Pantene Pro-V (even though I don't like the shampoo that laundry smell the shower smell baked goods when a man has just the right (amount of) scent on- maybe it's the cologne, aftershave...I don't know but some men smell nice Glow In The Dark Tour = Unexpectedly an absolute must see. dcdeb
This is a thread for recommendations of things (books, movies, musicians, artists, food, clothes, etc) that you think other people simply MUST discover, if they haven't already. Thanks, Jack -- good idea! Some of my choices are well-known in some circles, but I'll guess here... not so much... But maybe... they're still worth a look/listen! I recommend: 1. Imogen Heap (musician) http://www.myspace.com/imogenheap Especially: Hide and Seek Because: She's totally quirky and fun and inventive and amazing. 2. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (book) http://www.amazon.com/Curious-Incident-Dog-Night-Time/dp/1400032717 Because: It's a book that really delves into a different world -- the world of the autistic person. I found it fascinating and kept thinking, "Why can't *I* write like this?" 3. The Alchemist (book) http://www.amazon.com/Alchemist-Paulo-Coelho/dp/0061122416/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1211064387&sr=1-1 Because: It makes you think. 4. Marcella Hazan (cookbook author) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcella_Hazan Because: She doesn't have her own TV show, but this woman's recipes have changed my life! If you love to cook, if you love Italian food -- get one of her books. Seriously. 5. Stickboy (musician) http://www.myspace.com/stickboyuk Because: Just because. He's got a great voice, very laid-back sound... and he's just a boy made of sticks... dcdeb

I have to say I've been surprised at finding some schools doing a capella versions of Mika songs -- at the college level, at least what I've found on youtube so far... some good, some not, but still... as a digression: (Happy Ending) http://youtube.com/watch?v=qr4jo5kx74o (Grace Kelly) I guess they could be considered my youtube recommendations dcdeb

I recommend: Drinking at least 2 1000ml bottles of water a day. This may seem like a lot, but when you drink enough, you really notice the difference. I know i didn't used to drink enough, so i decided to experiment and drink two nalgene bottles of water a day, and since then i'm more awake, my skin dry anymore, and just generally feel better. LadyGodiva
Wow! I think I'll try that...I don't drink water very often... It's bad Yea, almost nobody drinks enough water. clearly you can live without the recommended amount, but you feel much better when you have it. I might also add, for motivations for some, that many people also lose weight when they start drinking water regularly. (many times when you drink enough water, you wont be thirsty for pop, and wont be as hungry for snacks) I don't always drink quite that amount, but i do my best. Thanks for the tip! I love water though.. it's just that sometimes it's too bland for my taste buds. Plain. (Is bland the same as plain?)

(Is bland the same as plain?) plain is more general, but i think yes. You can try adding flavoring to, or perhaps try vitamin water (previously recommended) but then that costs you money. A lot of times i'll go for a walk in the park and bring it with me, and then have it finished by the time i get back.
