  1. OMG, there was a part 4? UR truly, truly wonderful.
  2. THanks for posting, Titania. I really enjoyed reading this article. I like what Mika said, "For me it's not about controlling so much as saying, why not?" and... "It would be very boring if we were all the same genetically and conformed to the same configuration, the Golden Numbers, the perfect proportions of people's faces." Boring, indeed. Very nice.
  3. Mirtilla, have you heard the beginning of this interview where Mika talks about his laugh ringtone? You are a true herione....thanks for the third laugh ringtone....it is my favorite. Well, thanks for all of them really....you are brilliant. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jzCy3CMpVQc
  4. I read through the two threads again to gather the information about who has Adobe InDesign....besides the three listed below, maybe Sivan and Mellody also have the program? Any others? It seems like it might be the best, those of us without it can still gather, write, research, edit, poll, copy, paste, boost morale, create ideas and send everything to someone to put it together?
  5. I really like your idea of a "Collector's Corner" and also Arts and Crafts. I think the mag would be a great place for these type of fan activities. I like the idea that the mag is both about Mika and also the fans who adore him.
  6. So where is everyone hiding today, in some other thread? Technically, I would say that the knitting thing is no longer a joke, cuz we all share knitting patterns and ideas in this thread and then compliment each other on those ideas. Mika is the master knitter and has the most amazing patterns which we all ***awe*** over. Does that help explain? If not, then you can look at these other posts below which might show you the trail of how we became knitters (partly it was the wombat trail that lead us down this road.) Maybe others will come back soon and explain more.
  7. I wasn't expecting those pics...that really made me laugh. THanks for sharing.
  8. The magazine is a great idea (thanks to Femifrosk and Bexxy) and I think it is starting to look very organized. It does take a lot to gather all the information and get it together in an organized way....but it looks like there area a lot of good volunteers. I do some editing at work and would be glad to help out that way and would also be glad to gather information from various sources and throw them your way....I guess research is my true forte, although I also write technical papers at work. I would be happy to help out in any way that I could. AS for the name, I will vote for Pointlessly Delicious, since it is: 1. so true to Mika 2. leaves the magazine open to limitless creative ideas 3. is a good name for an official magazine from a fan club, would not be confused as an official magazine from Mika There is so much good stuff out there already, just waiting to be put into this beautiful context. Let's go!!!
  9. You're right, it could be peach, but I think I will have pink purly knitting dreams tonight. And sadly, I probably won't be seeing Mika anytime soon in concert, either, so I will just drool over the videos and have my pretty pink dreams. Thanks for the screen caps.
  10. You have to watch a bit more of the video and even then it is just a tease, but some of us liked to be teased, right? Just don't blink, and you will see what I mean. Do I need to watch it again to get the times down? You know how difficult that is to watch it over and over and over:mf_rosetinted: Well, if I must, what else do I have planned for the evening? Let me just get another drink and settle in. DeMango, glad you are on my time! And ps....your earcandy is delightful. I'm sure I will see you in concert before I see Mika.
  11. And not that I noticed or anything, but I thought I saw some pink showing from the L'Olympia Paris concert....didn't you? Or was it just the lights? ...I'm sure I don't remember:naughty: If you look quick you might see it here.... I love the flash at the beginning of that video.... I believe that is Mirtilla's video and a big thanks from me to her for that. OK, no one else is here knitting at this time, huh? I will shut up now.
  12. It is so nice to relax after a very long, tiring day, and be able to come here to the knitter's pub, have a couple drinks and rotf from all the good "virtual" conversations going on. As for Cherisse, I always thought she was smiling just a bit too much, now we know why, huh? And the microphone cable, that would be a knitting term, correct, like a cable knit sweater? or cable (knit) microphone holder? It does take a lot of imagination to come up with good knitting patterns and be able to follow through. If my imagination every starts to lack, thank goodness I can come here and find fellow knitters always so willing to share their imaginative patterns, right Freddie? (What color wool goes best with cable knit?) I am thinking pink for some reason...
  13. A LITTLE masoquist? Try being in the same thread with someone with a whip! It will make you more than a little....haha lmao:naughty:
  14. I agree with you about Natalie Portman...I have always loved how down-to- earth and like the girl next door that she is. She is so natural in her interviews and very goofy and sometimes a bit shy. She reminds me of Mika, when she is goofy, she would be a good person to have for a friend, very caring and very real, nothing phony about her. I can't find the quote right now, but I love how she talked about fallling in love....she said that you don't fall in love with a gender, or a sexual orientation, you don't fall in love with an age or with some superficial physical attribute, but you FALL IN LOVE WITH a PERSON. It is a PERSON, that you fall in love with. She doesn't like to be labelled or put herself in a box either. She is young, like Mika, but has a solid sense of self and doesn't sway to cultural or other pressures. She has a mind of her own and is happy with her self. And she is very private and respectful of other people's privacy. She loves her family very much. Mika and Nat might be too much alike to be a good couple, opposites attract better, but they could be good friends and would probably enjoy each other's company, I think....they would have lots of laughs. Also, Nat loves to travel to different countries and mingle with the locals, although I think she often prefers to travel by herself. I also really admire the work that she is doing in africa and south america, she doesn't promote herself, she just does it:thumb_yello: So, who would I choose for Mika? Hmmmm, well, I guess it would have to be one of the MFCers, I will have to think about it a bit more.
  15. where? did i miss it? ****Edit**** never mind, I found it....ringtone #3.....perfect You are wonderful!!! Thanks for all of them.
  16. I really like that idea too. I would buy a copy, it would be great!
  17. What a wonderful thread! It has taken me two days to get all the way through it, but I am so glad I did. The reports were great and the vids and pics were wonderful. After all that, I almost feel as if I had been there... Thanks to all for sharing..and for doing such a great job of sharing. I love the bear and Mika's laugh....hope I get to hear more of that.....hint hint:wink2: MFCers Rock!! :punk:
  18. WOw, I had no idea. I think I understand the fear now! :roftl:
  19. Did you find her on google? I'm thinking after this poll and thread are done, she might be listed in Wikipedia or on google.
  20. Wasn't me. But I do see she is winning this poll at the moment.
  21. I agree that the Best Buy Exclusive is my favorite also. There is also the US Target Exclusive with bonus tracks: acoustic Billy Brown and acoustic my interpretation. Thanks, Freddie, for starting this thread....and for all the information.....it will be great to have it here in one place. Gotta start saving my money!
  22. I bought some sheet music of Mika's songs through musicnotes.com. I bought the sheets, downloaded them and printed them out. I like them, they are fairly good. It looks like they have Happy Ending also....it is here: http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/scorch.asp?ppn=SC0036472 I hope this is what you are looking for? Good luck!
  23. A knitted chicken indeed...that sums it all up. :roftl:
  24. I agree....that you are a legend. Thanks for sharing your story and getting us all straightened up on the matter. I was sure when I was watching the "no chicken tonight" video that Mika knew exactly what he was talking about. I also think he knows exactly what he is talking about when he says we are "mad" here. WE are a wee bit crazy, huh? But we are Mika fans, wouldn't we have to be a bit nutty?
  25. That is so TRUE! I was reading all the reports about the concert and looking at the pics and I kept thinking, but he is different when he pulls out his "French identity". He looks really happy too, I think, and so basically delicious. I want to knit some French patterns.....hpe I can read the instructions? Freddie do you have any French wool? Maybe something to calm me down a bit? I am feeling a bit hyper.
