    At the supermarket this afternoon, browsing the toiletries section, a very embarrassed chap asked me for help in choosing between 2 types of sanitary pads for his wife. "She always gets a purple pack" didn't really narrow it down. Thing is, it's the second time it's happened to me in that shop. Wonder if I should offer my services on a formal footing?

    At this point I feel like I wouldn't want to inflict myself on the poor thing. Walking past the greenery section in the supermarket, I almost feel them quaking in their roots if I so much as glance at them. Ok, I may be slightly traumatised by my past experience with them. Thank god I'm better with my cat!

    Impressive room, but a bit cold for my tastes. Nice to see him relaxing. But does anyone else get the feeling he's been told to go sit down and stop interfering in the kitchen?

    Biryani should work too. I have it cold, but you could warm it up if preferred. They're ok, but the real thing is better. If you have a nice Thai restaurant nearby, it's worth a visit. I can't explain it. I just have this weird power. Poor things. I like to think it rejuvenated after leaving me, and is currently happily spreading across a landfill site somewhere.

    Whichever you like! Leaving it overnight gives the flavours time to mix more and takes the edge off the harsher spices, so you still have the teasing complexity but with a softer, more rounded taste. I usually go for mild to medium, so bhuna, jalfrezi, korma. Not tried it with Thai curry, but the principle is the same so it should be nice.

    Not a fan of cold pizza, needs to be warm. But for cold breakfasts the morning after, can't beat a leftover curry. Delicious. (I didn't believe it until I tried it. Oh my.)

    Which link did you use? One of the FNAC links goes to the special edition, but the other link just goes to the normal vinyl. Bit confusing.

Plants I have known: 😓 Sansevieria Peace lily Umbrella plant Kentia palm Boston fern Zebra plant Coleus Cyclamen Poinsettia Phalaenopsis orchids Dendrobium orchid Cat grass Spider plant Conversely, the overgrown brambles, ivy, nettles, thistles, hypericum and herb Robert in my back garden are refusing to die off. Or behave.

    Sounds like we need a plants thread too. 🪴🌵🌴🌳🌲🌿🌱 I love them, but do not have the touch to keep them going for long. I even managed to kill off a sansevieria, which is meant to be pretty much bullet proof.
