Queen: Life is Real - song for Lennon :tears:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uV9NgXkTFwo

I'm ashamed to that I'd never heard that song before, but it's absolutely beautiful.

And I remember myself crying when I heard the news... And I was only 5!! :tears:

This is one of my favourite Lennon songs and performances at The Rolling Stones' Rock And Roll Circus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LAjdRHzH4M8

Aww! :huglove:

Amazing video! I never knew John had played with Keith Richards.

I was born way too late, there's soooo much music I've gotta catch up on. :aah:

They did as "The Dirty Mac" ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirty_Mac ) in a TV show hosted by The Rolling stones in 1968 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rolling_Stones_Rock_and_Roll_Circus ), if you like this kind of music, it is highly recommended:biggrin2:

I know what you mean, I wish I had been born back in the 40s so I could have lived the 60s!!!!:naughty:

Thanks, I do like this kinda music! Still so much to catch up on though. :aah:

Have you ever heard the Traveling Wilburys [Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan and George Harrison]? So amazing! :wub2:

Exactly! It's so frustrating that most of the music I love was made way before I was born. :aah:

Oh, I can help you catching up with that kind of music, I've been doing that all my life:naughty: Have you heard this? It's one of my favourites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijSxDesidiY Or this one:

:punk:

Of course I've heard The Traveling Wilburies, I love anything George is involved in:naughty: Amazing band!!! Too bad Roy Orbison died so soon after the first album was released, I'd have loved to see more of them.

You know, many of my friends like the same music I like, and we often say it's amazing how almost all the bands/artists we love are dead!!!:boxed:

Ooh, thanks! :biggrin2:

When I've got more time, I'll definitely listen to those songs!

Aaah, George... :wub2::tears:

Most people I know have no idea who the Traveling Wilburys are. :aah:

Yeah, it's really sad Roy Orbison died so soon after the first album, but I love how they paid tribute to him in the video of 'End of the Line' and in the song 'You Took My Breath Away'. :wub2:

It really sucks that so many great artists are already dead! :boxed:

Btw, I'm reading 'I'm With The Band' by Pamela des Barres now. Awesome. :das:
