A: Wait a couple of hours. Depending on your Internet provider, it could take a while to change over. Q: Do I have to register there? Does my MFC login work? A: Mikasounds has a separate "community" feature which isn't tied to MFC at all. If you'd like to use your MFC username, you'll need to register over there. Q: Wait, why is there a forum over there? A: As part of the "community" features, including user profiles etc, there's a "lite" forum over there that people can post on. It is not replacing MFC, and MFCers will still continue to chat here as we always have. Q: What does this mean for MFC? A: MFC has finally gotten a link from the main "community" page of the new Mikasounds site. This allows us to carry on as we always have, while at the same time getting us recognition and increased exposure. Yay us! Like for example stuck in the middle has lyrics on there never discussed before; instead of 'its so hard to know' it says 'so i dunno' theres heaps more. look for yourseelf! The first thing that came to mind when I saw it was "Willy Wonka" 2. Although it's visually delicious, the graphics make it slow... 3. It's a shame that under most links you see "Coming soon" 4. dcdeb Posted May 7, 2009 Share Posted May 7, 2009 Can't get it on this laptop, it's old and my friend doesn't think he can get InternetExplorer7 on it! He's going to have a go over the weekend, but it's not looking good. He let me check it out on his work laptop though and it's pretty impressive, if a little slow getting the vids loaded. Rose and all -- The new Mikasounds site works BEST in Firefox. It's fairly good in IE7, but older versions of IE, not so much. They are working out the bugs still and will be for the next few weeks. It will take a while for the site to propagate to all ISPs all over the world. It's like when we moved servers -- remember? And some of us were stuck on the old server and others got on to the new one without any trouble? Because the DNS (the "name" if you will) of the site made it through the pipeline quicker to some places than to others. Just give it a day or so. How come all the photos on the front page of the Community section are ALL MFC mods?And all dated 1st May 2009? But Mikas own pics only got put on yesterday! It's all very strange! We were asked to do some testing of the site, as guy has explained. As I told the site designers, if ANYBODY could find fault with something WE could do it! LOL! And we did -- but new bugs have cropped up since all these new members are joining, and I ask that you send them to me as you encounter them, so I can pass them along to be fixed, OK? And FTR, I don't think Mika himself actually uploaded those pics -- it was probably done by whoever has been designing the site. And does anyone else get "This Webpage is not Available" every few clicks? I do, but I can't tell if it's the site itself or just my web browser. Again, please let us know when and how you run into these problems, OK?
