I am! I came in really fast to see how things are going, but I have to go because Sam is pestering me about my housing deposit which is due today and we're going to go do that in about five minutes.:sneaky2:

Power urine, exploding feces...:roftl::roftl::roftl:

It's hilarious until I realized it applies to me too.:naughty:

I'm off now, but I'll be back in about two hours, fifteen minutes? My history class gets out at 2:15. I'll totally post then.:thumb_yello:

Bye ladies!:wub2:

I'm at home sick, I had a science test today, science project due today, french project due today, business project that i needed to collect because it's due tomorrow, and history outline I didn't get that's due tomorrow, so I just came on here to take a break.

FML.

Again? I'm sorry, and at such a busy time, too. What kind of sick is it?

I think I might make a contribution before I go figure out how to do lens equations :boxed:

postingk.

Do you use a magnifying glass?:dunno:

Hopefully I have...:lmfao:

Definitely! We all have. And the story as a whole shifted from short, ridiculous entries to longer movie-like ones, and the new ones I feel are more like a book. It's really cool to look back and see how we evolved.

Backsies! Goodnight Mickey! Your post is good, even if you are asleep.:bleh: Your english is really good. Are you originally from Munich?

It was an odd feeling to be sleeping, but at the same time hearing some voices sneaking into my consciousness. Everything felt floating, even my body. I had been in this state for a while now, but couldn’t tell for how long. Apparently they were checking me in some way. As though from distant, I noticed a woman was touching my arm. Then it felt like someone was flipping through my memories, finally reaching something I felt like a wall. When it was touched, a flash of memory shot through my mind once again, this time, however, it seemed new. I couldn’t remember remembering the scene before. It had been the same touch from afar, and then my mind had gone blank. Just blank. Forcing the thought off as well as I could in this state, I drifted back into a deeper sleep. But it didn’t take long. Something in me was too curious to let the chance of being filled in about what was going to happen to me pass. There were single words and phrases, not enough for my dazed mind to make sense of them.

“has to be ... timing ... shouldn’t ... place exists ... fault ... memory alteration ... source ... detail ... discreetly check ... up here” I dozed off again, exhausted by the struggle of keeping myself half-awake.

Some time later, I realized the air was a little bit warmer, and the room a little bit darker. It had to be a different room, apparently I was supposed to sleep some more. Before doing exactly that, I wondered how long they were going to keep me like this.

I slammed into the wall of the cabin hard, and I felt the foundations quiver. Calvin roared and lunged after me. I scrambled away just in time and he hit the space when I had just been with a thud. The little cottage shook again. I was trying to get to the door of the other room, but every time I got close, Cal caught me. The best I'd done so far was touch the handle, but then Calvin had thrown me across the room. I was far from being truly scared, in fact the animal in me was responding to Calvin's dominating male presence. But, I reminded myself, I was not JUST the animal, I had a human side too, and I had meant what I said about no boyfriends.

Nonetheless, I knew that if I couldn't get to the other room or submit, there was a very real danger of Calvin raping me. We had been in cryo too long, our hard-won control over our animal selves lost over the years. I twisted away from Cal's grip as he grabbed me again. I leaped to the doorway and wrenched the handle, throwing open the door. In the other room, I caught a brief glimpse of a smaller bed and window before Calvin slammed into me. I landed on the opposite wall again, the breath knocked out of me. Over Calvin's shoulder, I watched the door helplessly as it slammed closed and heard the lock snap shut. I was stuck in this room with Cal until tomorrow morning. Calvin grabbed my wrists and held my arms above my head. He looked into my eyes, his own eyes yellow and feral. Then, for a moment, they cleared and Calvin the person came through.

"Please, Arts, I don't want to hurt you but I can't stop it," he pleaded, shaking with the effort of keeping the animal at bay for these few seconds. I looked at him for a beat, then nodded.

"It means nothing," I said, feeling my animal side becoming more aggressive, "It's just so we both don't go crazy."

I felt my eyes start to glow as I drew his head down and kissed him.

In the mansion, Finn and M looked at each other.

"Follow our instincts? What's that supposed to mean?" M asked, glancing up and down the hallway. Finn closed his eyes a moment, then turned to the left.

"Here," he said, pointing, "It's down that way."

"Are you sure?" M asked, looking uncertain.

"No, I'm not sure! But the man did say to follow our instincts, and my instincts are telling me that we're supposed to go this way."

"If you get us lost and we end up somewhere and can't find our way back and we die of starvation, I'll use the last of my strength to write a note to whomever finds us saying it was your fault."

The two of them walked down the hallway, turning where Finn directed, going down a flight of stairs, and into a part of the mansion they had never been before. Finn stopped at one of the doors and said, "Here it is. I feel it."

M looked at him skeptically but turned the doorknob. Inside, the room was very dark. The two of them jumped when the door slammed shut behind them. M groped along the wall until she found the light switch, and flipped it. When she turned around, she gasped.

"Finn, I'm pretty sure this is NOT the lab."

Back with the group, Soa and Nico were chatting about the wonders of the computer glasses. Nico did a web search for the PPRC. She wanted to find out how our deaths had been explained and what kind of public reaction there had been. Soa was looking through random news articles trying to get a grasp on what the world today was like.

"Soa....you should take a look at this," Nico said, a note of disbelief in her voice. Soa leaned over and looked through Nico's glasses. Her eyes widened and she glanced at Nobu, who was engrossed in conversation with Mika over the current fashions.

