  1. I agree that the song is just about being comfortable with yourself. But as to Mika liking big girls...I dunno...he's quite skinny and I think they might be a bit too much for him to handle...
  2. I love how people were upset when Brian said something about how that one guy wanted to do WWRY, and they twisted and made it look like Brian was coming off as a jerk. I was thinking to myself, 'This is BRIAN MAY from QUEEN! That guy should've been content just to lick Brian's boots!'
  3. I think my obsession with Mika was at its peak before the album came out up until a few days ago. Before the album came out, I had Grace Kelly and Relax and Love Today on repeat all the time, and the same for the whole album when I got it, but a few days back I had my usual music shift, when I started listening to another artist lots. I think its just natural, at least for me - I'll be obsessed with a few artists for a period of time, then it'll shift to other artists. I'm sure my Mika obsession will grow again when it gets closer to time for him to come back here and tour.
  4. ah Harry Potter. I'm planning on seeing the new movie this weekend, and getting the new book when it comes out in a few days.
  5. The Beatles! one of the greatest and most influential pop/rock acts of all time. I love their music so much, its so diverse, from beautiful ballads to quirky pop. While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Eleanor Rigby, and I Am The Walrus are some of my all time favorite songs. Could I be added to the list of Blue Meanies, please? And the extra names you have, could I be Mean Mr. Mustard?
  6. She was trying to keep herself from falling, so I suppose she wanted something large to grab onto to keep her balance.
  7. My favorite author would have to be J.R.R. Tolkien. Lord of the Rings is really an amazing piece of work, and pretty much created the modern fantasy genre, but in my opinion, the Silmarillion is his real masterpiece. I also like George R.R. Martin, and his A Song of Ice and Fire series, which is probably only second to Tolkien. Then I love Robert Jordan and his Wheel of Time series, no matter how all over the place it is. the first five books easily rank up there with Martin and Tolkien. I also love all the classics. 1984, Lord of the Flies, Dracula, The Once and Future King, The Great Gatsby, Paradise Lost, The Inferno, Beowulf, etc. so I'm a pretty big bookworm.
  8. oooh....Cherisse stuff.... :mf_lustslow: thanks much for posting the link!
  9. So far I've been able to go about a week without his music. I just have so much other stuff I haven't listened to, and I'm trying to catch up. I'll probably end up craving his music in a few more days, though.
  10. it is. Freddie, Brian, John and Roger in their early days. before they became one of the greatest bands of all time.
  11. I used to sit there for ages to make it do that to Lollipop girl when I first started going to the site. :roftl:
  12. My mom likes him...I had him on my ipod in the car awhile back listening to Lollipop, and she was all 'is that Prince?!' and I was like 'no'....she was all 'well whoever that is, I like it'
  13. Exactly! Mika's just beginning to get noticed a lot more in the States, so he'll be back soon, especially since Chicago is one of the major cities that artists always come to, along with New York and Los Angeles.
  14. do you know how jealous I am? I was going to go to his show here in chicago which was today, but about a month or so back, I found out I had orientation at for my college for today and tomorrow. Then, a couple days ago, they call me and tell me my orientation had been moved to next month! jerks...so basically it was too late for me to get tickets. but still, thats great you got to meet him. I always figured he'd be a great guy, and this just solidifies it.
  15. Well, I pretty much think that at this point, no one really knows. He may be gay, he may be straight, he may be other. Either way, the fan club has assumed the position of loving Mika for his voice and his music, and his good looks which come along with both, and, as several others above have said, we don't care about his sexuality.
  16. I'm tired of hearing the ladies fawn over those other guys who always seem to be on those lists, so Mika should definitely win this.
  17. what would I make...I have no clue...maybe pizza or something, since thats always good. but with all kinds of great toppings. then sweets and stuff, like cookies and cake. good question, by the way.
  18. I just got one of Ours' albums, Distorted Lullabies... Jimmy Gnecco has an awesome voice. *looks for song he did with Brian on youtube*

  20. Haha. I never really paid any attention to them until they were on American Idol a few nights ago (yes, I watch that awful show ) and I bought Slippery When Wet soon after, and its an awesome album.
  21. Big Girl is the next video? how did I not know this? thats awesome!
  22. that's one of my goals in life, to meet Brian and Roger. So whenever the time for Queen + Paul Rodgers to come to Chicago, I'm going to be willing to jump through hoops to see them.
  23. ah yes, the Fat Bottomed Girls video....I've always thought his pants in the video are horrible ...I mean, what were you thinking, Freddie, their like, vinyl or something... :roftl:
  24. I have to admit one day I was at Best Buy and Grace Kelly came on and I did this little thing where I kinda stopped flipping through the cd's abruptly and looked all excited...thankfully no one saw me or else they would've thought I was loony.
  25. Well I'd rather have Mika be himself with decent amount of influence and similarity to both of those artists, because they're both amazing. (no matter what anyone thinks of Michael Jackson today, he was truly the ruler of the music world in his heyday.)
