1. That is very true. I haven't come across these campaigns but I assume it's only because the suicides of gay teenagers are not an epidemic here. Finland is a pretty liberal country and in general homosexuality is well approved here - we even had an openly gay president candidate for this year's elections. I consider myself very lucky to live in a country that is so tolerant (even if I sometimes forget about it and moan about the most trivial things ). Even though it's sad these kind of campaigns are needed I'm glad to hear they exist and the general public has recognised the issue. I sincerely hope they help the victims who have to put up with hateful people on a daily basis.
2. Yes I mean come on' date=' who DOESN'T love this? [img']http://www.mtv.com/content/ontv/vma/2006/images/galleries/panic_at_the_disco/images/10150895_sq.jpg[/img] Good job on recruiting more fans, by the way!
3. Why didn't I know about this thread?! Bands of Fueled by Ramen were some of my favourites back in 2005 when I first heard about these guys! I must admit that I only know A Fever You Can't Sweat Out by heart - I'm not that familiar with Pretty Odd or Vices & Virtues. But their debut album is still one of my favourite records ever and I absolutely adore Brendon's voice. I keep giving breaks to listening to P!ATD but I go back to them every once in a while and they're always just as good as I remembered.
5. Oh I'm really sorry! I must've misunderstood something there. I only attend services if I have to, like weddings and such but I'm not a Christian either. I'd love to visit cathedrals like that one day. But I have to admit that I find the really simple medieval ones even more attractive. They can be kind of creepy so I find them quite fascinating.
6. I just thought I'd open a thread for this girl as I think her music is something a lot of you might like. I saw Iiris live some time ago and she is simply amazing. She's a young Estonian artist and her debut album, The Magic Gift Box, was released earlier this year. This is one of the singles from the fore-mentioned album. I had never heard of Iiris before I saw her live so I was quite shocked to find out that this song has actually gotten quite a bit of attention where I live. Her Soundcloud profile also has some songs from the album, as well as a couple remixes of 'Weirdo'. So what do you think? Yay or Nay?
7. Why people working for the media ask him these questions and make him look stupid when he doesn't know how to answer them? I honestly don't know. Maybe they ask him difficult questions because he's someone a lot of young people look up to and they want to know more about his political views, for example. Why normal people make fun of him? He's an easy target, so to speak. He's very successful for an 18-year-old and obviously there are a lot of people who don't like him or are jealous because of what he has achieved. In other words...
8. What about those small pieces of paper wrappers, what purpose do they service? Maybe he's giving us clues! There's three of them, so that must mean his room is on the third floor of the hotel?
9. OH TEH LULZ. Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to add that I actually listen to 'Baby' every once in a while. But it's only because of this:
10. I just LOVE how you came in and proved my point about some fans not being interested in Mika's sexuality. Cheers!
11. I'm sorry but I don't think homosexuality is anything anyone needs to be saved from. I have never understood how loving someone can be wrong or a sin and I never will. Also, there is a difference between not caring and accepting. Some of Mika's fans probably don't care about his sexual preferences and others accept it. Whether you see it or not, there IS a difference.
12. At first glance I thought that keychain was a piece of toast. I think I need to get my eyes checked.
13. Why would anyone want to be a part of something that does not accept them and the way they live their life, especially when it comes to something as personal as sexuality? Developing feelings towards others is not a rational choice: it cannot be calculated. This is only my personal experience (although I have a feeling there are lots of others who can relate), but the reason I chose to turn away from church was because to me, these people don't practice what they preach. How can you tell other people to love one another and all that jazz when, in fact, you're doing the exact opposite by shunning some and embracing the others? I realise that there are Christians who are accepting and don't think there's anything wrong with being gay, but unfortunately the majority of Christians I've personally met has thought the opposite. That's why I'm not interested in taking part of their actions. People can believe in anything they want as long as they don't go to others and tell them how to live their life. At the end of the day it's not even about acceptance: it's about respect.
14. Excuse me?! This is just WRONG, not only towards Mika but towards anyone who identifies as a part of the LGBT community, including myself. This is where the crazy started to be a little too much for me. I seriously wish this was all just a very successful troll but I'm afraid not. Just in case though:
15. Oh I had my ears at 6mm for a couple years! The other one was actually 8mm, I loved them but eventually I got tired of them. :aah: What happened to the piercing then?

Oh if you've sent it just now I'm pretty sure they'll deliver it to my place, it shouldn't be a problem! I'll let you know when it arrives.

16. "They get very depressed, they get very happy and they always need some sort of constant attention" - sounds a lot like me. I must've replayed Mika's Melachi imitation like 20 times, it's hilarious! And adorable.
17. Wow. I've never been one to try and catch an artist after a gig so to me this is completely insane. But as Christine said, it's mass hysteria and I, too, find the never-ending pen/camera shoving to his face just as bad and annoying. It never fails to amaze me how rude people can be during gigs. I saw Keane live a couple weeks ago and at times I felt like slapping someone to the back of their head because they were so inconsiderate and didn't give a damn about anyone else around them - and these weren't teenagers, people under 18 weren't allowed in and most of the people there were older than me. I wrote the perfect haiku for this last night but I'm afraid some might find it offensive so I'll just keep it to myself.
18. Oohh you've stretched your septum too?! :boing: How big was it? They look awesome when stretched.

Oh you! :blush-anim-cl: When did you send it? My mail transfer ends this month, I hope it comes to my apartment instead of my boyfriends because I'm not sure they transfer big mails. :aah: Thank you so much hun! :huglove:

19. At least you go to church, unlike me. Yes the machine really killed the mood for me. I'm not a religious person by any means but some churches are really beautiful so it's nice to visit them. I'm waiting for these too, especially a date in Finland... I feel like every band I like skips Scandinavian countries and tours every other country imaginable. And even though Mika's going to have the gig in Denmark that one is impossible for me to attend.
20. MTL:n tytöthän on ihan jäätäviä Pharrell-faneja, mutta kävin joskus siellä varsinaisen blogin puolella muistuttamassa niitä Mikasta.
