  1. besides, mika tweeted: in sunny London working on a Pharrell track, which is making me smile, then working with Greg Wells tomorrow, in London for the first time have really enjoyed recording a lot of this record in London, totally different feel to LA. much happier working atmosphere & less lonely good to hear from him - that's much better news than the facebook ones.
  2. you're right, but i wonder what stopped them from doing that today. probably it's this typical "keep up the suspense" thing that they have on all of those stupid tv casting shows - one reason why i don't watch those! if they hadn't posted anything about "exciting news", or if they had just written a list of the dates we already know, with an info like "we confirm that mika is going to play at those", i wouldn't have complained. but the way they do it just sucks.
  3. new on facebook: "There have been lots of rumours flying around about shows, the album and other things going on with Mika this year. The best place to hear about all this and more is here on Mika's official Facebook page! We have many more announcements and a couple of competitions to come this week and over the next month, so stay tuned..." LOOOOL! looking forward to the competition though. (they still didn't give away the fab eye ball shirts in a competition yet, or did they? )
  4. lol, you could think that it was a private gig for martin. it makes me a bit nostalgic to watch this old video, which reminds me of the early 2007 gigs... ... but on the other hand, i find it amazing how much better his performances are now! i already found him fantastic when he used to perform with his back to the crowd, but since he gave that up and now that he has a lot of performing practice, he's just unbeatable!
  5. thanks christine for the explanations, i had no idea this morning what he meant! never heard of the song, and google's pallet translation made no sense either. i actually thought of owen pallet for a moment too. let's say it doesn't make it easier to stuff your thoughts into 140 characters if you can't spell and most of your followers aren't native speakers of your language.
  6. nah, he decided that he can't be bothered with album & touring anymore, and has gone to work on his figure skating career instead.
  7. you're right about the "pregnancy", but that's not what he claimed to be the reason in his column. and pfft, he should be happy that we missed him! i probably wrote him sth like "great to see you back on twitter, looking forward to the album". what else are we supposed to answer to that benny benassi tweet? like i said, if he wants more interesting answers after such a long twitter-absence, he should write more interesting tweets, like a song snippet.
  8. thanx for the translation & scan! well, mika may be excited about working with benny benassi, but tbh i don't care about this guy, so this tweet was about as interesting to me as if mika had tweeted about his breakfast... if he had tweeted a short clip of the song instead, he surely would've gotten different answers! i can understand his point though, that he finds it hard to condense his thoughts into 140 characters. it's definitely different to writing a song, because a song is art, and if you make art (here: song lyrics), you can do things that you can't do in an everyday conversation. if i had 200,000 followers and my every move on twitter was watched like it is the case with mika, i'd also be VERY careful about what to write. you can be so easily misunderstood if you try to fit into 140 characters what you want to say. it's still no excuse though for him to disappear from twitter for months. even if he does nothing all day except have breakfast (), he could at least tweet something like "hi, how's everyone doing?" (or just "yo!" ), and answer a bunch of tweets that he finds interesting.
  9. nezza just tweeted a bit about the article: http://twitter.com/_laNerys i guess she'll post more about it when she's back from work.
  10. totally agree. i don't wanna have to go to france again! thank you camille for the translation!
  11. this golden ticket is a fantastic idea! they could've included a m+g for the winner though. anyway, i have a question... if i want to buy, let's say, 3 tickets, can i just donate £30 to get them, or would i have to make 3 donations à £10? that's a bit unclear to me in the description.
  12. i was able to watch the whole concert, and really enjoyed it. josh talked a lot on stage, and some very funny stuff, i think he'd have done well as a comedian too! i also found it interesting that lots of people had travelled from abroad to this gig, several things reminded me of mika, also the aftershow m+g where josh signed for the waiting fans... compared to the size of the venue there were a lot more waiting than for mika! and it was also very interesting to see all of this from an outsider's point of view (which obviously i am not when it comes to mika ). filming and photos were allowed in the end (first i was told that it was forbidden), because there were only 3 security people for ca. 2000 guests, of which about 1000 were taking pix even before josh came on stage, so i guess they decided that it was hopeless to even try and stop them.
  13. sorry that you have so much trouble with all that. i'd say stay with us instead of the josh groban fans, mika fans are much nicer. (most anyway... ). i bet josh wouldn't like it if he knew how childish and selfish his fans are! i've never worked at the philharmonie before, so i don't know about photos/filming at this venue in particular, sorry. usually at olympiahalle etc. it's allowed (with non-professional cameras), except if the artist doesn't want it. for example at the eagles concert on königsplatz it was strictly forbidden to film, and we had to look out for people filming during the whole gig, and tell them off.
  14. maybe i can work at the josh groban concert in munich on friday... will see what i can do. (did i mention that i love getting paid for watching concerts? ) edit: yup, gonna be there! so tina, maybe i'll see you there. look out for me, not sure yet what position i'm gonna work at, could either be backstage (then probably i won't see the show ) or as a platzanweiser (whatever that is in english... ).
  15. march, yeah that's what i thought. and it might mean that we might get a new single 2-3 months before that, so he might start doing promo from january on... anyway it was like that the last time with we are golden. *hopes*
  16. this reminds me how at the soundcheck mika refused his mic with a disgusted look on his face, and then got a new one.
  17. if you leave my watermarks in the pix, and tell people that if they want to use the pix (for their website etc.) to leave the watermarks as well, then yes.
  18. sorry, only seen this now. were you there too? i was, of course, as i live in munich, and been a tt fan since 1993. people started queuing in the middle of the night already, it wasn't worth it for me (it's enough if i do that for mika! ) so i only arrived at 1pm or so - but still managed to get to 3rd row at the b-stage. would've been more relaxed to go to the back though, i had to fight for the whole concert to keep my place, since there was a lot of pushing. i could see very well what happened on the b-stage, but unfortunately not everything on the main stage... that's the bad thing when you have 2 stages and nearly half of the gig is on the 2nd stage. hope mika never does that! in any case, i really enjoyed the parts of the gig that took place on the b stage. though i realized (again) that i'm still more a fan of the "old" take that, the way i knew them in the 90s - the memories i connect with that time are probably the only reason why i still like them. their medley of the old songs (which unfortunately took place on the main stage) was my fave bit of the show. though i also really liked the alice in wonderland style they had for "shine", and the chess scenery for "kidz" - maybe it's also because kidz is the only song of their current album that i really love. oh yes, and i loved the intro to "the flood", especially this huge album cover thing! after the show i went to the "official take that end of tour aftershow party" at the pacha, howard was DJing there and i also saw jason... but it was extremely full, you could hardly move, so it wasn't really much fun. i heard mark and gary were there too, but they hid so well in the VIP area that i didn't see them. if anyone's interested, here are my pix from the pacha (haven't uploaded the concert ones yet... the ones of robbie are from the day before the gig at the "cars 2" movie premiere): http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/mellody76/Take%20That/
  19. dunno if it'd help, but guess it wouldn't hurt. nope, guess they're just releasing it because it's not much to do for them to release an existing mp3 and it *could* make them some money.
  20. from august 19, the song is officially available on amazon germany as a download: http://www.amazon.de/Elle-Me-Dit/dp/B005GI8T86/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1313148220&sr=8-1
