1. I had to google Raphaël 'cause I'm used to call him by his first name, I didn't know you were talking about him xD *SHAME ON ME* I actually can't choose right now :'( "Origin of Love" in accoustic must be gorgeous... And I'm an accoustic fan xD When I bought TWKTM, I think I listened more to the Sadler's Wells Bonus CD 'cause the songs were even more powerful :') Aaah it's just Karen arggh...
2. I'm not sure I know the topic well enough to talk well about it as I don't know well the American music market... I tend to avoid US mainstream groups/singers 'cause I feel like they haven't got that "authenticity" that I can more easily find in Eupean groups/singers. It is of course very subjective. The fact is also that European singers tend to perform in smaller music halls while American stars always come in stadium-like halls.. In stadiums, the concert is more about performing and less about emotion, I think... I'm promoting the artists I love, of course, but at the same time, I don't know if I wish them to perform in stadiums... I feel like human-sized halle are the best and that's why I don't think being mainstream in the US is that good, at least, from my point of view. However, I can understand that US fans want more gigs, I guess Mika mainly come to big cities and everyone doesn't get to travel up North or South of the State for a gig... I'm maybe a bit off-topic, sorry :') And I don't mean to offend any US fan, here. It's just that US's vision is too big for me... And maybe ... I'm afraid that great Eupean artists go to the US and never come back to Europe... Yep, I guess I feel like it too xD
3. Coucou ! (Yep, perfect :D)

Ik heb gewoon de zoekmachine gebruikt maar met de Vlaamse versie van de site lukt het niet ... (Ik heb juist geprobeerd~) Dat is zéér vreemd hoor o.O

http://www.fr.fnac.be/Search/SearchResult.aspx?SCat=0!1&Search=mika+the+origin+of+love+-+edition+deluxe&sft=1

