  1. pfft the quality is a lot worse than on my pc! hope it'll still improve on youtube.
  2. ok, here it is, mika in abu dhabi, without the beginning, and featuring deb's tweet. guess it'll do for the ones who haven't seen it, but hope we'll get a better version eventually.
  3. yup, it's currently uploading. youtube says 16 minutes left.
  4. ok, will upload it. guess it'll take 40 minutes or so. it's not as bad as i feared it would be... but i should've stopped tweetdeck before, at one point there's a little popup window with deb's avatar.
  5. hm... worked fine for me. so, did anyone manage to do a proper recording? i filmed with my camera but missed the beginning and quality is cr*p of course. but if no one else recorded, i'll upload it.
  6. filmon also stopped for me after a few minutes, but what i did was use this control thingie that appears when you move your mouse over the bottom of the player window. the big one on the left, i pulled it back towards the pause button, and since i did that, it's working nonstop.
  7. wow, 2 songs, that's cool! hope they'll show that red carpet bit on german tv tonight! watching on filmon now. can try to film mika with my digital camera from the pc screen, but not sure if it works and certainly won't be the best quality, so if anyone can record it directly on the pc, that'd be fab.
  8. sounds ok... but i'd first like to hear from the others how they're getting there - maybe they do have a car? that would be fab, thanx!
  9. i watched that first thingie on n-tv, and like expected, nothing about mika. they showed the hotel though where the show takes place, really posh, with real gold everywhre and swarovski chandeliers and a beautiful beach with clear turquoise water. and they talked a bit about the awards show, & showed footage from previous years - lots of stars there, also music stars, it really looks like it's the oscars or something. apart from that, only interviews with people like boris becker or vitali klitschko on today's show. although i tried hard to see whether mika was running through the picture somewhere in the background, but i think he didn't. tomorrow the program on n-tv will be about the red carpet, so maybe we'll get to see him there... *hopes*
  10. in addition to what violet posted, i found some more info on german tv footage of these awards (all german times): sat1 ran spezial, 10.3., 23:30 dsf reportage 11.3., 17:00 laureus world sports awards, eurosport, 17.3., 00:15 the last one is the longest with 1 hour, but i guess it's still not the whole show - and those are all sports tv shows, so i fear that we won't get to see much of mika. i'll try to record them all anyway.
  11. ok thanx. of course if the train ticket costs me 20 euro then it wouldn't make sense... but if i can for example buy a day travelpass or something, i think it might be worth it to save 30 euro per night at the hotel.
  12. thanx... how good/easy is the transport to/from the airport to the venue and the city centre? just looked for hotels and seems like the ones at the airport are the cheapest - i really can't affort 50 euro per night. at the airport you get them for 20 euro. and another one i found is in zaandam, seems to be a suburb of amsterdam, is that better or worse to reach than the airport?
  13. and shows again how important it is, to ALWAYS, ALWAYS meet up in public places when you meet someone from the internet!
  14. btw, what i'm wondering... why is mikaland somewhere in deepest siberia? it's cold there! or maybe my geography skills are just too bad. it's hard to make out on that map, might as well be the himalaya. :roftl: love all the mika & sunshine dating ones! and i love that pic, soo cute!
  15. thanx for the info. i know there are trains, but the german website doesn't tell me prices, and i can't buy the tickets there because it's foreign connections... do you know a website where it tells me the connections from amsterdam and how much it is, and where i can book online? not so good about that public transport though, if the last trains leaves at midnight, i guess mika only comes out at midnight to sign stuff. well, hope i'll find someone to share a taxi then.
  16. yeah, i was wondering that too... on this site it says something about hugh grant and other stars being there, but nothing about our mika. only mika häkkinen. http://www.laureus.com/press_releases?article_id=1961
  17. maybe the blink smiley just means that she's wondering whether he's performing there, maybe because she lives nearby?
  18. i'm also still wondering about the hotel. plus, those who are going to luxembourg the next day, do you know yet how you're getting there? is any of you going by car and has a spare place? if not, i'll book a train, would just be lots easier by car. and cheaper, if we share the cost for fuel. if you're not driving in the night or if i have to take the train, i'll definitely need a hotel/hostel for that night though. for the night from thursday to friday, i'd only book a hotel/hostel, if it's not much more than 20 euro - otherwise i'll take the night train, costs me 20 euro for a bed in the train (compared to a normal train ticket). anyway, would love to know where everyone's staying, there are so many hotels/hostels in amsterdam and i'd prefer if i was at least in the same area as the rest of mfc.
  19. bit OT here, so maybe if you have more questions you should ask in the hamburg or berlin thread? but to answer your question, you can't go back directly after the gig by train, the last regular train leaves at half past 9, that's too early, and with all the later ones you'd have to sit around at some station in the middle of nowhere for half of the night.
  20. hmm, i looked again at the london times and saw that mika only came out at midnight, didn't feel like it was that late. so maybe you'll have to hurry. but maybe he's faster in hamburg, who knows... don't know about train stations, i'm staying at a hostel nearby. that hostel is next to the altona station though, so yeah, i guess that's not too far.
