Well it's not the biggest selling album for 2007 so far! So my question is the biggest selling album of 2007 for what ? Amy got it for the moment! If you say biggest selling album of 2007 and released in 2007 I agree :)

Congratulations Mika, new N°1 this week for the album and it's in SWITZERLAND!!

Merci, Danke, Grazie!

Well, careful he was certified Diamond for 750 000 copies on sale in store? He hasn't reach the 750 000 copies sold for real but certifications are always made on the instore figures. He has sold a bit less than 600 000 copies in France.

Well usually there are like 4-5 artists per year to reach that status. For the moment he is the only one ;)

MIKA is number two this week on the GLOBAL TRACK CHART! 122,000 copies sold worldwide last week. Damn. If it wasn't for High School Musical, MIKA would have been number one. But there's more chances to peak at number one in the coming future when RELAX becomes even bigger worldwide.

Australian Idol winner Damien Leith's debut album has landed at number one, his second number one album within seven months.

Leith is also now the first Australian Idol winner to score two consecutive No.1 albums.

Where We Land, packed with original songs, is inspired by the Irish-born singer's loved ones including his newborn son Jagger. It also includes a raw version of the traditional Irish song Danny Boy.

Leith, whose angelic voice and stirring performances during the Idol competition cast a spell on Aussie audiences, will tour nationally in October.

On the singles chart, Kayne West makes an entrance with Stronger at number eight.

Fergie's ballad Big Girls Don't Cry is still at number one after seven weeks in the top spot, making it the longest running number one single of the year.

Punk rockers Good Charlotte's poppy Dance Floor Anthem is at number two above Mika's Love Today at number three.

MIKA WOULD HAVE HAD GREAT SALES ON HIS CD HAD HE NOT BACKED OUT OF CANADIAN IDOL. IT IS A GREAT WAY TO GET AN ARTISTS MUSIC OUT THERE. yOU NEED TO FIND NEW PEOPLE YOU MAY NOT HAVE HEARD OF MIKA TO HEAR HIM AND SEE HIM. HAD HE DONE THAT, THE SALES WOULD HAVE GROWN IN OTHER PARTS OF CANADA I AM SURE.

America is fuddy duddy when it comes to certain artists. I mean, Josh Groban did horrible in Album sales here; however, his concerts have been selling out here. And, the more people I talk to about MIKA, the more that seem to know him. YAY!! I'm just afraid with the Electronic Age, many people just share music instead of actually buying it. It's great for getting known; however, sucks for album sales.

Anyways, I really hope he comes back here soon! And yes, it's too bad that he wasn't able to do Canadian Idol. If he didn't do, "So you think you can dance", I'm not sure if I would know who he was yet.
