  1. Haha! I just remember it now - when Mika shot Cherisse, she hit the drums a few more times and M said impatiently: 'Die already!' and shot again. She hit the drum quietly again and Mika asked: 'Can't you just... die?' it was hillarious:roftl:
  2. It was a beautiful THANK YOU:wub2: See what we've found in the internet (me in the grey blouse:naughty:) and this one:mf_lustslow:
  3. I'm sure with his next album we'll see more of Mika in Poland! Reviews are flowing in - Mika is called 'the biggest showman of the festival', 'the black horse', 'adored by fans', 'outstanding vocals' etc. etc.
  4. Thanks Droopsy! Those photos are great! Now I'm going to begin my net search:thumb_yello:
  5. Just came back home, so here's finally my report. First of all: I've been to 12 Mika gigs in the last 14 months and this one really blew me away! Not only because it was in my home country, but because I know how choosy Polish festival audience can be and this time... if you read or watch any reports from yesterday in the Polish media nobody is talking about Nelly Furtado nor any of the Polish acts... Everyone is amazed with Mika's show!!! (and he was followed by 2 other artists) They didn't know how good our boy is live, I have not heard or read one word of criticism! That he was late? Well, they had to tune all the instruments... But as he said: 'I promise in ten minutes you will forget that (we were late)', I don't think anyone had a reason to complain after the show. It was approx. 1hr and 15-20 minutes long. He only didn't play Doctor John, Over My Shoulder, Touches You and Toy Boy but all the other songs he always plays were there! I arrived at the venue at about 1pm, which was enough to be 48th in the queue - well enough for the first row. Big thank you to the Orange and TVN team - they let all the fans with numbers well before everyone else could enter the venue - and from the gates we still had about half a mile to walk (or run) Big thanks to Nelly Furtado's fans (much, much less of them at the show than Mika fans). They were queueing with us and then let some of the MFCers in the front row - we promised to leave as soon as Mika left the stage:naughty: Just before the show Mika was interviewed in an improvised studio above the stage - his back was facing the audience but of course we recognised him and started shouting his name. He turned to us and waved in our direction:thumb_yello: The girls standing next to me were blown away, as it was their first ever Mika gig - they could not believe he was there. I could not believe he was FINALLY in Warsaw!!! When it all began with Relax, the audience reaction was unbelievable! I was so proud of us and of Mika and of the fact that even people who came to see other acts were amazed by his vocals, charisma, the band etc. etc. The highlights of the show were undoubtedly the trumpet solo, where Mika asked us to sing along, then his jump in front of the stage and run through the audience. And of course WAG!!! The girls distributed hundreds of golden foil sheets, we had confetti which springs at 8 metres high and... you can imagine the rest. Mika stopped singing for a while at the beginning and laughed instead:biggrin2: The cameramen were helpless as they no longer knew whether to film Mika or us:mf_rosetinted: He ended, as usual, with Lollipop (new drums instead of bins!!!) preceded by Grace Kelly. Mika was leaving the stage a while longer than usual and when he said the final THANK YOU, I could feel satisfaction and emotion in his voice. Now I'm waiting for the tv release - the majority of the concert is to be shown later by Polish TVN. Eeeh.... Can't believe the tour is all over:crybaby: Thank you to all the Polish MFCers I had the pleasure to meet yesterday! I hope (and I know) it wasn't our only Polish Mika gig:thumb_yello: All of you were AMAZING!!! Wielkie dzięki i do zobaczenia na polskim forum (o ile w końcu uda mi się zarejestrować)
  6. Here's my short review of the show. First of all, as I've mentioned before, I loved the atmosphere and the audience reaction. But even before the concert the venue looked like a huge picnic! People were playing cards, eating and drinking and singing songs. WE arrived at about 17.00 which was still good enough for row 3! What I absolutely loved was that Mika entered the stage when it was already dark - last time I was him at Eden Sessions where the show began at dusk. For the first time in my life I couldn't hear anything coming from the stage because of the audience reaction to the first sounds of Relax:thumb_yello: The first sounds I heard was only when Mika started singing the first verse. Then Big Girl and Stuck In The Middle followed with the 'world famous trumpet solo'. I loved the fact that Mika spoke a lot in Italian, but he also was talking in English, so that everyone understood. I couldn't wait to hear Kick A*s but I was expecting it at the end, after GK (like he did in Cornwall). But here the song was somewhere in the first half of the show and we all had a blast! I had the impression the whole Rome could hear us sing the chorus! Same was in We Are Golden! For the majority of the show Mika was shirtless - no wonder - it was boiling despite late evening. We could feel he had a great time and loved the interaction with all of us! Highlight of the evening: before Grace Kelly he said the whole evening was dedicated to his Roman fan club who not only were sending him letters asking to come to Rome but also went to his house in London and asked him there:naughty: After the gig we were waiting for him and wanted to ask about his first ever gig in Warsaw. We did succeed and what we got exceeded our expectations! Mika, when we asked him: Guess where you'll be playing at the end of next month, just looked at us and said: POLAND! Our reaction made a few people approach us when we finished and ask what he said to us and who we were:aah: All in all everithing was perfect. I'd like to thank Agnieszka and Kamila for making these 3 days really special. It was my first ever Mika gig outside the UK and you know what? I've decided to do it more often! Pics will follow shortly.
