Makes him look a little more rough, a little less...cuddly. Someone in the Mikagasmic thread called it his "Latin lover look" - hehe, so appropriate. '5 o'clock shadow' refers to the facial hair that grows if one doesn't shave ... in particular, naturally hairy men ... as in ... by '5 o'clock' there will be some stubble on the face or tiny facial hairs ... even if they shaved that morning ... hope this helps !! He looks italian here (did he spill drink down his front? ) He could have spilled a drink, or as somone said, it could be the shadow from the mic. Or...his sweat...
