We don't go all out for it (we've been married 26 years after all) but there was a very nice card waiting for me when I came down to the kitchen this morning (hubby had to fly to... somewhere... today...) Sorry if i came on to strong you know...here's valentine day is not really a holiday or a day for lovers...it's just commercial stuff! and too much honey on fake sentiments. that's why i don't care much for valentine day. but i think it's nice for the youngsters to have a sort of Peynet Lovers' day...with flowers, chocos and a romantic dinner outside! in fact tonight i'm going out with 2 friends of mine (women) to a literary café where my husband would be dread to go!! and he'll be at home seeing some match on tv...this is life! In Holland Valentine's Day is quite commercial too. I don't like it, we in Europe seem to want to do everything they do overseas. (I hope I'm coming on a bit clearer then I think I am...)
