘MIKA gallery 190 cm of statuary beauty’ (fansite Hollywood) => Gigs and events => Paris # 2, page 3, last but one photograph. Really cute and looks sweet, mild enough for the great man. Let’s face it : we like Mika very much and are very grateful to him for the pleasure we get from his music but as a person he must be quite overwhelming. Good luck to them both And boys and girls, don’t despair, we have not heard any wedding bells yet, he may still become single again in a few months or a couple of years… Have not had much time to go through the forum but the threads seem interesting, the posts often fun and even funny.
