Hi Shari! I don't know if it's a good idea, another one I'm trying is to open the oldlings and the new post in a different tab.

Shari and Martin - if you post in them / subscribe and then go onto Account at the top - it will list the threads yr interested in - if you click the small v on the left it wil take you to where you were last viewing!!

Hi Carrie! I know, but somehow for me the threads seem to update themselves, so when I do first unread, I'm often at the last page.

Happy pancake day to you too Shari, and everyone else!!

My youngest just made dinner for us all :wub2:

Hi Wendi! :huglove:

Ok, I made it to Deb's report. :thumb_yello:

The rest will have to wait, I'm now making place for hubby.

Maybe if I quit smoking long enough I can buy a laptop. :thumb_yello:

See you all, ladies, enjoy the evening.

pancake day????

you have a special day for pancakes???

just got back from running around -

bought some yarn and fabric today:thumb_yello:

the fabric is for a duvet cover

the yarn is for my attempt to make this:

Thats lovely Tootch!!! :thumb_yello:

Its Shrove Tuesday - also known as pancake day!!

In the old days people used to burn the food left in their

cupboards, then make the sign of the cross on their forehead

from the ash that was left "Shriven Tuesday"

thanks!

the throw is from cath kidston

(drool drool)

i fell in love with it when i first saw it

and saved the picture to my "ideas" file

(because i love decorating so much - i just click and save when i see something i like and just label it by the name of the site -

like a digital scrapbook i guess)

anyway - it was just to expensive to buy

(it's not on the site any more btw)

it's just granny squares

so i figured i could attempt it...

and now i am realizing that i forgot to get the light pink!

They had to use up eggs, etc as they were fasting through Lent, which starts tomorrow (Ash Wednesday). They do it much better sur le continent, and of course at the various Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) parades around the world. In Britain we just get excited about pancakes
