It was a huge hit here in Holland. A few years ago there even was a petition-action from viewers to demand a re-run. The original Dutch broadcaster wouldn't do it, so another took over.

Demand a re run .. omg

Afternoon tv in the uk is all Aussie shows actually thinking about it , home and away .. neighbours ... flying doctors

BBC1 shows neighbours twice a day in the uk .. its massive

The Scaly Breasted Lorikeet - I have one of these as a pet and he's just gorgeous....he's a hand tamed bird and sits with us on our shoulders....you can kiss him :) And he talks!! He says many words but sometimes he says "arsehole" thats a true Aussie!!

Noice!!! A swearing bird!

My grandparents had a cockatoo... she used to laugh like my Nan... and she says "Hello Charlie"...

Whats wrong with Jason .. I thought all all Aussie men looked like him

Yeh home and away is good too , very popular over here :thumb_yello:

Not since the late 80's I'm afraid...

I know :S I only watched it when I was a kid in the day of Shane and Angel.....haha!

I watched Today Tonight yesterday (That is also atrocious LOL) and Heath had a small role in that (H&A) - I never knew/remembered.

hahahaha!

Good old Shane and Angel... I remember them...

I vaguely remember it.. it was when Sally was still in school

He really can work that wobble board... Actually, I remember reading an article on Rolf in a magazine... how his wife and daughter felt neglected when he was out doing his thing...

LOL!

Cool! Im well educated on Australia now! So you all celebrate this?

And can i ask, what do the stars on the aussie flag represent??? (assuming they represent something).

The ones on the side are the Southern Cross, and the one under the Union Jack is a star with a point to represent each state.

The one under the Union Jack represents the states and territories (one point for each state and one for the territories) and the other 5 are the Southern Cross!

That's actually really cool.

America should have done that, instead of having 50 little stars. But then a 50 point star would be impossible....

What do you do on Australia day?
