Great review Bexxy. It was amazing wasn't it? Jo and I were there on launch nite and it was frantic.................everyone was still painting downstairs at 5pm in readiness for the opening at six!! Yasmine and her mum were very stressed trying to put all of the finishing touches together (like the lollipops!! they were getting poured in when we arrived!) We were talking to Mika's aunt when BBC3 turned up!! He was also filming a segment for Channel four which is due to be shown on tonights Friday Night project. I'm away in Scotland til Sunday so won't get to see it til I get home. I don't know whether I'll get chance to put up any pics while I'm up here but will def do them when I get home. Vix x

It really annoyed me that article! The Guardian have been really harsh on several occasions and that comment made me feel uncomfortable as I was in the video and love the song and Mika's stuff in general.........but it made me (not personally but as a representative of "big women") out to be a stupid person if I couldn't see that he was being contrived and patronising. I note that he said on a recent interview that he's being harranged an a daily basis about the song with people asking if it's about the size 0 culture. I do wish interviewers would do their homework or at least listen to what he has to say about a subject before throwing in their 5 pennys worth! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I think they'll re-release Relax/Billy Brown in the Autumn then Lollipop for Christmas. The management have said they'll be 5 singles from the album but I wouldn't be suprised if they release a few more.........especially to showcase his ability to do slow/balad type songs..........Happy Ending/ Any other world. It was so great to see the show after us all making there.........the sunshine reflected the mood eh? I also think it's a shame they didn't show more of peoples costumes/people singing along/etc but who knows what more there'll be in the extended version tonight?! I loved the fact that they filmed the stage reflection in my glasses and that I got to say a few words (I actually rambled on quite alot according to Jo!) They've got to show "Love Today" right? Oh, and I hope they show "I want you back" too. Fingers crossed for much more of us all later. Vix x

It was great to watch as I was there (was interviewed wearing heart shaped mirrored glasses, feather boa, silver cap, etc with my friend Jo) but the sound quality was rubbish compared to hearing it live. Even the sneaky bit of footage I shot on my camera sounded better than C4's efforts! It's repeated (but on longer-50 mins instead of 35 mins this morning) at 12.30am tonight). Vix x

LOL! Imagine if we hadn't!!! Just bumped into each other on the day...... It seemed to work as during I want you back the camera man came down from the stage and filmed the two of us dancing.........we weren't aiming for a 70's look but that's how it turned out! We only knew at 6pm the night before that we could go so had to throw something together!! We added the red brollys cos I thought it would bucket doen but obviously didn't need them! We said hello to Bexxy and Sara but everyone seems to know each other so it's quite hard as an outsider to just join in. It's weird how there seems to be a core of fans that are at all the events........although I don't think anyone else went to the Big Weekend in Preston(?). I've been lucky enough to have gotten to be at everything so far but think my lucks run out now with the iTunes gig. Vix x

I hate that when I say to people that I like Mika they instantly go into a high pitched bit of Grace Kelly "I could be brown, I could be blue" or Love Today "love today, gotta love today"............as if that's all he can do. Like he's some kind of gimmick. He's so talented in so many areas that he really needs to be showcaseing it more. Grrrrrrrrrr.........I suspect he's really stubborn about what he wants but the people working with him should be steering the whole project in a more focused direction. Vix x

Six songs for sorrow doesn't have the same shakespearian ring to it though eh? I've heard him say that he wants to promote LICM for a year and a half........that he's dabbling with the idea of the Five songs for sorrow EP in between the two albums and that Instant Martyr was the record companies choice for the B side of Big Girl (which the Mikasounds website confirms) so it's not going to include that one. So it could be a mixture of the meloncholic demos and some new material. I've also read an interview where on of the record company bosses said that they're planning on releasing 5 songs from LICM.........I'm thinking that Relax/Billy Brown will get a full release in the Autumn then Lollipop will be released for Christmas. I think one of the gentler songs should get a release though to show the public his versatility........like Happy Ending, Any other World............or even the mid tempo's My Interpretation, Stuck in the Middle. The point is, it's going to be very hard to keep it to six releases if you ask me. Maybe they'll change their minds??? Anyone got any thoughts? Vix x

Thanks so much for the Youtube upload..........it really does look better now eh? I am still amazed that the other version was released for official download though............yet another strange occurance in the world of Mika!! This version doesn't make me want to cry like the last one as the section where Mika asked me to join him in the dance off has been cut. It was the bit where he held out his hand...........I bottled it and the girl with the purple paterned top went in for a second time instead! I'll never for give myself for being a wimp!! Sigh.......... Vix x

Well, we just got back and it was amazing.............the sun was blazing down and you would never have known that we'd had country wide flooding the days before!! Mika said he felt like he was in his living room......but with a few extra people there!! He did his usual set but it had a festival atmosphere due to the sunshine and it being outdoors. (It was in the Great Northern Square for those who don't know). The lollipop girls and the Big Girls were there too. They did loads of filming for the documentary so there should be plenty of sightings of MFCers on the finished film which is being aired on channel4 next Saturday 7th July. (For reference Jo and I were wearing blue tops, blue feather boa's, silver disco hats, red shiney sunglasses and carrying blue sparkley bags and red umbrellas!!) I couldn't be shut up but Jo kept shtum!! Anyway, I'll post some pics on myspace when I get chance. Can't wait to hear what everyone else thought!!! Wow................he just never fails to deliver! We nearly didn't make it and were stressed to the eyeballs but it all diasappeared as soon as he came on stage. Ahhhhhhhhhh... Vix x

Oooooops! Got impatient due to the feeling of panic/lack of time!! Eeeeeek! I'd forgotten about the flooding! It's all too much! Right I have to go dry my hair etc......... Do you know where people are meeting yet? Just that I don't think I'll get chance to get on here again before I get to Manchester at 5pm. I'd really like to meet up with any MFCers as I was rather shy at the Big Girl shoot and didn't talk to anyone (even though I recognised a few faces).

It is with very little notice and our public transport/road systems!! You could fly from the states quicker than we could get from a few counties away!! I mean it!! I'm only 40 miles away and I'm panicking about getting there in time if the traffic's bad. Imagine the horror of getting there after the doors closed??????!!!!!!!! Vix x
