  1. hehe I actually think if we all turn up wearing crotch lasers lining up and Mika knows about it, he could actually wear one on stage at some point Hey, I can dream can't I!?
  2. Well Australian cuisine isn't any more original, I feel. It's some strange mix between every culture on earth... I enjoy that! Meat pies were originally English, meat was wrapped in thick pastry to keep it fresh for longer
  3. om nom nom nom wedges with sour cream and sweet chilli sauce!
  4. Awww, they just said on the news here that the massive dust storms we had visited your country... you now have Australian top soil, er, top "dirt", thus your country is now Australian hehehe
  5. What's something awesome and fun that we can all wear/have on our person? I'd be (personally) against a full on item of clothing that we all wear, because we want people to be comfortable and look good in what they wear, but does anyone have any ideas about any nicknaks, wristbands, necklaces, glowing thingymagigs, etc, that are relatively cheap, fun and easily obtainable for everyone?
  6. Greetings from across the Tasman, Kiwis Did you enjoy waking up to the dust from Oz today? hehe
  7. With the new album hopefully he'll be trending soon and people might take an interest and vote VOTED!
  8. Oh but I AM an Aussie hehe

  9. I'm so excited this will be my first Mika concert as I was unable to attend in 2007. I bought my boyfriend and I tickets the moment pre-sale opened hehe take THAT uni class I should have been in!!! We'll be coming down from Newcastle and staying the night in Sydney. It'll be good to see the droves of the MFC that flock to the Enmore
  10. violetsky, earlier in 2007 I saw the Queen tribute show "Queen: It's A Kinda Magic!" ...it was simply breathtaking and so much fun. It was in our lovely art deco 1930s theatre in our town, it just seemed to fit so perfectly. I deliberately told myself before hand to let go of reality and just pretend it was the real Queen and the real Freddie - and it totally worked!!! Its probably kinda sad that I consider a tribute show the best concert experience of my life, but it seriously was because I was in an altered state of mind. Just believe its the real Queen, you'll LOVE IT!!!
  11. Its a shame really. The Montreal audience weren't really the most receptive. But I guess you can put that down to the fact that they were being made to sit in chairs, must to Queen's dislike and indeed Freddie's insistence that they get out of their seats on numerous occasions.
  12. Hiya seaside_rendezvous!!! Love your username by chance, I seem to have come here just at the same time as you, and like yourself I'm a MASSIVE Freddie / Queen fan... AND, the icing on the cake, I found out about Mika in the exact same way as you!!! Brian was defending Mika in his soapbox. I remember that the venomous attack on Mika by some poor excuse for a music journalist contained a description of Mika as looking "like a diseased Leo Sayer"... I knew that if the guy had to resort to having a go at Mika's personal appearance, then his music must be good
  13. never fear, for *I* am here! hehe I'm new and more importantly I'm Australian! Hurrah! (I've also been told that the forums are lacking guys?) I happen to be one of them too... well... it HAS been rumoured!
  14. aww you guys are great! Seems like a nice close knit community here, great to be welcomed so warmly, thanks a bunch ...and HollyD, you'll learn that I am obsessed with Freddie Mercury too haha... basically I am renowned for always showing up to fancy dress parties dressed as and in the persona of Freddie hehe (photos DO exist, just don't ask for them anytime soon )
  15. if Mika was in my bed... ...I would be too
  16. Hey there MFC!!! I'm riverbasil or Nick, whatever you wanna call me Like a lot of you, I like this fella called Mika hehe I'm from Australia (like some of you folks it seems)... which kind of sucks due to Mika's cancellation of coming here ha! Basically I found out about Mika early in 2007 when I was reading Brian May's (Queen's guitarist) blog on his website where he was defending a music "journalist's" brutal attack on a guy called Mika who I'd never heard of. Bri was rather furious and was a fan of Mika, so naturally I had to check him out. Long story short, I fell in love and was so relieved that a modern musician had finally excited me. In the first half of 2007 Mika was in Australia and regrettably I missed his gig due to my unstudious nature and university due dates. BOO & HISS!!! Anywho, I finally thought it'd be a good idea to join the MFC forum after having a resurgence in my Mika obsession the other day, which involved dreams and the conclusion that he and I should elope and run away together with a piano named Freddie
