mgpm
Ok...out with it, Lissy.... I've already gone from mikaphoria to mikapression and you have yet to write your viewpoint! Maybe August 10 is when Mika is going to be on Good Morning America.

Really? I talked to her while she was handing out lollipops and she didn't say in character at all. She was telling me that she saw me queuing and was asking how long I waited and was telling me about where everyone on stage was going to be. Hannah
I love her accent! And it's hilarious, I was just listening to the video that I got of our conversation at the Atlanta show, and because of the crowd I can't hear her very well so she asked me when I started queuing up about four times. The first two times she said it in her British accent, then the third time she changed into an American accent and said it. I guess it was because she thought that I couldn't understand because of her accent. I didn't catch it until I was listening to it today.

Yeah...she was very funny...none my friends had a clue about what we were talkin about because they aren't as diehard as me... I asked her "Hey Lollipop Girl...you look great as always...but were the hell is Chew Chew...back stage?" and she just rambled on about this baby Chew Chew in D.C and my friend turned to me and asked "Who is Chew Chew?" I explained later

I explained later No, she's British. She just, I guess, put on an American accent because she thought that I didn't understand the British one, lol. Either that, or her accent randomly changed for a minute. It sounds like she pronounced her r's differently and softened the accent a bit. At the Atlanta gig, a member of the stage crew put a Chew Chew stuffed animal in front of Cherisse's drumkit and about 10 minutes later picked it up and took it back off stage. I wonder if it was the same one that hoochatooch gave Mika...I can't remember what the one at the gig looked like in detail. It was about the same size, though. mgpm
I'll bet it was! Tootch's had a white tee shirt on that said "Virginia is for Lovers" and camoflauge pants and converse sneakers. She's going to be so pleased at that...and that Lollipop girl was going on about baby Chew Chew.... LOL!
dcdeb
*sigh* Just bumping this whilst getting a little nostalgic, remembering my first-ever Mika gig... Can't believe I've seen him three times within one year! In three different cities and two different countries, even! The reports -- if you want to get nostalgic with me -- start around page 20. And to commemorate the occasion, one of my favorite pics from meeting him that night: *sigh* dcdeb

dcdeb
I'm right with you Deb!!! That was a great night! Especially when Jerry got us back stage!!! That was the best! It really was... we were so lucky! I was hoping you'd pop in here to see this! lol, i just re read my post of my report...I was so star struck lol. I wonder if I'd be like that again if I saw him or if i'd be a tad bit more different. I did the same -- reread my post of the evening, and also all my posts leading up to the night. I remember that feeling as all the tour dates were being announced and they were oh, so far away -- I didn't think he'd ever come anywhere close enough for me to see him live. And then the Washington DC date was announced, and everyone on here was so excited for me! That was one of those times when I realized how special the MFC and its members were Here it is a year later, and I'm feeling that same desperate feeling, like: Mika is performing everywhere except where I'm going to be -- He must hate me. Ah well, never mind -- there's always 2009... *sigh* dcdeb
