  1. I don't understand how Ticketone works. Today it shows unsold seats ( the light blue ones and the light grey Palco reale seats in front) that must have come from Ticketmaster because they weren't there yesterday. Why didn't they show them from Sept 1 so fans could have a complete view of what was available?
  2. It's great how the advertising agency created a commercial for a product exploiting characteristics of Mika's style. He also gets to have a GENE Kelly moment (with snow)!
  3. What about Sunday afternoon or evening? On Monday Mika may also be very busy and not check his social media accounts much
  4. Watched the video with Amy and Mika filmed on Nov 29 2021. Towards the end he says "what will be will be". Wonder if he was already working on " Yoyo" or maybe he just used it as a common expression
  5. When we did It yesterday there was no problem and I got An email of confirmation shortly after
  6. I took this screenshot on August 27. The 85 and 95 euro seats have almost disappeared. I expected more of the Assago or Mandela fans to request the cheaper seats. Hopefully, a lot more will be gone soon
  7. I wish Mika had said something to us fans who have been disappointed by the postponement (?) of the Magic Piano tour in his first video after the written announcement on social media. I've only lost 11 euros per ticket because I live near one of the venues but others have lost more money and had their plans really messed up; besides, most of us won't have the consolation of seeing Mika in Verona. On August 22 I was in Verona and wondered why there weren't any banners advertising Mika's gig at the Arena ( see Fiorello's banner?). Was the postponement already in the air? Who knows. Recently I've been glad to see Songbook Vol 1 in the iTunes charts in Italy. During the day it even gets up to n.12 and then goes down perhaps to around 30. Today I saw it at n 64. On Spotify the number of listeners of Mika's music has dropped below 7 million - don't know if it's a coincidence but I certainly hope it doesn't go any lower. Also, there are still quite a few seats in the Arena, which means that fans who booked other arenas are not rushing to get new tickets. I hope the Verona gig will eventually sell out. Anyway, I hope Mika manages to restore his relationship with fans from Italy and abroad who have been affected by his change in plans.
  8. We put in the request this afternoon for the reimbursement of 2 tickets. The procedure went smoothly
  9. What can we who stay at home do to support Mika? ( I was in Verona in August but can't return for the Arena event) Any suggestions ( apart from writing comments on FB) ?
  10. I remember reading or hearing that he was going to have an extension of the stage that would allow him to be in the middle of the audience.
  11. Sorry that the Bari gigs have been cancelled along  with all of the others. I live in the area so it's less of a hassle but I imagine it upsets your plans in a serious way.

Since we were getting close to the date of the Bari gigs, I was planning to write some suggestions about the area. Should you decide to go ahead with your trip to southern Italy, just a few comments.

When you get to Bari, you can take a train from the airport that gets you to Bari city center in 15 minutes. It costs about 5 euros. Or you can take a small shuttle bus for 4 euros which takes about 30 min to get to the city center (where the train station is); the city bus from the airport costs only about 1 euro but it takes much longer to get to the center.

From Bari airport you can find coach connections to Matera or you can go to Bari train station and take either a coach or a train to Matera. Alberobello, which is south of Bari, is a popular tourist destination. If you want to go swimming, Monopoli has nice beaches (some are free and others have lidos).

Lecce is a pretty city farther south in Puglia with beautiful Baroque churches and a Roman amphitheater.

Trani is a pretty city on the coast which you can reach by train from Bari.

To get to Naples from Bari, take a coach (Flixbus, Marino for example) because if you take a train you have to change. It takes only 3 hours.

Gotta go to work now. If you need more info, let me know.

  12. Voce 010_sd.m4a I heard "Bolero" this morning. Listen to the end - can you tell I was at the hairdresser's? 😁
  13. Amadeus ( who you see in the clip) is hosting Sanremo Song Festival again. So far the blogger Chiara Ferragni and the singer Gianni Morandi have been announced as co-hosts. I think it's more likely that Mika will perform with a song from his new album.
  14. Here's where Mika will perform but I'll see him in Bari. 😊
  15. I'm in Verona so I was hoping to find an announcement of Mika's Sept 19 gig at the Arena. When I was in the piazza in front of the Arena, I only found banners advertising the operas/ballet performances running until Sept 10 and Fiorello's show on the 17. 🙁 Maybe it's too soon. I didn't see anything about Tim Music Awards either.
  16. Saw this today ( Only my golden retriever understands me) and couldn't help thinking of Mika and his dogs! 😁
  17. http://www.musicweek.com/interviews/read/exclusive-digital-cover-inside-eurovision-2022-with-tap-music-parlophone-and-sam-ryder/085765 I read that the BBC had viewers participate in the selection for several years, then in 2020 they had the record label BMG choose the singer. However, there was no Eurovision that year due to Covid. James Newman was reselected in 2021 but ended up last so then Tap management (the team Dua Lipa worked with) got involved in the search for a suitable contestant. See the article above
  18. Thanks Eriko @Kumazzz for assembling the various bits and pieces about "Tehu" in one thread. 😊
  19. There are night buses. You might want to check out this website when you get to Rome, clicking on "plan your journey": https://www.atac.roma.it/en/modernisation-of-rome's-metro-line-a I also tried using Google Maps and it gave me a faster option (I looked up transportation from Parco della Musica to Lepanto, an area of Rome that I've stayed in) than ATAC's official website, don't know why. In any case, note that Line A of the underground/subway is being renovated so you probably won't be able to use it after 9 pm. An Italian friend of mine who lives in Rome confirmed that the area around the main train station (Termini) is not very safe at night so do be careful.

    Greg Wells

I wish Wells had played part of Grace Kelly without the plug-in so we could hear the difference.
  21. I missed that. Also, the article talks about a NEW program, so I guess it must be another show.
  22. https://tickets.glasgowconcerthalls.com/25611/25612 I wonder if this is the competition. Note the reference to Glasgow
  23. I think this is the English translation of the French article you read. https://gettotext.com/mika-summer-on-all-fronts-before-an-intense-return-to-school/ I guess the articles should be in the French press thread So the TV show must be why Mika was in Glasgow.
