  1. Hi Wendi The puppies are looking great now - so lively and extra cute. I'm glad they are less of a burden now with the feeding:thumb_yello: Thanks for all the pics, videos etc - I check up on them at work when I'm feeling stressed - they cheer me up
  2. Hi Wendi Thanks for the new videos & pictures - especially the video of Pebbles & Rags watching you feeding Smudge - so sweet that they take such a close interest. I hope you are finding time to look after yourself too
  3. Hi Wendi Ouch! I'm sorry to hear this - I hope everything works out ok.
  4. Hi DarkLight This is the closest I can get to giving you a massage enjoy
  5. Thanks, Wendy. It looks like they've worked out how their legs work now - soon there will be no stopping them
  6. The British Humanist Association bus ad campaign has taken off in a big way. Here's a great article from The Times http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/comment/columnists/guest_contributors/article5003070.ece Enjoy
  7. Hi SS - I'm not really criticising Katy - after all, she doesn't seem to have used the picture much - and, as JackViolet rightly points out, it doesn't look as though Katy knows how to use the knife anyway. If The Sun wants to campaign against knife crime, then fine - it a big issue, particularly in London. But to use the issue to take a pop at Katy, because she is current news, and to wind up the parents of the victims in this way in the process is just cynical exploitation of the issue to sell newspapers. The Sun is just nasty
  8. I'm not a fan of Katy, and I think the picture is ill-advised and in poor taste BUT The fact is, the picture is old, and seems to have been rejected by Katy or her management - who must have had second thoughts, or better ideas, or whatever. The Sun, however, are complete hypocrites - very few people would have seen that picture if they hadn't dragged it from the depths of the internet, plastered it all over the front page and related it to a current tragedy. The story has been picked up by other media, giving the picture a much wider circulation than it would otherwise have had. If anyone finds that picture cool, and is inspired to carry a knife as a result, it is entirely due to The Sun. And on top of that, someone waves the picture at Damilola Taylor's dad, in order to get an angry quote from him. As if that familiy hadn't had enough to put up with, without being pointlessly wound up by The Sun. rant over
  9. I wonder if it is a musical reference - you can use A, B etc to label themes and patterns in music - or it could relate to the rhymes in a song. I love the way Mika has reflected the letters on either side of the path - he's done it very precisely I have another interpretation of the picture. Mika is having trouble finishing off his songs because the word girl is stealing his words, just as playing with Sophie is using his time and imagination in real life:bleh: Get back to work, Mika
  10. I've just seen this on the BBC news website - it made me smile http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/7681914.stm
  11. I'm not sure there is such a thing as a "true-blood" brit - we are traditionally a mix of angles, saxons, celts etc. with a strong dash of viking More recently, we've had so many people from all backgrounds come to Britain that we have become very mixed indeed - so, as a half USA, half Lebanese British/US passport holder, he's about as British as they come And the banking problem is world-wide too - not just USA - so I would be very worried if he wasn't aware of it Actually, he refers to the nationalisation of two banks in the UK - so he is keeping up with UK news while recording in the USA
  12. What a great answer - he can't have expected to be asked about Madonna's divorce, so it must have been a spontaneous reply from him - glad to see he's aware of what really matters
  13. You are the first to post in my messages as well :) (I only know one smiley without having a list to select from, so you will see :) a lot :))

  14. Hi HollyD - I've just accepted you as a friend :) Thanks for the request

  15. Hi SS I've watched it all week - the TV show does feel a bit bitty and repetitive. I'm enjoying the webcams much more - I keep it on all day - you catch some interesting live action - tonight the lions had an encounter with a grouchy hippo - they have now gone to sleep There are jackal cubs playing and a hyena mum with a tiny black cub who peeks out of the den every now and then. The randomness is what makes it interesting.
  16. I've been off work this week, with a cold - I've watched the webcams during the day - lots of hippos (+ one small crocodile for about 5 seconds:naughty:) wildebeest and zebra and some elephants. Also jackal cubs (who seem to play all the time - day & night) and a hyena with cubs. The night-time cams last night had two female lions being grumpy with each other and bossing the males around I'm glad I was ill - otherwise I would have missed it all
  17. I don't mind seeing that pic again - I love it
  18. To be fair - that doesn't take a lot of doing I love this thread - such a daft idea - if Mika wins "president of the world" can I pay my taxes in lollipops?
  19. Thank you so much, Moonlightchild I'm listening to it now - he's a bit good, isn't he? I confess, I normally hate boy sopranos on account of the fact they rely on being cute too much, and I can't compete with them (I'm a soprano - and sound very boyish - when I was younger, I often lost out on solos to some snotty boy child who usually didn't really want to do it - it still hurts ) I like this though - Mika is very pure and clear and he has a nice full tone- I think he matches Aled Jones for that (Aled is the only other boy soprano I find worth listening to) Thanks again I can go to bed happy now
  20. I'd be too shy to do anything but gaze from a distance I saw Brian May & Roger Taylor in the street one lunchtime (when they were doing "We Will Rock You" at the Dominion ) I didn't dare say Hi - they were both glued to their mobile phones so it would have been rude anyway
  21. I've stood on that corner It's near where I work, so I made a pilgrimage one lunchtime (He wasn't there though ) xxN
