I LOVE THE LOUISE RENNISON BOOKS, CURLY! *cough* they have me in stitches! they are sooo funny! can I please be added? I'm the sorta bookworm who queues up at midnight for the new Harry Potter books and reads them in a day. If I was to reccomend anything, it'd defo be Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder. it's brilliant, really.

it would most likely end up like this: Me: I would ask for you autograph, but I figured that might get a bit annoying because, y'know, you must want some private time, and it must be sooooooooooo frustrating having fans mob you and all that...*the day turns to night*...and so I was wondering whether I should just keep quiet or not, but then I sorta figured that this might be too good a chance to miss out on...*the night fades into daytime again* so would that be really rude and an invasion of your privacy if I asked you for it? *carries on talking while Mika leaves the airport*...*carries on talking as Mika climbs in Taxi...clambers in taxi after Mika* ...because y'know, I would really hate it if I always had to perform and that and I STILL couldn't get some quiet time to myself, but I suppose I would find it kinda flattering...*carries on talking while Mika gets out of taxi* Mika: just have an autograph and leave me alone, alright?! Me: *realises I am in foreign country in an unfamiliar town* oh WOW! THANKS! heh...where am I?!

I think it's clear that Mika and I have the most in common out of quite possibly EVERYONE in the universe: our names end in "k...a" shocking, I know.

that Beyoncé fall was really quite something! The David Bowie lollipop thing made me chuckle, and is it sad to say that when I clicked on this thread, I thought it had something to do with Mika and Doctor Who?: "you are not alone" "Mika is not alone" *cough*

I live with my mum and my sister, who despite being 22, is like my best friend. People assume I like Indie music because I dress that way, and they're right. I LOVE Indie music, but I love any other kind of music. I pride myself on the fact that my album collection goes from Vivaldi to The Libertines, and Sugababes to the Electric Light Orchestra. I went to the Mika album signing in Feb, and it was BRILLIANT! mind you, all I said was "can you sign this please?! =]...and this for my friend. Her name's Terri. With an "I". I've liked Lily Allen (her music) since her debut last summer. I don't agree with everything she says, but atleast she shows that she's a real person by getting pissed off in public. Her clothing line for New Look was, in my opinion, brilliant. The clothes and accessories were great, and she showed that she isn't a celeb who's against the size zero market for publicity, she actually feels that way, which is reassuring, especially to people my age who are buying so much into the media. I was really suprised when she posted on her MySpace about how she felt about her body, she's really prety to me, and size 10 is NOT fat AT ALL! she should have listened to some Mika!

Yeah, it was pretty cool! and yeah, that guy was a bit of a jerk, but his friend was okay, he smiled at me (I think it was because he was a bit confused at me leaping over, so he gave a little nervous chuckle, but y'know, I'm gonna say it was a smile lol!) Lots of people have been hearing Stuck in the Middle lately, I wonder if it's some sort of freakish musical sign...

As most Saturdays go for me, I was walking round the highstreet with friends trying to find a pair of jeans that didn't cut off my blood-circulation, or that didn't scream out "look at my owner's ma-HOO-sive hips everyone!!" So I'm feeling a bit bored because all my friends have ran into TK Maxx to try on all the jeans (something we do when we're all bored), and I'm waiting outside the fitting rooms, when all of a sudden, I hear HAPPY ENDING! What's more, is that they even played Over My Shoulder! AND as if things couldn't get any better: one man (student-y type) came out the male fitting room clutching a pair of red jeans saying to his partner "y'know, I thought "MIKA!" the minute I saw these jeans, and would you listen to what they're playing?!" Needless to say, I abandoned my (most probably half naked and confused) friends in the changing rooms, and bounded over with a grin on my face to this jolly fellow and said "WOW! I like Mika too!" didn't go so well though; he gave me a dirty look and walked off... BUT STILL!

hmph. There's an Indie/Electronica festival going on for Under-18's, which one of my best friends has a few tickets to. She asked me yesterday (because the event's on today) if I'd like to go, so me, being a fan of that sorta music took her up on her offer. She's got a boyfriend who I really don't get on with. I've tried to be friendly, and smile, and make an effort, but he really couldn't care less, and my friend always thinks he's the one being really friendly, and I'm giving him the cold shoulder. She takes him to everything nowadays, even if we say we'll have a really girly day together, she'll take him along and say "well, if we go shopping, he can meet up with his friends and we'll have lunch together!" and be all enthusiastic, and I'm left thinking "what happened to when it was just you+me?" I know like I'm the selfish one, but I really have given him a chance. I've given him loads of chances, I've been out with those two about 7 times now, and everytime, they ignore me, and when I join in the conversation or try to be really chatty to them, they'll give me a nasty look like "why are you here?" and I've not complained once, but she really should know how I feel, because I've dropped a few hints. Anywho, this festival? Well, she rings me up this morning to say that she's taking him too. Not only does this annoy me because it's yet ANOTHER thing where it was originally just us, then he has to be brought along as well, it annoys me because he doesn't even LIKE that sort of music, and I just knew that I'd be standing there like a melon, while those two are laughing it up somewhere further away, ignoring me completley. Not only that, but she asked me first, yet she'll pay more attention to him. So, of course, I said no, but now she's not talking to me because she thinks I'm being immature and selfish.
