Robertina, you are not alone being "old and boring" ... I agree with you, but I know many people who love to have alcohol to make them relax and be "in the mood". It can mitigate some of the torture of being squashed in a crowd. When I was 15 I was trampled at an Ozzy Osbourne concert. I had been up in the luxury boxes at intermission downing as many rum and cokes as I could manage in 30 minutes, so I didn't care! Of course I am old and boring now and won't be drinking.