  7. All I have to say for now is that I was completely blown away by the Italian audience and energy! Full report will follow tomorrow when I come back home.
  8. Oh yeah, that was hillarious!!! I'm sure we all got GREAT SIGNAL there! LOL:roftl:
  9. Amazing venue, Mika in top form, heard Kick A*s for the first time live and adored it! I guess everything has already been said. I loved every minute of being there! (well, maybe apart from Diana Vickers set...)
  10. So can't I! I hope we're having a mega mega Mika hit finally!!! Wake up, world!
  11. I'm so glad I found this thread! Last time I saw Mika was Novber at Little Noise Sessions and then 3 gigs in a row (2 Hammersmith plus Brighton) and here it is - the PMD! I'm starting to make my Mika scrap book today - hope that will work and then... There's always the next gigs! The best cure fore so far has always been buying a ticket to another concert - no matter how remote it can seem at the time! Good luck everyone with fighting your PMD!
  12. I have no words to describe that evening! It was my third in a row (after 2 Hammersmith) gig and the fun I had as one of Mika's big girls was enormous! Although the gig wasn't sold out (we got to know about it from John - the audience seemed full), I think Mika was really happy with the audience reactions. People were singing with him every song, there were banners (I don't know what they had written on them as I was a little at the back) and the funniest moment to me - when Mika asked us to clap at the beginning of BIOTG and everyone started clapping really loud! Mika was really pleased, smiled and said that when he asked the audience to clap in London, it was - and he showed a clumsy and uneven clapping:roftl: I'll post my big girl / Mika photos in the lollipop/ big girl section tomorrow!
  13. The second show to me was a little more vibrant. The energy between Mika and the audience was incredible! I could feel he made himself at home there after the Sunday show! Enjoyed both of them very much though and saw many MFCers again! Looking forward to Brighton tomorrow!
  14. That is sooo funny After 2 gigs in a row withdrawal symptoms are going to be painful:boxed:
  15. As this is a looong thread now I don't know if anyone already suggested that: what about a Mika night AFTER the show (we'd just have to find a suitable place for that), as the NEXT SHOW is the NEXT DAY and many people are going to both?
  16. Crawley HMV - never seen it there. Actually haven't seen it anywhere here...
  17. I can't make out anything of the Hammersmith venue chart. Does anybody know if there are any seats available? Not for me though.... I'm thinking of taking my mum for the second gig:teehee:
  18. Thanks for all the reports and photos and videos everyone! It's still AGES to wait for Mika to give that show in Europe... but surely it's worth waiting:thumb_yello:
  19. So hang on - is that in London or Blackpool actually? Would love to see that live but think no tickets available so.... dream on dreamer...
  20. Yes, Over My Shoulder... I always melt when I hear it live. I don't have time for now for a proper report but I need to outline here how funny it was to watch people standing on the benches and clapping! The venue was absolutely unforgettable!!!!
  21. Still about the This Is It film... I was very sceptical, especially in view of the This Is NOT It campaign but now, after watching it twice, I think that was the most beautiful tribute Michael could have dreamt of. I adored watching him in great form, vocally he was unbeatable until his last day. And... my heart is breaking at the thought that nobody will ever see this beautiful show. I'm sure he would have closed the mouths of all the disbelievers and critics with this beautiful spectacle. You are the real king, MJ.
