Yes, you're right. Marshmallows are the squidgy things like in your picture above. But the light fluffy centre in the chocolate kisses can also be called mallow. I guess it's more of a whip. The sign on the stall I got them from said chocolate covered mallows. OK I've just googled, the centre is actually based on lightly whisked and sweetened egg white. So... I dunno. A selection of savoury canapés. Traditional snails (I'll pass thanks) Salad Niçoise Coq au vin Bouef bourguignon Sole meunière Ratatouille (does not contain rat) Flan pâtissiere Croquembouche bouche bouche bouche...
