  1. thanks for posting your takes on the lyrics & thanks @Sivan for filming it. i listened to this twice on the way to work this morning, then Modern Times twice. This is the song that's been stuck in my head all morning, making me bop around the workroom. I guess that means it's the winner? If this doesn't become some kind of nightclub anthem i'll eat my hat.
  2. not much pink... i legit thought this was a tiny pink skirt at first. also, why this pool so small?!
  3. Oh yes I'm interested… I suppose I could just buy it off you and resell it later if I end up not being able to afford the rest of the trip.
  4. Since the Boston gig got cancelled & i couldn't go back to NYC for the rescheduled date i've been toying with the idea of going to this gig. Looks like there's no tickets left, but really that's the least of my worries.
  5. Sadly not me. i resigned myself to it not being possible to fly back to NYC on such short notice & emailed ticketmaster for a refund. Hopefully everyone who can make it has an extra special Mikatastic time!
  6. @dcdeb when people get there should we wait outside and we’ll all gather and go in together at 6:00, or what? OMG ITS SO SOON!
  7. Welcome to the MFC Awesome they played his music in a store in the USA I love hearing stories of people randomly discovering Mika this way!
  8. ok thanks! and yeah, I prolly will need to buy a sweater or sweatshirt or something. I tend to overestimate how warm I’ll be xD
  9. Thank you so much for this info! do you happen to have a pic of the outside? When I checked last week I couldn’t find a good pic & the google street view hasn’t been updated in years.
  10. We have an opening act for NYC now too... Ty Sunderland! https://www.bowerypresents.com/shows/detail/421549-mika ......oh yay, another DJ.
  11. Awesome! I was wondering if you were coming to this gig. See you soon!!!
  12. Maybe so 😆 I wouldn’t know, I’m sure I was zoned out & just staring into the middle distance
  13. You sure? at Verboten in 2015 the opening act was a boring lady DJ if I recall correctly, that was quite a painful half hour to wait through
  14. The venue now lists DJ Coleslaw as the opening act so I googled. I really hope it's her https://www.instagram.com/coleslawinthecorner/?hl=en and not just some boring guy with 2 turntables and a microphone
  15. I don't know, but I can't wait until April 2nd to find out. Hopefully he brings out a cat!
  16. if you don't wear any green you get pinched! Also, green beer is a thing. I know it's late but St. Patrick's Day is also the feast day of St. Gertrude of Nivelles (The Patron Saint of Cats). https://www.mentalfloss.com/article/93339/saint-gertrude-nivelles-patron-saint-cats-more-or-less
  17. coming from Nebraska to Philadelphia to visit my sister for a couple days, then from Philly to Boston I will try to bring some partial sun, mid 60s, and no precip
  18. i joined since i already use discord for a game i play. I'm shy when it comes to talking, but i might listen in some day
  19. this time i'm not even letting myself get as excited as previous times, but... <me on the inside <me on the outside I've been updating my packing list all along, i've made google documents with a long list of what i still need to do & when, lists of what i'm gonna wear when and how much this all is likely gonna cost and my schedule plans and ideas for places to eat, i've plotted directions for everywhere i might need go, studied airport maps and rules, downloaded a bunch of transit apps, test packed all my bags, and still i feel completely unprepared. i just need to relax, take it easy... oh geez thanks Mika, now i've gotta plan for ending up on a broken train alone I can't imagine trying to do all this AND dealing with getting ESTAs and pre-flight covid tests and jetlag and travel insurance and all that. Good luck to you all! I can't wait to meet everybody
  20. Sounds good @dcdeb! Thanks for figuring all this out
  21. She's not kidding, the high is real. After Mika gigs I can't usually sleep, even when i want to. But if for some reason you're immune or something , there's always caffeine. I've never experienced jetlag, but this article has helpful sounding tips https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/165339#treatment
  22. well well well, i know where I'm gonna go take some photos in Boston!
  23. Is anyone else planning to go directly to the Boston airport after the gig and post-gig waiting around for a Mika sighting? If so, maybe we could share an Uber or take public transit together or something? Or if anyone is going to South Station via Uber I'd split the cost with you, then I could take the silver line from there to the airport, or whatever or something. I've just crunching numbers and fretting again as usual and thought I throw this out there.