We kunnen sowiezo niets zien behave de release date en de kleine foto... :'(

4. I guess I needed a proper name for it I'm glad to be here. haha~ @Ingie : Glad it's sorted out~ It's really cool you had the opportunity to ! I hope you can still enjoy Mika's gigs in the future without being annoyed by crazy fans :'/
(Woensdag 22 Augustus)
6. I'd be happy with both version, actually but I really hope I can get the French songs as well :') Especially "Karen", I just LOVE it :') I understand that as Dutch speaker, you might not really need the songs in French ^^ Anyway, as Belgium has French speakers but is NOT France, I doubt we'll get the French edition. I guess the UK one is more likely. However, I think British fans'll probably order the CD online if versions similar/identical to the Uk one are released in September.. The CD might then become *strangely* better sold in Netherlands/ France than in UK HAHA xD
7. I cross my fingers for the booklet as well :> It sounded SO great when he talked about his artwork, I hope we'll get the chance to see it somewhere :> *The tear turning into something else thing * @~Wicky~ : Thank you I'll wait for a few more days... Hopefully, I'll know which version Belgium is getting soon... I wouldn't mind travelling to France to get the French edition if we don't here...It's not THAT FAR either :>
8. I had thought he'd be touring in 2013 in North/South America & than Asia... I might be wrong though... I watched so many interviews... I was hoping for an Asia tour during summer 2013 as I'm hopefully spending the summer in Japan :'D @eloise.shaw : Are you going on exchange there ?
9. CD TO BE RELEASED ON THE 17TH SEPT IN BELGIUM ! I've just read it on FNAC.BE :DD We can't see details nor the tracklist, though... FRENCH EDITION, PLEEAAAASE !
10. Japan isn't getting any Deluxe Edition ? WEIRD O.O I'll maybe sent a copy of the French one *if we get it here* to my Japanese friend for her birthday (End of September ;D) then, we'll see )) I sent a message to Universal Music Belgium to know more about the EXACT date of releasing and the version we're getting here... I'm not sure we will ACTUALLY get the CD on the 17th even if I really hope so xD In case we don't get the French version, I'm thinking of buying it online :>> *And hope for Accoustic UK bonus to reach Itunes ~ I read somewhere (a few pages earlier), that Netherlands is getting the CD on teh 14th Sept, can I ask where you find it ? I'm pretty curious about which version you'll get as I live right next to the border *_*
11. CD1 is like the UK one, I think, except that EMily is replaced by "Elle me dit" CD 2 1. Karen 2. L'Amour Dans Le Mauvais Temps 3. Un Soleil Mal Luné 4. Make You Happy (Cherokee Remix) 5. Celebrate (Robbie Rivera Remix) 6. Elle Me Dit (BeataCue Remix) 7. Make You Happy (LA Edit) 8. Tah Dah
12. Ingie, what happened to you in Belgium exactly ? It sounds like you last a terrible experience... When was it ? I'm from Belgium myself so.. I just think it's a shame to show such a bad behaviour... I feel like going to a concert in your own country is a bit like "being a little ambassador", you should try to welcome people as well as possible... And by welcoming, I mean as well the artist as the other fans... And, what do you mean by private M&G ? Like won thanks to a contest of something ? I never tried to see him after any of his until now 'cause I'd be scared of feeling like "harassing" him but well... If I can ever greet him, I wouldn't say no~ haha Ah. I though this extreme fan craziness had spared Mika. I had signed up here quite while ago but lost my password and couldn't get it back for a .. long time (miracles happens, finally) so I mostly saw this forum from the "outside", I didn't have the time to discover its darker side... I experienced myself some really rude behaviours from fans at one of Kate Nash's gigs in Eindhoven, 2 years ago. My friend & I go there early enough and we were among the 10 first people to get in the music hall beside a few people who had probably won something special. We found a spot right next to the stage. I saw that the girls next to us had already TONS of pictures of Kate Nash on their camera, they even had indiviual pictureS with Kate. They sounded really irritated the whole gig, trying to push us aside, I have NO IDEA why... At the end of the gig, my friend & I asked a technician to get a pick that was lying on the stage. He gave it to me but the girl tried to take it out of my hand, hurting me with her nails. I really thought she was CRAZY ! Except this little incident, this gig was really cool, especially because we didn't expect such a little hall I guess we just landed next to the 2 crazy fans XD The others were really cool ~
13. Yep That is what I've been hoping for from the moment I saw the "under picture" thing ^^
14. The French extra songs (Un soleil mal luné, Karen & L'amour dans le mauvais temps) are only on the French DELUXE Edition according to the mail received by Mikasounds. (cfr. a few pages earlier). :'(
15. I had the same reaction :'( I was hoping for Accoustic + French songs + Tah Dah for the 2nd CD but ... I really don't need remixes =________=' Buying the UK Deluxe version only for the Accoustic songs sound a bit exagerated to me... I hope they'll be availible on Itunes as well... Anyway, as Belgian, I'm not even sure we'll get the French version even if I REALLY hope so (Karen )
16. It's been officially announced on facebook + mikasounds 5 minutes ago: This artwork is the official one and it seems like everyone gets the CD on the 17th September, except UK xD Maybe he wants to do soemthing special there for the releasing as it is his homeland Pre-orders can be made on http://mikasounds.com/ for the UK normal & deluxe edition. Voilàààà Actually, I'm getting used to the actual artwork. I always need time when sudden changes come up and I guess I'm finally good with that cover. I'm looking forward to Mika's explanation, though. XD The golden drops/crown sound still weird to me :'D HAHAHA I agree ! Being an artist is also about getting out of your lovely comfort and daring to do new things, even if it doesn't please everyone. Of course, when it comes to concerts and so on, music is about sharing but it has first to come from an introspective journey which has nothing to do with what the artist is expected to do. I'm really proud of the risk Mika is taking with this new album even if I'm not sure to like the electro touch but I'm ready to try it 'cause I feel like Mika tried to be as sincere as possible with his album. Anyway, I really can't wait September ! I hope we get news about the FR versions ASAP as well 'cause I wonder what the new version of KAREN is like... I wish I could just enter the screen and grab the CD >____< We'll all have to be patient XD