"Close that," she advised Nico, "And we'll look at it later with the others. Don't tell Nobu. He'll probably try to explain what happened, and I have a feeling he's not being completely honest with us."

Bleh. Not fun.

:blink::blink::blink: Convex? Concave?

This is why I'm going to read and teach literature for a living. Math to me is like Shakespeare to an ape.:bleh:

No, we've definitely gotten less crazy, but I think a lot of that also has to do with the whole "you can't post that, there's little kids on the forum" issues we had in the past.

As Calvin began tearing off Artsy's clothes she looked at the bed.

"That's a bit more...er comfy over there don't you think?" She said motioning to the bed. He nodded gruffly and threw her onto the matress, the bed then automatically lifting up and vibrating. He stared at the contraption curiously, slowly getting on it as it began vibrating faster.

"This is like a rollercoaster..." He said breathless, letting his feet dangle over the sides. Arts looked up at the ceiling and saw a big mirror above them, complete with lights. Unimpressed, she noticed a CD player beside them. She curiously pressed the play button when Barry White started playing.

"It's like this was set-up." Calvin said, the animal dying a bit when finally the door opened.

"You're not doing this properly!" A man with a British accent declared.

"You've ruined the experiment!!"

Their jaws dropped as the man continued further into the room.

Meanwhile...

Finn turned around and our eyes stared at a plain matress in the middle of the room complete with mannequins lining the wall behind it. The mannequins were detailed and had every aspect of the real human anatomy. I grabbed Finn's hand dragged him to the door that had locked.

"****, son." I muttered, turning around to see a long glass window.

"I wonder if their are people behind here." I said tapping on the glass.

Finn shrugged and strolled over to the mattress sitting down.

"Well this is a stupid skills test." He muttered.

I smoothed down my spandex suit and sat beside him when suddenly the mannequins all came to life and marched foreward.

It's ok. Just try to make it out of high school, because college, you get maybe two math classes, three tops, and you can get those all out of the way in the first year. Then you never have to think about numbers again.:biggrin2:

Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.:naughty:

Sorry, Sam saw me warming up rice and decided he wanted to eat with me and make a full meal out of it, and then he had to go to class, which meant I had to get off of his laptop, and I decided to come home because Brett was the only one left at Sam's dorm and when Brett and I are alone, it's awkward. He's not much of a talker, so I walked to my place and now I'm on my laptop eating peanut butter cups.:biggrin2:

I think I'll post.

"Well this is a stupid skills test." He muttered.

I smoothed down my spandex suit and sat beside him when suddenly the mannequins all came to life and marched foreward.

"We ruined what experiment?" asked Calvin. The man looked at him, realizing he's said too much, and began to back track.

"Mister Nobu just wants to make sure you're comfortable during your...uh...full moon...um..time," he said, giving us a smile that was completely and obviously fake. I stepped forward and grabbed the clipboard out of his hands.

"Mating rituals and habits, reproductive process...chemical induction of cycle?" I read aloud, then looked up at him incredulously. Calvin's eyes widened.

"You were going to watch us?" he asked.

"Not only that, they were also hoping I'd get pregnant," I answered for the researcher, "And from the looks of this chart, tonight isn't even a full moon. They were trying to recreate the effect. They shot us full of hormones!"

The lab researcher started to back out of the room, but I grabbed him by his lapels.

"I'm sorry," he stammered, "It's just that there was never any children parented by either one of you, and Nobu wanted to see what the result would be, and we needed more information-" he trailed off as he looked into my eyes, which had begun to glow once more.

"Well, isn't that interesting," I murmured, "You weren't far off the mark. Your hormones did put me in heat. But you shouldn't have done this without talking to any of us first. Because every PPR knows that it's a very, very bad idea to mess with me when I'm in heat."

I threw him against the wall and he crumpled in an unconscious heap on the floor. Calvin and I stalked out of the cottage to find Nobu. He was going to explain everything or two very horny, very cranky semi-humans were going tear him apart.

Meanwhile, in the mansion's basement, Finn and M were backing into the corner of the room, the mannequins closing in on them.

"What do we do?" asked Finn. M looked around frantically for a second, then snapped her fingers.

"It's a test of our skills, right?"

She focused on the closest mannequin and smiled, looking into its synthetic eyes and trying to attract it.

Behind the glass, a woman whispered to a man, "Remarkable. The technique seems to require eye contact. Their powers of attraction work by putting the subject into a mild state of hypnosis so that they're more susceptible to suggestion." The male scientist nodded.

"But how do we duplicate that?" he asked, "Nobu wants to find out how to replicate this power with an outside subject, but I don't think even they fully understand how they do it." The woman sighed.

"Well, let's gather as much information as we can from this experiment and present what we can to him. Remember to remind him that these things take time. We'll need to conduct more experiments, test others, see if there's any mental condition that the technique isn't effective on. Once we target how it works and who it doesn't work on, we can learn to recreate it and perfect it."

The man nodded, watching M and Finn trying to charm the mannequins, and took notes on his clipboard.

 Yeah it's ok papa M is helping me.

Then I have o do history and business.

Booooooooooooooooo it's 9pm and i wanna go to bed at a decent time.

Sigh.

That's true. :huglove: You're the best!

:lmfao: No laptop during homework? I remember those days. My dad could only put up with me for about 15 minutes before he gave up on trying to help.

Morning everyone

Evening, Bec.:naughty:

Speaking of evening, I have a night at the San Francisco Ballet (men in tights:mf_lustslow:) for my theater class, so I'm off in about 15 minutes and won't be back until midnight or so.
