Hello! Julia Child did not start the "Foodimentary Twitter" site. In fact, on August 13, 2004, Child died . . . in Montecito, two days shy of her 92nd birthday. Her final meal was French onion soup. This will tell you a good deal about JULIA CHILD: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Julia_Child As the "Foodimentary Guy," John-Bryan, has been posting since 2007 and ranks in the top 100 among the leading destinations on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/foodimentary. Twitter rankings can be found at http://www.twitterholic.com/foodimentary. This will tell you a LOT about The Foodimentary Guy, JOHN-BRYAN HOPKINS: http://www.reuters.com/article/pressRelease/idUS242467+10-Feb-2009+BW20090210 Twitter quote of note: "Hollywood has the Oscars. Broadway has the Tonys. Now Twitter has the… Shorty Awards?" Brad Stone, New York Times Edited May 20, 2009 by A. Clay
A. Clay
"Sitting eating a Scotch egg, drinking tea, and watching Hornblower. Oh lord, I'm becoming a old woman, someone save me! LOL!!!" Scotch Eggs A hardboiled egg encased in sausage meat, rolled in breadcrumbs and then fried. fried. fried. Ingredients: 6 hard-boiled eggs, well chilled (i try to cook them to just past soft boiled stage, then stick them in the coldest part of the fridge to firm up) 1 pound good quality sausage meat (i used ground turkey meat, seasoned with sage, white pepper, salt and a tiny bit of maple syrup) 1/2 cup AP flour 1-2 eggs, beaten 3/4 cup panko-style bread crumbs Vegetable oil for frying Directions: peel eggs; divide sausage into 6 portions. roll each egg in flour then press and shape a portion of the sausage around each egg. dip sausage-wrapped eggs into beaten egg and roll in panko. heat oil to 350˚F . cook each egg for 4-5 minutes (longer if shallow frying--constantly turn the eggs around for best results) or until sausage is cooked and browned.