17. I guess I'm getting used to the idea of having this cover for the new album... as mellody mentioned it, I hope we'll get to see some other pictures in the booklet with, hopefully, what he talked about in Belgium :') We'll see~ Anyway, I'm sooo looking forward to go to the music store and hold the CD in my hands ! x)
18. I'm currently trying to translate in I'm doing my best but English isn't my native language so you have to expect a few language mistakes, I guess ^^' EDIT : Here's the translation I hope it's not too... awful to read for native speakers... xD "MIKA: I HAVE ALREADY WANTED TO DIE FOR LOVE" Turning 29, the singer Mika comes to terms with himself. He’s just done his coming out and comes back with a great new CD about love. The start of wisdom? It’s up to you to decide… Beige pants and a white shirt embroidered with his initials, Mika cultivates a classic elegance. Would the pop singer who hopped around singing “Relax” have quietened down since the releasing of his 1st album, 7 years ago? It’d be too easy. As if he had to contradict us, the young singer ruffles his mop. With this new Cd (The Origin of Love), the young man, who has just made public his homosexuality, delivers us new songs full of subtle sensitiveness. In which spirit are you now that your 3rd album is being released on the 17th September ? - I feel inspired, at ease with myself. In my life, everything happened very quickly in the beginning. With 2CDs and a tour, I had no time to write songs. I had a lot of things to catch up and to forget… Did you need to find back the freshness of your debuts? - I especially needed to learn to write again. Even if I’m a solo artist, I need people around me who inspire me and give me energy. Thanks to them, I could find myself back. In this album, I talk about what my life has been for a year. It’s during that time that your sister Paloma got gravely hurt. How is she doing now? - I was called right after she had fallen off the 4th floor, she had landed right on railings. Her doctor says he has only seen one case of such recovery. Paloma is now learning to walk again. This was the triggering event for the new CD. I felt useless staying by her side, I wasn’t proud. As soon as her state was stabilized, I threw myself body and soul into work. For this album, you’ve collaborated with a lot of famous people such as Pharell Williams and other people spotted online. - I don’t care about how famous they are. My music isn’t intellectual but instinctive. These collaborations are more about encounters. Looking back to the Mika you were when you started your career, do you feel like you have changed? - No, I’m still the same. I can see my 15-year-old self recording classical music. My style, my way of speaking and my voice lead me. If I feel like jumping like a kid, then I know I’m doing the right thing. Are you worried about time/aging? - People are always obsessed with aging. Age has never been a barrier for me, though. One of my best friends is 60. We often meet each other at the pub for a beer. Is this music that gives you this freedom of mind? - With music, the value of a human being consists in what he creates, whatever his age or his sexual preferences. That’s where the idea of writing a Cd made of Love Songs came from, it is an universal subject. With “The Origin of Love”, I talk about culture, religion, tolerance and intolerance. There’s nothing cheesy about it. Accoding to you, what is “Love” ? - In “Origin of Love”, I say that “I love you so much that I’m ready to take the risk to lose everything for you, look at me while I’m killing myself…” It’s very intense, of course. The actress Fanny Ardent plays in your music video for “Elle me dit”. It is quite an unexpected choice… - We met each other at a dinner. A young lady was asking her how we could possibly want to die for love. She answered: “ It’s the only reason I’m ready to die for.” It was perfect! Have you ever wanted to die for love? - Yes. Fortunately, you’re still here. - (Laughing) It’s sweet! I know well this feeling because I often fell in love with people that didn’t love me back. I don’t think I could have written an album like this one any sooner. Before, I only knew love through other people. (He means – I guess - that he didn’t really experienced love himself but only through the people around him that actually experienced love). This time, I’m exploring, I’m discovering, I’m looking for its origin. Is there anyone to who you tell your “love affairs”? - No one! It makes things tasteless, I don’t want to be dull. “All I wanna do is make you happy”, that’s the chorus of Celebrate (I TRANSLATE XD NOT MY FAULT), aired this summer on the radios. Is this your mission? - Not at all. You look pretty optimistic, though. - You’d better not trust people who jump around on stage. Already as a kid, I was often on my own and I observed people before trusting them. This joy and this optimistic view is rather in my music (than in my life). If you bottle it, it can become really powerful. That’s what I tried to do with this album. I don’t know if I succeeded but I did this album my heart on the sleeve. Some people understand, some other understand a bit less. It will take some time but I’m not afraid.
19. I thought so too... It reminded me a Taratata interview where he was amazed by Emilie Simon's CD package.. I'll try to find it back The cover could maybe somehow get "opened" ?! I love this interview by the way xD In short, he's jealous of Emilie's CD HAHA (6':17 if you wangt to skip the song ^^)
20. Aaaah I'm soo excited ! I didn't know Tah Dah was an other collaboration with Pharell... xD I'm happy to know I'll get to listen to it I love the name of teh song so... I'm really curious about it !!! )) I'm looking forward to see what the French Deluxe Edition looks like *_* I guess I must be similar to the UK one, + the French songs Alnd that Lola video... I caaan't wait ! Especially 'cause I LOVE this song ! Thank you everyone who shared this information, you made my day !
21. Thanks you for the translations from Italian ! ) Really, I really loved it at first but the more I listen to this song, the more I LOVE it... *.*
22. Kaito

Selah Sue :D

I love this one as well I love the way she sings/speaks in English... She has a strange accent, I can't really explain it but it's really cute
23. I guess that the "electro-sound" is less likely to please fans who love his piano songs... which was a great deal on the 1st two CDs, I think. Electro-songs sound less like him at first... I'm myself more likely to like the non-electro songs as well but I'll give each song a try and we'll see So far, I've loved the LIVE versions of the new songs we know already... I'm more concerned about the "mysterious" remaining part xD Anyway, all we can do is WAIT,and hope for a great Deluxe Edition
